Oh we've seen plays we've seen operas. Plays are far better, but I'm critiquing the theater right? It's spacious, and beautiful, staff is professional although, how often do you talk to them? It's always a good show. I deducted a star based on the $23 parking lot, ca monnnn.

It was a wonderful experience visiting there. We did not know that we could request a tour with. We only found out that after the friendly security staff told us. We were given a 90 min tours. We went inside some of the theaters and private rooms. The staff told us a lot of background info and history of the Center. We really enjoyed the visit and took ton of pictures.

This place is so iconic. There's always a great mix of performances here whether paid or free. The view from the balcony is a great intermission treat. Driving there is a pain but the trip is always worth it. Parking is kind of expensive though

The Kennedy Center makes the arts accessible for the general public. Aside from the plays and operas they put on, they also have free shows every night so the general public has access as well. I've been twice and have always enjoyed the shows I've seen.

Amazing shows! The free shows at the Millennium Stage each day at 6 PM are always great. Tip - take the Metro and the free shuttle bus, OR,...parking is cheaper at the Watergate Apartments next door.

The National Symphony Orchestra plays jazz with more precision and clarity than any other group in the world. I loved hearing them. The venue is world class, a campus, really. My big disappointment was that after buying expensive tickets, we paid $23 to park on campus. Another state-funded venue, Wolf Trap, has free parking.

Went to see Common with my daughter! It was phenomenal! I always enjoy visiting the Kennedy Center. The building is absolutely magnificent! The people are super friendly and helpful. There is a free shuttle to and from Foggy Bottom/GW metro. Looking forward to going again really soon.

Lovely dinner at the Terrace Restaurant! I highly recommend the tuna tartare. seeing Broadway's Aladdin was the icing on the cake, and the shuttles from the Metro make it truly accessible!

I saw the Page to Stage and there were some excellent excerpts and short plays. My favorite was from the Law Theater, which was about a real freedom of speech case from the late 60s regarding the "f" word. It was truly engrossing, thoughtful, contemplative, and exceptional work by the actors, director, and the writer/producer. I was extremely impressed, and I was so glad I was able to see it! The whole event was free and really wonderful! Thanks to the Kennedy Center for making it possible!

Even if you aren't headed to a show, the building has a great rooftop open to the public at all times. Occaisonally there are special exhibits there as well, and often free, so worth checking their website in advance

Absolutely beautiful and an amazing building that stands for so many great things. You'll be guaranteed a great show, no matter what your fancy is, whether opera, chamber music, jazz, musicals or just a good ol play! Easy to get to via the Foggy-Bottom Metro stop (only about a 10 minute walk) and a parking garage too. Definitely make sure to get out onto the upper terrace for the view before or after your show!

What can you say about this institution? Beautiful and full of great performances and a rich history of honoring the arts. Arrive a bit early to use the parking right next door, then explore the grounds and the gift shop (lots of unique gifts).

Exceptional.

Exceptional.
First level musical programs and even diversity (hip hop concert, martha argerich and dances in three different rooms simultaneously ...).
There are even days that free functions are made, find out online. They are generally students or future stars of great talent and vocation.
The place is very stylish and modern. With an architecture that allows you to appreciate its magnitude and generous volumes.
Enjoy as a couple or with a music lover.
Greetings traveler!

Going to the Kennedy Center is always a great but with tickets so expensive...I expect more comfortable seats and the right to take pictures without being harassed by the attendants. Said attendant also was rude when we first got there... I'd call it something else but I'm not gonna pull that "card" today. We'll just say she was particularly RUDE, to "us". So, 3 is all I can give for that experience. I'll still cokme back tho.
