This has to be our favourite ever restaurant. The service is out of this world and the food is superb. It's expensive but well worth it for the wonderful experience.

Lovely decoration. Not over the top. Food very tasty.
Scallops with risotto nero was absolutely heavenly.
What a beautiful place. I must say however, our food came out partially cold and when requested medium-well lamb, we encountered medium-rare. And my truffles were tossed on to the plate :( not strategically placed and a few were sideways.. We absolutely loved the crispy duck. Would come again for crispy duck and espresso.
They said they would seat us outside in 5 minutes . We waiting 20 and then 10 min later sat us at a table then said no I made a mistake and then sat us in the back of the restaurant.
Service - poor!
We had a great dinner with really tasty food, dessert and drinks. Cosy restaurant and good service!
Had a dinner date here with a guy I met from a night out and had good food. Only downside is it is a little bit too small and a bigger space would have been nice. Overall a good experience.
Been lots of times with work/ clients and always impressed. Took the other half for her birthday ended up in the bar by the front door even though booked weeks in advance, not ideal. Still great, easy going food with a sense of occasion and without costing the earth. Will always head back but will request a better table next time I book for a special occasion.
I have eaten here twice. The main courses were very very good but this beautiful chocolate dessert was a real let down.
Brilliant menu.
Cooked to perfection.
Lovely staff and an outstanding experience.
Nice venue but not what it was, high prices for adequate food and too cramped. Style over substance
Everything was top tier:
-Service
-Food
-Drinks
-Atmosphere
Tonight was special due to the company. The wonderful service made it so much better. They had a great veggie menu for me and everything was lovely too. Staff where beautiful. X
It was a good visit. My family had a lovely time overall and enjoyed the food and drinks too. I think staff can be a bit more attentive but they are not bad.
Ok food, drinks were nice but pricey. Waiter's don't treat you particularly well unless they think you're a millionaire.
Superb! An Art Deco dream inside, faultless service, and delicious, artfully presented food what s not to like? Try the Steak Tartare. Best I ve ever had. Highest of my recommendations.
Why would you ask for a view on the Ivy, it's fantastic
The staff were friendly and very professional, the food was delicious!
I always enjoy coming here. I don't know what's in the air, but feels buzz each time. some restaurant has it some don't I suppose. Shame that I don't have sweet tooth, the puddings too sweet for me.
One of the finest in London with great service and decor
This is a beautiful place to be food and service is fantastic
Had great cocktails as usual in the spacial lounge of the Ivy Club. Extremely Covid safe
Amazing food and great service I would happily return here in the future
Lovely place. Specially their dessert. Soho branch opens till 11.
Chaotic door system on arrival. Food was mixed. Starter was lovely, main mediocre. The table we set at was supposedly a 4 top but actually it meant that two of the guests were being bumped into non stop by the service staff as the seats should never be positioned in the space that they were. Service was very poor. Wine orders forgotten (twice). Tea ordered and the wrong variety delivered. Water service appalling. Overall disappointing. If you are The Ivy you d expect more than this and considering the total bill you d expect them to deliver.
Food: first class.
Service: attentive.
Loved it.
You should go.
Beautiful place for private dinner organised for a university reunion
Great place, always busy, flawless service and great selection of food.
Meals are OK, but the speed of serving is super, grade, and slow. We entered at around 12:40, we had an appetizer at 1:00, and then... at two o'clock! ! ! Super dumbfound! As a result, our entire trip was in chaos and all had to be rescheduled.
Passengers with time schedules should carefully consider them.
The original Ivy - classic dishes and experience. It's a beautiful place with a great atmosphere. Highly recommend!
Third time at the Ivy and this is the worst experience. I chose it to celebrate my birthday . The table is crammed in between two others either side so nil privacy, you are sitting at someone else's elbow! The waiter was useless, unprofessional, stretched across several people at different tables to ours to get things off the table ( hasn't he been taught to work from the left only? Apparently not!) He tried to get me to taste the wine while I was ordering our meal with another suited waiter and then tried to pour it to my wife before I had given the OK. I was really looking forward to the experience but ended up wishing I had gone elsewhere. The food when it came (50 minute wait for chicken) was good but the whole ambience was ruined. Sadly as with many places, it is complacent and with plenty of people wishing to see what it is like they will assume it is doing a good enough job. I for one will not be returning and will be passing on the word to my friends not to bother. Poor!
The mock tails were not as nice bar that fantastic :)
Lovely venue, delish food and good Sauv Blanc but couldn't help feeling I've had similar if not better food elsewhere without the price tag.
However that being said it was outstanding. You go here because it's the Ivy.
It's stunning all around and while you can ha e a similar experience it's the fact it's the ivy that gives it an edge.
Service wins you over even if the food isn't too imaginative. From the moment you step inside to the moment you leave you are treated with every courtesy.....thank you for a lovely night and 2 brilliant bottles of plonk!
Was very good service, friendly staff and great Shepard's pie.
