Place to visit for something to eat or to pick up a nice Artisan gift. Lunch can be busy but off hours are very easy to negotiate the aisle ways. lots of vegetarian and vegan options as well as desserts are readily available. Prepared meals are available as well as take out produce, meats and breads
I really enjoy that they serve food from local farmers.
Lots of little food, drink and cheese vendors. Like an upmarket indoor farmers market.
This place is amazing. I've had some of the sweetest fruit I've had in my entire life at such a low price. There's so much history and character here. This place is a must stop if you're visiting Boston.
love this place...they have the most beautiful flowers from stow to the most delicious bagels I've ever tasted at levends bagelry. Must visit.
neat place...lots of shops and options...fun to explore for a bit or stop in to pick up one or two items.
We've been coming to Boston for years and somehow I've never been in here before. Now I know what I've been missing! Such a neat variety of shops and places to eat. Produce is definitely more expensive than the Haymarket outside, but prepared meals are excellent.
Indoors, so convenient Year round. You can find pretty much everything here -all local sourced.
Lovely food places, great salad and juice place! There's also great coffee and a donuts shop too! Small farm stands too. Nicely done.
Very nice place to grab some quality goods. A bit pricey, yet a great environment.
Overly prices local goods (or locally made) you may consider treating yourself to once in a blue moon.
Tasted some great chocolate, but at $10 a bar, could not do more than the tasting.
Large meet and fish stalls, wine and beer cellar, some non edible items as well as a fresh fruit and veggie stand. Selection of to go food and Dr pasta.
Donuts, ice cream, macaroon, fudge and much more to please your sweet tooth.
This place has wonderful foods, access to MBTA, generally cheerful and knowledgeable vendors and reasonable pricings.
Some of the hardest to find beers. Best smoked salmon. Best coffee. This place is a must.
Wonderful place to walk around. Great food. You can get anything you want.
Really love this place. Great for picking up a gift or tasty treat for yourself..
We did a kids cooking class in the KITCHEN at Boston Public Market for ages 6-12 - lots of fun!
Did not like this atmosphere at all. One vendor for produce. Fish corner smelled. Ridiculous bougeis bathroom system requiring a purchase to use and they STILL weren't clean on a slow weekday afternoon.
Fun place to wander from vendor to vendor with samples along the way. Fish, bakery items, candy, nuts, fresh produce.
Half-mouth, one of the few cities in the USA that I don't like very much
Great variety of food to choose from while not breaking the bank
Great little market, There is a Ramon place that is over the top fresh locally sourced ingredients must stop
This places is so cool. I came for lunch and ate outside in the park across the street. The vendors care about other vendors. It s like a family in there and you can feel it as a customer. Can t wait to come back.
Such a cute market place. Love that there is something for everyone from florists and eateries to juice bars and soaps. Went on a weekend and wasn't very crowded. Can't wait to go back.
Interesting market space with lots of little stands inside containing all sorts of goodies. Definitely worth a visit.
Renovated vibrant market/eateries. Good selection of stores, although a bit 'gentrified'.
And definitely not as touristy as Quincy market.
Great food! Local vendors and good selection/variety
Oh yes! Cozy market, little overpriced but definitely worth it since it's mostly local and incredible
The Boston Public Market is an indoor, year-round marketplace featuring 35 New England artisans and food producers housed under one roof offering fresh foods, prepared meals, crafts, and specialty items. Residents and visitors alike can find seasonal, locally sourced food from Massachusetts and New England, including fresh produce, meat and poultry, eggs, dairy, seafood, baked goods, specialty items, crafts, and prepared breakfast, lunch, and dinner options. Everything sold at the Market is produced or originates in New England, as the seasons allow.
nice place to get in out of the rain, a lot of delicious looking food, we only grabbed a donut but would have enjoyed more shopping had there been time. one less star for sketchy bathrooms
Really liked this place, didn't know it existed until we walked in to find a bathroom. It is full of variety and not too overly priced items. I loved the different options from apple cider, donuts, lobster, bakery items, etc.
You must visit this place the vendors the food the Ambience is great come hungry
A very cool indoor market with lots of local stands. Go for lunch, go for gifts, go for a coffee, go for stocking up on produce, go for local beer & wine...just go!
