small selection, overpriced - ended up going to whole foods

Really interesting place to explore & walk around - we just ducked inside to get out of the rain, but it was worth it. Tons of variety of food. Had the french macaroons and they were excellent.

In my opinion, this is a landmark in Boston. The location is spectacular and you can find a good place to have lunch. By the way, the neighborhood is amazing!

Very nice variety of vendors. The space is easy to walk through and the people seem quite friendly and helpful. Would be nice to have some more seating but all in all a great public market

One of Bostons best local markets. If you are in the mood for great food and bright smiles then this is your place to be. Great for both families and adult groups.

We went to make a specific purchase from a particular vendor. We found just what we were looking for. Afterward, we strolled around to see the rest of the vendors. There are some nice high quality things, but we were most struck by the eye-wateringly high prices for produce. We needed a bag of onions, which we bought outside for $1. Inside, the same amount of onions fetched $5!!

Fab food and definitely worth a visit when in Boston

From the garden to your shopping bag for a reasonable price and served by friendly merchants. The assortment of fruit and vegetable is wide and comes from all corners of the United States. Other offers include bakery goods, butcher's cuts and some artisanal products.

Located right next to the Haymarket T stop. Nice variety of small vendors, selling lunches, cheeses, seafood, craft beers, chocolates, etc. A little pricey, but fun to poke around.

Variety of items from specialty shops, definitely place to stop if your going to Faneuil Hall.

Very cool touristy place to go if you want a snapshot of Boston. Lots of local businesses set up stalls and pop-up shops. Great place to try new food and meet people for a quick snack or coffee.

Pretty sweet market, accidently discovered it because I needed to go to the JFK bulding and I was told to park in the grauge underneath this market! Lots of different kinds of shops with plenty of foods and drinks!

If you do not eat from their wonderful wide selection of several cuisines and foods, you are crazy!! It is a wonderful blend of everything that your eyes will want to eat everything to the point where you can t eat any longer. My family wanted to come back here for our final meal before leaving Boston downtown every time and it is a staple for when we eat in downtown. Also, the customer service there is exceptional and I really enjoyed my time there for lunch and dinner. Also, it s easy access for Haymarket station is great and easy to come to and fro. Number one spot for food in a rush or for sit down!!

Wow! I'm glad I took the train to check it out. So many options! I got honey, blueberries, apples, peaches, blackberries. I couldn't carry everything I wanted, next time I'm talking a cart! You must go and check it out!

Shop local. Buy local. Every city needs a market like this to showcase the best meats, cheeses, produce, seafood, sweets, etc that the area has to offer.

Plus the the salmon burrito from the Boston Smoked Fish Co is one of the greatest things I've ever eaten.

A relatively small, but very appealing collection of specialty food and food-related shops and food stalls. If you park in the public garage that's above the market, there's a substantial discount for having your ticket validated in the market (there may be a minimum purchase requirement).

Everything in this market is twice what the product would normally be elsewhere. However, everything is artisanal right down to the squash and the carrots, so there you go. Honestly, it's somewhat depressing/uncomfortable to go inside and see exclusively the richest demographic in this city buying products from enthusiastic food artisans trying to establish their niche. I don't know if "public market" is the best name for this place. There's also Union square donuts in here some days, which keeps me from rating this place lower.

Cool place. Not really authentic, but better than the touristic market. We've had a few bites, some were nice, some were fair but over-priced. The outside market offers fresh produce.

Clean, modern, and well taken care of. Top tier vendors, but can be a bit expensive.

Great place for a quick bite or to buy stuff for a big meal at home. Local and artisanal goods, farmstead produce etc. Conveniently located above Haymarket MBTA station. There is seating indoors and outdoors. Often crowded but still fun. There are restrooms in good condition.

Really enjoyed the food we got at Inna's Kitchen, which features Jewish foods. We got the shashuka with two eggs over a latke talk with avocado and feta cheese. Very yummy.

Not sure what to write a review about exactly. Each individual company inside is great. A little overlap in some areas (similar types of vendors) but really good nonetheless. Better signage would be nicer. Knowing where the bathrooms are, which vendors are where, street exits, etc. It's pretty busy but always a nice stop when I'm downtown.

It has a little bit of everything. Seafood, Ramen Noodles, great coffee.....,.

Variety is huge here! But when I go, I go straight to Jennifer s Allergy Free Bakery! All vegan foods and treats and everyone who is working the counter is always so nice.

Spacious newly built year-round, indoor market featuring produce, meats, seafood, and other agricultural products, including a very large selection of locally produced beer, wines, and spirits, along with cooking classes, demonstrations, and other amenities. A lot of your favorites are represented, like Alex's Ugly Sauces and Lilac Hedge Farms, but there are so many others.

Great local goods. Everyone is very friendly. Fresh meats, veggies and a couple of places to eat. Really nice and worth the trip.

Lots of variety from greek, sandwiches, pasta, ramen, sushi, and pho. Since seating is scattered, you'll have to search for a spot during lunch hour traffic. There's also a variety of shops (food, tea, honey, accessories..etc) if you need to get some shopping done.

Most vendors have slow or under staffed booths so a quick grab and go is rare. Very expensive, but good quality. Not a good bang for your buck

Indoor local marketplace with a variety of food options and goods. Stopped by here for lunch on a Saturday while I was going through the Freedom Trail and heard good things about the market. I grabbed a cup of clam chowder at Red s Seafood ($5 for the cup, $8 for the bowl) and took my food to one of the open seating tables. For those with kids, there is a kids only section with tables reserved for the caretakers. There s are two sets of bathrooms in the building, and free WiFi. There s also water fountains with a water refill station, although the one I went to was really slow to dispense. There was a good amount of people in the afternoon considering it was a late time for lunch, but it wasn t overwhelming. It reminds me of a cleaner, albeit smaller version of LA s Grand Central Market. Overall it s a good spot to grab some food, do some light shopping, or even just wander for a bit while you re in Boston.

An incredible store in the middle of the Historic District, steps away from Old State House. Amazing variety of food items both fresh and local in many instances. Plus a whole lot more!!!

A place dedicated to healthy products! You can find fresh fruits and vegetables, bread, cold cuts, cheeses ... A very large selection of products but pay attention to the bill.