Visited yesterday as good as always and got to meet bake off chef Ryan who was lovely with his time and sent us a stunning twist on lemon meringue dessert
Incredible food and the staff were fantastic. They made our anniversary so special. I ll never forget this meal.
Ive been to a few of the cafes but none of them as good as this one. It is the original. Highly recommend the creme bruleee
This is a delightful, stylish restaurant with great food. I love it
Had a nice lunch following a work meeting. Food was nice and the restaurant has a nice atmosphere. No celebs though.
Outstanding service and staff. Made our special day in London a real great experience
Good food, excellent service and great for pre matinee lunch. Only negative is the seating around the outside...tables are so close together that private conversation is impossible
You will have to sell a Kidney to pay the check, at The Ivy but it will be worth it .Fine Dining at its best sorry for the late review , look forward to see you guys after the lockdown . Thank you so much
We had a pre-theatre dinner for four of us. It was buzzing in the dining and bar area. The food was excellent. Service was attentive, friendly and they were conscious of our need to leave on a deadline. They passed on every measure.
Great atmosphere, yummy food, terrific staff and service.
Excellent food. Top quality service. Beautiful surroundings and great atmosphere. A must visit!
Didn't think we'd be able to get in on short notice, but managed to and I can say it's the best decision made. The food was incredible and service excellent. Would highly recommend for anyone wondering whether they should go.
Well what a place...a step back to those halcyon days...service was on another level the staff are so attentive and the food was exceptional..if you take in a show then you have to go here and if you dont take in a show go anyway
We love the food here. The atmosphere is great, modern decoration with the bar in the middle of the restaurant in brilliant bright colour as an unusual centre piece. Ultimately we come here for the food, which never disappoints. The service is impeccable and you almost always spot a celebrity dinning here. Highly recommended.
Have been trying to book this restaurant since the beginning of November for a party of 7 for my husband's birthday. Each time I rang I told them exactly how many people were in the party and what it is for. They have now decided that they couldn't accommodate us and we should have been told this in the first place. The attitude of the staff is appalling and they are certainly not deserving of the amount of money I was prepared to spend. They are obviously as pretentious and elitist as their reputation and I for one would rather give my money to a business that is far more friendly and actually wants us in their restaurant.
Disappointing. We went for Saturday night dinner, the restaurant was busy and we arrived a bit early to have some drinks at the bar. They sent us up to the members bar which was beautiful and the service was immaculate. One of the More
Attentive staff, beautiful setting and delicious, fresh food.
Lovely decor.
Really a great place to sit and have a beer. Please don't be uproarious, as there are people eating.
The Hamachi Tartare was drowned in vinegar and vegetable matter to the extent that we could literally not taste the fish (hamachi).
Scallops were fantastic. Beautifully prepared and presented.
Calves liver was pretty good, though ten seconds from dry...
Waiter was upselling. Very odd. We simply must have something in the vegetable realm. OK...give us the spinach...
Spinach had sand quantities suitable for a beach umbrella. This is where I found issue...I don't like the feeling of grit between my teeth. THEN...
Busboy took our bread plates and was confused about giving us new ones, though the bread boat remained at harbor. Waiter was then confused about the concept of "please bring a butter knife for the bread"... and brought 2 steak knives. "I have steak knives".
"Yes you do. But we would like butter knife. A moment, please....One sole regular knife. Not two. Not a butter knives. Very strange. Who cares? Well it was just part of the parody...except it should have been a nice meal.
Just a really fabulous place to eat food. Service outstanding but understated. Such a great ambiance. Money very well spent.
Very good and great value for money considering its location.
There s always room for betterment, no matter how good you are.
Old school place, simple dishes, quite pricey tho. Great before shows.
The place is good and I ate a crispy duck which was delicious.
Amazing food. Great date night spot! Not over priced.
Lunch : calf liver are medium cooked and super soft and juicy. No weird smell or taste, just like a tender piece of pork Belly.
Dessert : perfect blackforrest cake chocolate and rum cherry are in well balanced, best ever have been in london.
Because the lunch experience is so good, I returned for dinner in short notice for snowcrab linguine with garlic.
It's fresh snow crab meat and every bite can taste it subtly. Went well with chablis burgundy white wine.
Big name traditional restaurant. Menu looked appetizing. Food turned out to be very average.
Had a small steak tartare as a starter. A bit on the dry side. Flavoring OK but not brilliant.
Shepard's pie was supposedly a popular dish and the presentation looked good. But tasted no better than what you can get in most pubs.
One of us had the lobster spaghetti as a main course. Said it was too dry and could not finish it. From the looks of it this was a dish of plain boiled spaghetti tossed with some lobster meat. Very disappointing.
Another main course was Iberico pork chop but the meat did not taste or Iberico quality.
Place is quite nice.
Service efficient and friendly.
Overall the Woraeley wins hands down.
History in the making. With every visit you leabe with memories
Great food in art deco dining room upstairs. Service was obviously pretty good to say the least.
