Great place to watch theater, ballet, etc. Only con is the cafe is expensive and tastes like a subpar cafeteria. I guess in venues like this that is expected. Also $23 for event parking is not cheap.

I watched the phantom of the opera at seat of box 5th. It was nice. But my line was second. It is kinda hard to watch if a taller guy seat in front of you.
The Kennedy center is a great place to enjoy a night out in DC. It is clean, the staff were helpful, and most seats provided a good view. It is a bit hectic escaping as it's slightly set back, but there are plenty of cabs to assist you in getting home.
Excellent shows. Watched abook of Mormons here and watched a free show too at the concert hall. Expensive parking. Better book online to get a lower rate.
Always a great show at the Kennedy Center. Wonderful performances, friendly and helpful staff, beautiful building, and convenient parking underneath--but book parking ahead of time and get there early, or it gets tough to find a spot.
Beautiful setting overlooking the Potomac River. The venue itaelf has multiple theaters and keveks, and there's always something interwsting going on. They also have free performances on some of the smaller stages and many are very high quality and entertaining...sometimes national folk groups, etc. Check their online schedule since there's always something going in.
What a beautiful place, to come to Washington, it is necessary to visit this cultural complex so important for city, theaters, rehearsal rooms, presentation rooms, showrooms, well, do not miss. It is all very well maintained and has free programming every day. See time on site.
CONS: Seats were not comfortable. Very outdated. Expensive drinks. The place may be a part of history. I'm not sure about that. However, it could use a total makeover.
PROS: Nice and helpful staff. Most were old and kind of slow walking, but very helpful. Sounds quality of the stage performance was perfect.
Realy excellent amazing place to be in first time had alook around had an excellent time at the concert hall with melissa etheridge just amazing meet a lot off realy nice people excellent day and night from darryl ryland australia
The performance was not well done. Actors and actresses did not know their part which became very distracting. Not worth going to "Watsons Go to Burmingham - 1963".
Food was to die, only dislike about this place is they kept serving me cold bread. It cost me $200 for the meal but kept receiving cold bread made me mad.
The building an property is very nice and very clean. There is construction going on but you would never know if you could see it on the way in or the truck delivery signs.
It has been a place that i have gone to Many times. Great concerts, plays, musicals, ; etc. Many types of things and great preformances. Find a good parking lot bc some can be pricey. & the top view is beautiful. From the top floor you can the washington memorial and few others i think but cant remember at this time.
The Hamiltones tore the house down! Dinner was amazing and the service was superb. I had the most fabulous time. I love the Kennedy Center and I love how they represent my hometown Washington, D.C. with class! Giant monument which is used as a venue for concerts and operas. It is very glamorous and impressive. On the terrace on the upper floor you have a very nice view of the skyline and monuments. A visit is definitely worth it.
I have attended so many events here from listening to the national Symphony Orchestra to watching the musical Lion King. Downside is that the food is so expensive for what you actually get.
The acoustic system is immaculate. Diana Ross performed in front of a orchestra you could hear every note every instrumen on top of that Diana's voice rang out crystal clear
One of my favorite places and a "must-see" in the city. All the world flags and colorful exhibits inside, the free shows every day at 6 PM, the balcony outside, and the great big chandeliers...even if you don't pay for a show, it is worth seeing. Especially now that the REACH has opened up, this space offers so many possibilities in a beautiful venue. Mr. Kennedy would be very proud if he were to see it today.
Took a 30 minute tour I plan to Volunteer there once I get the training The facility is so impressive and staff is helpful in helping you understand the history of the center . They encourage questions about the center
I simply love this place. I have been here numerous times, and it never seems to disappoint. On 4/26, I had the pleasure of seeing Me'Shell N'degeocello in the Terrace Theater, and the experience was amazing! The acoustics in the theater are exquisite!
What a gorgeous venue. DC is an amazing place and our tickets for Queen Latifah, the highlight, especially since it was walking distance from our dinner along the Georgetown waterfront beforehand and our hotel afterwards. We had tickets for Row A on tier 1, I would say the acoustics are not brilliant for such an impressive auditorium, (we have been to hundreds of other concert venues inc the Royal Albert Hall) it was very on the treble side with little or no base and from our seats we could mostly hear the drummer and the band much louder than Queen Latifah herself. So the tracks she sang with less accompaniment were awesome and easier to hear fully. What amazing voice she has and to hear it up close was an incredible experience, it was especially nice when she spoke to the audience between tracks. She is one Sassy lady with great presence.
There are no bad seats! I was up on the upper tier, seats D10 and D12 and could still see everything perfectly. It's not the largest venue so even the farthest seats aren't too far away. Went to see the national symphony orchestra perform the music to Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets and was not disappointed!
A national treasure. Great for performances, including daily free performances, or just to visit. The new addition, The Reach, is beautiful and has many smaller venues. There is now adequate parking, $20 on line in advance, or $23 on the spot.