I love this market place be warned that every vendor wants top dollar for what they are offering however I would say that most of them are well worth it. From local honey craft beer seafood local farmed meats and veggies artisan candy ice cream delis etc. It's a must visit location for any tourist and "homer" alike
Variety for days!! Friendly staff. Seating is not ideal for large groups as there is a lot of traffic, but you tend to figure it out due to what's happening. Food grown locally so that's an added awesome plus in my book.
It's pretty expensive, but fun to make your own meal ala carte. It's super easy to get to and right on the haymarket T stop, and there are a bunch of vendors inside. The popovers from one of the bakeries were fresh and tasty, we tried a fantastic quiche, but what blew our minds was the simple pastrami sandwich on light seeded rye. It was so juicy and flavorful!!! We also tried a dozen macarons, which were ok. They were decently flavorful, but a little dense with lots of icing.
Nice selection of local vendors. Plenty of freshly prepared food to choose from. Q's Nuts guy was super friendly, delicious samples! The website is very well laid out. Makes it nice to plan your visit.
I was expecting something like the Reading market in Philly. It's similar but not as busy so it's easier to enjoy. If only there was more seating.
Loved the variety of stalls in this market. From cider and donuts to noodles and yarn... All peacefully coexisting under one roof.
Some great food sold here. I can't leave without getting taza hot chocolate
Crowded, kind of pricey, and cramped aisles and slow service at multiple stalls
Local vendors who are delighted to tell you about their products. We always find new things to try and presents for others. Fun venue. Great food and wares. Buy local!
If you don't trip over the crack heads, meth and heroin addicts it's not bad..lol
Very pricey which makes it hard to go often. They have limited food booths to order lunch.
Came here during a weekend trip to Boston. We loved it so much, we came back twice within a couple days!
A great experience even in the snow and cold. Many vendors with plenty of fresh fruit, vegetables, and fish for sale at much better prices than the groceries. Lively environment.
Gourmet market. First experience with crepes. Was delicious. Apple pie crepe.
The best place to park for any city business that you may need to do, plus if you buy something from any store your parking gets a big discount, l mean a big discount
Free samples, freshly baked croissants, Q's nuts, oysters in the half-shell, craft beer tastings....plus much more!
Upscale and pricey but has a few unique vendors as well. Always super crowded during weekends.
Great food. After seating in a waiting line at the RMV for about 3 hours, as i walked downstairs i was hit with some good food smell and decided to be walk in. I had chiken and rice
Honestly I feel that this style market should be replacing supermarkets across the nation. It has everything you'd ever need at a reasonable price, all from real people and not major corporations. The people here are nice, friendly, and knowledgeable about their products. People aren't depressed here, which is much more than I can say about any of the major supermarkets and their employees.
Lots of unique items. Kind of pricey. Definitely a touristy place.
Great place find some special niche foods to eat and snack on
Tourist attraction for great food from local merchants.
Great Market of local New England products, from meats and produce to home products and beer wine and spirits.
Love this place for fresh produce, fresh pasta, or a great lunch!
Love the variety. Good for lunch, coffee and specialty items.
'Bout time. Way to go, Boston, finally providing a way to support the local scene. Everything here is exceptional.
Pro tip: parking (in the garage above the Market) is only $1 if you get your ticket validated when you purchase anything.
Elitist food court. What percentage of Boston RMV customers would buy anything here, or set foot here, or even understand what this is supposed to be? What am I missing? What public is being served? Pretty sure there are no Trustees of Reservations riding the T.
Definitely worth a visit if you're in Boston. There's a union square donuts in there and I definitely would go there for a snack if you're visiting Boston Public Market. Also check out the Taza Chocolate stand - good quality chocolate. If you like cheeses, you will definitely find some unique cheeses here - there's a few stands that sell cheese. This would be a perfect place to pick up little things for a date night at home. Wine, cheese, charcuterie, dessert, can also pick up some produce and meat to cook up a meal. Flowers too! A cool little market indeed :)
Red's seafood is the place to go for Lobster Rolls and chowder
