Impressive building and space! They have free performances every day of the year featuring up-and-coming acts and groups. During our visit, we were treated to a one-hour jazz concert.

There s a nice but partially obstructed view of the Potomac River and Virginia at the back of the building. Great spot for sunsets!

The merchandise store was not as well-stocked as I had hoped and the place is a bit out of the way for those taking public transportation.

A really grand place. The free tour is definitely worth taking. Would have liked to check out the free performances daily in the lobby at 6 PM. Did not see a performance so can't comment on that experience.

The JFK preformance center built in John F. Kennedy's honor is a great building however there are better locations to visit in the DC metro area. They do provide a free concert everyday and there are sometimes preformances.

Drinks and snacks are CRAZY expensive, as expected these days, but this is still a fantastically well-kept venue with an excellent selection of performances to choose from. I spent many years performing here as a kid, and was elated to see how beautiful everything still is here. We saw Hannah Gadsby perform and it was every bit as awesome as I hoped it would be. Able to bring your drink to the performance with the purchase of one of their special reusable cups. Smoking area was large and easy to access.

The Opera House of The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts has very poor lighting and audio. A Saturday night ticket sitting at Orchestra seat W-20 to see An American in Paris costs $99 + fees. I can barely see dancer s face. The view of right hand side corner of the stage was completely blocked.

You MUST go to a performance if you are in the area!! The free performances on are usually wonderful even if they're less familiar to the general public. The symphony is remarkable and I look forward to other performances. Tickets for certain events are rather affordable ($15 a person) if you're on a budget.

Within walking distance from the Lincoln Memorial, the John F. Kennedy Center was my last stop after spending half a day exploring the National Mall.

I was there slightly after 5pm and missed the free guided tour that starts as early as 10am (Ends at 5pm Mon-Fri. Ends at 1pm Sat-Sun). For those interested, the tour meets near the gift shop and takes you through the Hall of States, the Hall of Nations and the main theaters.

Though I missed the tour during my short visit, I was glad to settle in at the Millennium Stage for their free daily performances at 6pm. Backbeat Underground was performing that music, flooding the Grand Foyer with their funk-jazz sounds. Seating is on a first-come-first-served basis and you are free to leave anytime (just be mindful of other guests).

The staff on-site are very friendly and readily offer directions if you ever get lost. Last but not least, the center has a shuttle that runs back-&-fro from the Foggy Bottom metro station, making it very convenient for people taking public transportation.

The last time I went here was for the Gospel Explosion. Tribute to Atetha Franklin - awesome explosion. The lines moved quickly whether having a ticket confirmation or not. Everyone had an opportunity to attend.

Walking around the top of the Kennedy center is one of Washington's best sightseeing activities. Combine it with a coffee and dessert from the self-service restaurant and after that a free concert from the millennium stage downstairs (6pm) and you have a fantastic, affordable Washingtonian afternoon & evening.

OK It's the Kennedy Center and a lot of folks think its so swell that we go with others and I have to give it five stars. Don't buy the cheap along the side balconies unless you bring a parachute. Mine is pink.

We are car people and we park underneath and that's nice. The food runs from good to very good, not great. We never get invited to the Kennedy Center honors even though we are patrons(lowest level). They tout the free shuttle to the Foggy Bottom Metro but you won't catch me on the shuttle or waiting for the Metro at Foggy Bottom.

Visited for a free children's play. Although I felt out of place visiting such a nice place in casual clothes with young kids, the staff was extremely friendly and courteous. Several even went out of their way to chat with my children and make us feel welcome.

Every time you walk into the Kennedy center it feels like a special occasion, whether you're there to see a show or just walk around the exhibits it's always a great experience. The staff is nice and well informed. The only thing that counts against it are the ticket prices but there are ways to enjoy it on a budget as well.

The Eisenhower theater was pleasant from row V.

Comfortable seating with tolerable legroom for a 6'2" frame.

Even though the sign says that beverages must be in venue supplied souvenir cups, they do apparently allow you to bring in a capped bottle of water. I wish I knew that before I downed my $4 bottle....

Obviously a great venue for a wide variety of events. Last night was the Miss/Mrs. DC contest. That was rather disorganized, but the Kennedy Center is always nice to visit. Drinks are rather expensive, but there are reasonably priced food/snack options. I thought the $23 parking fee was a bit much, but unfortunately the norm these days. I do appreciate their new free concert series though.

Simply stunning historic performance center for the top shows and artists and elegant guests.
A beautiful 94 m- foot tall ceiling from which dangle gorgeous crystal chandeliers evoke a feeling of being in a cathedral to pay homage to the arts. It is an elegant momentous occasion you spend here.
We saw a superb Wagner's Ring Cycle and were stunned by the performance that rivals the less than stellar staging at (our beloved) Met in NY.
You mustn't forgo an evening here for the amazing array of performances they offer but also for the sheer pleasure of experiencing the grandeur the environs and hospitality of the staff.
There is fine dining, cafe, snack bars, candy kiosks and boxed meal (plenty of tables and seating out doors) options for your culinary appetite.
Parking available but best take a ride for ease.
Enjoy as we are doing this whole week of the cycle!
