This is a great place to shop if you want good quality items at reasonable prices (if there's a sale), provided you have a good 5 hours set aside to find what you're looking for. That's per item, not in total.

If this place had conveniently placed electronic directories, I would love shopping here. They have good stuff. As it is I will never shop here because it was organized by a monkey and the signage was donated by pre-Christmas-ghost Scrooge.

I ve been shopping at Hudon s Bays since I was a child and this is one of the best Bay s I ve ever been to. It has several levels and they have taken the time and effort to ensure all the displays are appealing and tastefully arranged. They often have great sales to watch out for. I love shopping here ... always have and hopefully always will.

Review based on my experience shopping on the men'...

Review based on my experience shopping on the men's floor on six.

Hudson's Bay went through major renovation back in 2012, even reverting to its old, albeit classier, moniker from the colloquial "The Bay" in preparation for the invasion of Nordstrom, and it worked. For a little while. The sixth floor was beautifully renovated to open up retail floor space and use more natural light by taking advantage of its six-storey height, but the novelty was short-lived. While everything looked amazing most of the brands were the same old tired bunch, just in a prettier setting. Sure, new image equals new brand partnerships, but nothing to be too excited about. Just carrying a limited selection of certain brands isn't good enough.

Unfortunately, Hudson's Bay isn't immune to regular discount cycles in order to move merchandise despite its expensive facelift. The result is gaudy and colourful discount signage, racks and tables of discounted goods in the middle of the aisle to make room for new full-priced product, and the mess that goes with a severe lack of customer etiquette. That said, they have difficulty moving merchandise because sale prices are still high.

Visual merchandising is weak, doesn't change much, and leaves much to be desired because the interior has so much potential, being a heritage building and all. Not sure how their VM department works or how much creative freedom they have, or rather how many restrictions they must face, because I can memorise the entire sixth floor layout (or maybe I shouldn't visit so often).

I'm the kind of person that likes the old department stores. This Bay is fairly large and has many floors. Improvements have been made lately to make the place nicer inside and there's a lot to choose from.

Hudson's Bay is always a hit or miss - in every single aspect. Sometimes you get good service, at other times you have to hunt for someone for several minutes to merely open the door of the fitting room.

Three stars is very generous: slow elevators, at least one escalator going up is always broken, agressive beauty advisors who dobt care to help you just hungry for sale. I prefer to pay more at Sephora to avoid talking to them.

I went with my sister to buy a new bathing suit for our upcoming trip. I now take back everything I've ever said or thought about the Bay as what a fabulous selection! It's the beginning of bathing suit season & they had a really great sale! Unbelievable! I thought the Bay was an old lady's store along with being very expensive, NOT true! Bought a beautiful in style bathing suit, cover & a couple outfit's. I was so pleasantly surprised & definitely going back! Think I'll even get a Bay card! Definitely 2 thumbs up! Oh, and friendly sales staff too!

Lots of expensive stuff crammed into the most drab labyrinthine space I have even been in. Good luck finding what you are looking for. Good sales sometimes, but shopping here is so much of a hassle it's still barely worth the visit.

I used to love the Hudson Bay but now every time I go in there it seems like its on the verge of going out if business. Boxes everywhere, half assed displayes. Especially on the higher floors. The home section on the 5th floor is dismal. Sad to see as american companies take over.

One of the worst customer experiences ever. The security guard allowed the volatile driver of this car to yell "tell her to shut her face up". Security guard shrugged his shoulders and left. I did not feel safe. Returned my items and wont shop there again. No manager came to speak to me.

Hudson's Bay is the essence of Canada. They have just about everything you could need in an attractive setting. Courteous sales people, sometimes a little hard to find though. Look for the people dressed in black.

I've always enjoyed visiting this branch. The men's section is a dedicated floor (on 6th floor) which provides a great deal of choice. The staff are helpful and attentive but not so much so to be considered an annoyance. I've been shopping here for years and will continue to.

Services have not been as great.

Services have not been as great.
The worst is order online. They charged your account immediately but came in a week - the earliest. With the mail strike, I didn't get my swim suit a month after my holiday.

Online usually offered different prices than in store.

I've had amazing service here, returning several times to make minor adjustments to a suit at no extra cost. This location is definitely beginning to show it's age. A little pricey, but the selection and service more than make up for that.
