Excellent, fast moving through lines, suggest you have sweet wines available for consumption, more R&B performers like Temptations, Ojays, Frankie Beverly, and others, as well as parking could be a bit more lower in price.

A must stop for sure! Wondeful views from top to bottom. Be sure to go to the top not just for the exhibit but the spectacular views especially at sunset! Oh and catch a show in one of the famous and gorgeous theatre's...that is if you have time!

We are National Symphony Orchestra season subscribers but we occasionally attended plays there too a couple times a year. The beauty of the Center is amazing. The halls from the front doors are unique and frequently have art and sculpture exhibits in addition to there normal exhibit of flags of all the nations who helped with the Center originally. Each theater is gorgeous and also unique in their decoration. In the Grand Hall an enormous awe inspiring bust of JFK overlooks the entire hall.

Very amazing place. I have come here now for two different shows. I came to see Maxwell and Cats. It is always very clean and the staff is always friendly. There seating is amazing anywhere that you sit. The ushers are always nice and they concessions are well stocked with lots of options. The bathrooms are also close so when you have intermission you don't miss anything. Parking is challenging and I recommend you pre-purchasing if you can while booking your ticket otherwise it is definitely a phenomenal experience. I highly recommend

The Opera theater was gorgeous, went to see red shoes and really enjoyed it. The main gift shop was already closed when we came out but they have a small one right out of the theater open for the folks that came out just like us. There are different foyers with flags of Nations and the American states... Lots of history and great quality plays and music. Worth the visit. +++Also go upstairs to the terrace it's a nice view for a.drink or a picture

Absolutely terrible! The MLK Jr. Day free concert ...

Absolutely terrible! The MLK Jr. Day free concert is always a crowded event, but at least in the past it was managed well. Not today. There was a complete lack of communication with the people standing in the long lines for hours. The ushers were no help and frequently stood around looking confused. There was no clear direction or updates on the status of tickets at all. They just let people keep lining up and waiting. When someone finally announced that there were no tickets left, most people could not hear since the person making the announcement stood there yelling to one side of the room. The people who would have been next in line for tickets should have been first to be seated in the Millennium Stage seating area, but were not. The ushers just opened the doors and there was literally a free for all race to the few seats there were. The entire queue process was disorganized and poorly managed. I have been to previous free events at the Kennedy Center and other venues in the city, but even with crowded conditions, they were managed well. This was absolutely the most disorganized and incompetent handling of an event that I have ever seen. To make matters worse, the staff and the theater manager seemed to be completely indifferent and some were even quite rude when a number of patrons who had been standing in line for hours asked questions about the availability of tickets, prior to anything being said by someone from the venue, and about reimbursement for parking. I frequently visit the Kennedy Center for free and paid ticket events. I am also a member and support financially. However, this event has left a bad taste in my mouth about the Kennedy Center. The lack of professionalism and mismanagement was appalling. I don't even want to attend anything here after this terribly handled event. This is very sad, as I've attended many events here, including previous MLK Jr. Day concerts, and even though it is always crowded, it has never been this poorly managed. This has made me not want to support anything here again.
Unfortunately, I'll think twice before coming to the Kennedy Center from now on.
