Always a pleasure to dine here. Baked Alaska is a must.
Lovely place to go food fantastic staff very pleasant
Excellent food and personal service. Highly recommend eating here. Prices are high but reasonable for the quality.
Expensive but worth every penny...if you like sushi try the seared tuna sashimi...you won't be disappointed!
We ate great and they treated us very well. It is very expensive for what they offer and the tables are very small. For that reason I do not give it a 5 stars
Gorgeous place for a fancy dinner. Save space for dessert because I was jealous when I didn t get one!
Staff are lovely and down to earth and the food is high quality.
You can't say you've been out in London until you've been there
Such a lovely place. Iconic place to eat before a show. Food fresh and tasty. Staff helpful but unobtrusive
Excellent place, service and excellent food 100% recommended.
Great meal at reasonable price, lovely atmosphere. Real treat for a day out in the city.
Although they say they are knowledgeable of the meat, however its seafood and mainly salmon, cod and pasta with seafood all masterpiece
Great service and great food in a really nice atmosphere.
Had aftenoon tea here. Really good with very helpful server.
Definately would recommend.
Fantastic food and service from amy. Will be returning
Thank you for yesterday I had a fantastic afternoon with my five friend from Russia.
Great food, service and experience. Love the cocktails!
Disappointing. Went earlier in the year was also disappointed then. Did not reach expectations. Sorry
I didn't like neither dislike. My beef was burned and the mashed potatoes was dry. The seabass of my wife had many thorns. The dessert was good. The price was normal by the food. I won't return.
The rather bland fish normally wouldn't warrant a poor review, but finding a bug in an ice cube in my old fashioned 1/3 of the way in and then only remaking the drink without comping it drops it one more star. There was a small bug literally frozen in the middle of one of the ice cubes in my cocktail. The cauliflower soup was good.
Food fantastic. Professional and friendly staff provided excellent service.
Well it's The Ivy! Didn't disappoint, had romantic meal with my other half. Great ambience and not overly pricey. Lovely food.
Love the place. Still is a classic. Food and service were nice. Not too formal yet attentive and quick. Value for money is given, good portion size.
Definitely coming back to this place. In general all caprice group restaurants are very good.
Average service , average food and ridiculous 12.5% discretionary service charge. Wouldn t recommend
I would like to eat at a restaurant with good British cuisine because it was a long trip, so I made a net reservation and headed.
The previous plan was about 30 minutes late and I entered the shop at 19:45, but guided me carefully.
The store was almost fully occupied, and I was not quite a high-class feeling I had imagined because I was pretty upset, but I was able to spend a very satisfying, smart, helpful, and very satisfied time with the sales staff.
The food is often said that British food is not so good or thin, but it was not so good and it was usually delicious.
Simply fantastic. The food is incredible and the service is first rate. The signature is the shepherds pie. I had it with a side of cauliflower cheese and it was all delicious.
Excellent food and wine not stuffy worth the hype - that good - will definitely go again
Very good, delicious food, very friendly and professional staff that made us comfortable right from when we walked into the restaurant. Thank you for the lovely dinner! Will be back
Food:
Perhaps this brasserie deserves a little more recognition than their eminent clients. The food is quite good for a Modern take on traditional British food. I ordered from the vegetarian menu and had the mushroom soup to start and the spinach and smoked agnolotti for my main. Both were delicious, however not tantalizing enough to brag about in detail. Side note: not particularly vegan friendly, so if this is a problem, I wouldn t recommend going.
Ambiance:
The most rewarding part of the experience. Has a cool and relaxed setting - a great place to grab a drink and/or a meal before heading to the theatre.
Service:
A bit faulty and inconsistent - the original server I had was incredibly inattentive (took forever to give me the menu and take my order). I was the given another server who was the complete opposite: polite and attentive.
Very nice and welcoming restaurant. Perfect service. Really good cuisine
Beautiful decor, great food especially the deserts, very friendly and helpful staff.
I have been there twice and both had a great time... that is only I did not have to pay...;0) I would go upstairs (The Ivy club) to have fun or would go to The Wolseley for a great experience. Not sure what they are target audience like nowadays.....
Great place. Very sophisticated, food was amazing, as were the cocktails.
Super friendly and everything was delicious! I will be returning
Brilliant lunch and great ambience especially with no celebs around !!!!!
The atmosphere is chan chan !!!
I'm looking for an English restaurant and watching a Google map.
Pie and fish have cooked a dish.
The pie was delicious! (I might be hungry even in cold weather)
It is a piece of mush potatoes and cheese topped on a unique mushy taste and salty minced meat + mushroom!
My server is very British food!
I got two pies and a fish dish and I got 43 pounds.
Beautiful place. Wonderful staff and the best food I've had for a long time.
Pretty good for London. From the outside it is not very attractive but inside it's pretty good. By cons it's VERY noisy (as often in London). The dishes are expensive but good. Avoid the chocolate box for dessert (excessively expensive)
It was definitely tasty, but not quite up to the expectations of reviews and prices. The steak was a bit tough.
A fashionable place in the neighborhood of Convent Garden. Good food and good atmosphere.
First time to the Ivy in London. Food was excellent, service great, staff knew their stuff
Lunch to celebrate my birthday. Service and food superb. A birthday to remember
Had a lunch reservation.
The service was excellent. Advice was offered on wine and tasting was no issue before choosing.
The food was of the highest quality and cooked to perfection.
The restaurant was busy and had a vibrant atmosphere.
I cannot wait for my next visit.
Was a little disappointed by this place, although the service was attentive and they did their best to make up for the disappointments. If you're eating with only omnivores there won't be a problem & the food will probably be excellent. We had booked in advance and let them know a vegan was coming - they had assured us of vegan options for each course. Table bread not suitable for a vegan - they offered an alternative of seasoned roasted broad beans (very nice) once I raised the issue by asking if I could eat the bread, but didn't volunteer the info. 1st course (starter) - 1 option; nice but over salted. 2nd course (main) - 3 options; nice but my over salted 1st course made this bland to the point of tasteless. 3rd course (dessert) - 2 options; sorbet or fruit salad! (Really!). My veggie companion had both the first & second courses corrected after arriving at the table incorrect. No issues for the omnivores.
Not cheap but the food was superb and the service faultless. They will even pipe "Happy Birthday" onto your dessert plate if asked.
Not as posh and select as I'd been led to believe. Recommended.
Service was excellent and friendly. Dover Sole was perfect - best ever. Likewise, Shepherds Pie was incredible. Wine selection good but overpriced.
Kindness
I ate lunch at the course.
I just did it.
Service was poor, had to ask 3 times to bring veggies we'd ordered, they came eventually as we finished our meal. A smug sorry, we'll knock it from the bill was their response. They didn't knock off the service charges. The celebs around us clearly got the full service...
Nice food, friendly service throughout, not too pricey and s wonderful peppermint tea.
Superb service, good choice of food and fabulous decor
ABSOLUTELY STUNNING. Beautiful restaurant with beautiful food. Would highly recommend.
What can you say about this iconic restaurant known the world over
Excellent food and service. Staff very nice and efficient.
Recently went for my sisters birthday, the food was delicious and beautifully presented. Beautiful setting and lovely calm atmosphere in the restaurant.
Attentive, friendly, efficient service. Excellent food. Delightful ambience.
I wanted to love this place. Had been waiting months to come to London for our reservation. But my squash was nearly raw and the waiter was unfriendly. Perhaps just a bad night but...the maitre d however was fantastic and the drinks were delicious!

Ace food, attentive staff and not as pricey as all that. A delight!
