Wonderful Hotel and Staff ! This Hilton is simple great! Since 12 years I still stay there for almost more than 30 times! And it is always a pleasure to be there. Now after rebuilding, it is still more wonderful there. 5 Star PLUS!

The decor in this hotel is hideous, but the garish carpet seemed insignificant in light of the unprofessional management at the helm of this sinking ship. This was, by a wide margin, the worst hotel that I have ever stayed at in my life. To the credit of the management, they were excellent at evading responsibility and making excuses. We booked a room with two double beds, confirmed non-smoking. We were not made aware of any problems with the reservation at the front desk, however we were met with a cloud of smoke in our room. Not wanting to stink for the whole weekend, we requested a move. Even though it was a Thursday night, we were told that we would have to stay in the smoking room or move to a room with a single king bed. I held my tongue regarding the inconvenience of sleeping on a pullout mattress for two nights, but we got to our room and discovered that the heating/cooling system was broken. Once again, we knew nothing about this until we walked into our room and were sweating within minutes. If, for some reason, every other habitable hotel in Chicago is booked and you must stay here, be sure to check your bill. We were double-charged for parking. I am not a fancy or demanding person. I don't have a problem with people making mistakes or systems failing. When both of these things happen and the chosen solution is hoping that no one will notice, I become compelled to warn others. Also, I'm not kidding, the carpet.

Enjoyed a lake view room on the 28th floor. Very clean and comfortable. Executive lounge was nice. Good snacks. Nice breakfast with excellent coffee. Glad the pool is back in service. Was being renovated during my last stay. Great location.

Location, location location as they say and this was perfect. Great room, a little weathered over time, but clean and tidy. We had a two room suite, with microwave and fridge, sofabed and two double beds. We also had two TV's, one in each room and the room overlooked some other buildings. We used the pool and gym on the top floor of the hotel, which has a large window with some great views of downtown Chicago. We used valet parking which was @70USD per night. We arrived at the hotel, unloaded the car and handed our keys to the waiting staff.

CREDIT CARD INFORMATION STOLEN FROM MY ROOM!!

CREDIT CARD INFORMATION STOLEN FROM MY ROOM!!

My credit card information was stolen from my room during my week stay in late December of 2017. Someone went into my room and took my credit card information and processed my information manually online. I checked out of my room at noon on 27 December and sometime later past midnight, I noticed about $4k was charged onto several of my credit cards. I would have never suspected anything had I not logged onto my accounts because my credit cards were not missing from my wallet. These credit cards were not used once during this trip. Only the credit cards left in the room were fraudulently used but not the ones I had on my person. The same merchants appeared on my different credit cards for the fraudulent transactions. These scumbags purchased uber eats and tried to make large purchases for shoes and kids clothes. I have never used my credit cards for these locations in the past.
I filed a police report the next day and a complaint with the hotel but the hotel did not provide much help in the matter. This has NEVER happened to me in the past. The person or people who had access to my room at the Hilton Magnificent Mile Suites got away with it ...The credit card fraud departments I spoke to notified me that the merchants never provide transaction information such as delivery addresses even if the transactions are fraudulent which is a damn shame. They also mentioned that these type of fraudulent purchases are typically made during late hours when one might be asleep to ensure the transactions process through. So its hard for these lowlife pathetic shmucks to get caught. This was a huge eye opener for me. I highly suggest that if you stay at this hotel, be very careful to avoid your personal information from being stolen. I would have given it 5 stars had it not been for this HORRIBLE experience. I did not think I had to hide my wallet and purse for a room that I was entitled my privacy. Thankfully, I was able to get all my money back from the credit card companies. I loved the room itself, but it was a horrible experience that was not worth the stay.

P.S.
I don't care for a response from the hotel if you're only going to tell me sorry for the bad experience. I don't care to hear a fake sorry for something that was not addressed properly.

Clean room and great location. A lot to do within walking distance. I really liked how the bed is sectioned off in a separate room from the sitting area. The only negative thing is the beds, as I prefer a more firm mattress. My children complained how they felt springs poking at their backs on the pullout sofabed as well. Overall, I would stay here again.

Pretty hotel.

Pretty hotel.

Too bad the refrigerator was broken.

The USB ports didn't work.

The alarm clock wouldn't play music

We came downtown for a special event and we only had a couple of hours in the hotel to enjoy the amenities and do a little "pre-party" before we went out for the evening. As nice as ALL of the repair people were, I didn't want them there. I couldn't keep my bubbles cold or listen to music. Yes, the hotel fixed all of the issues, but it's not fair to us to have to deal with the aggravation.

I expect this type of shoddy amenities from a Motel 6, not a Michigan Avenue Suite from Hilton.

As a Diamond member, I'm questioning my loyalty.

We stayed here Nov 18-20. I had reserved an executive floor suite but was put on a low floor when we arrived. This is a 3-star hotel at best They apparently have "recently remodeled", They have replaced bathtubs with showers, and there are no fans in the bathrooms (ie you will hear all of that in the room). Further, walls aren't very thick so you will hear neighbors. In that initial room they charged nearly $300 to HH members, charged extra for internet, refused to put us on the floor we reserved, and we had a broken toilet. So, I eventually was able to speak with a manager the next morning. She decided to comp the room from the night before, which we appreciated, and moved us to 29th floor (which is where we were supposed to be). So we stayed and paid for the 2nd night. It may be ok for the budget conscious business traveler who needs this location, but I will not stay there again.

One thing i love about this hotel is the location! You must go at night! The view is amazing! I recommend going to the top floor or window side of the lake! The drinks were great as well. Im a simple drinker but the ratio of liquor to soda was perfect.

Accommodations were clean and well kept up. Beds were small for a double. Pool water was cold and no hot tub a bummer. Location was perfect, the executive lounge well-stocked and a nice perk.

Great location in the heart of Chicago! Close to everything you d want to do in the downtown area. Front desk staff were great except for one person who was a bit rude but overall great service. Housekeeping did a wonderful job as well.

This place is amazing on many levels. It's not my favorite, as I prefer the Hyatt off the river off the Lake. That particular hotel has spectacular views of the city, the river , and the Lake! That being said, the Hilton Chicago/magnificent mile location is absolutely gorgeous and the fact that it is on the magnificent mile makes it an extra special location. It is not exactly like every other hotel, but you literally get what they claim to offer. As the term goes, "as advertised". If you read any of my reviews, you will notice that I don't necessarily just give stars because something is nice or something has a good name. For example, I'm not just going to give a Gucci store a solid review, just because it's a Gucci store and it happens to sell Gucci. They have to actually do what they claim, sell what they claim to sell, and have the appropriate number of Items there. That's just an example.

The point is, I rate things per, and this is just my foundation as there are many more criteria I take into account, basically 3 criteria...

Again this is just my foundation for a review...
1. Is the place a location that represents exactly/or lack thereof, what they claim to offer.
2. After that, my main thing is service. So so far, you have my main 2 criteria, which are they need to offer what they claim. In addition, they need to have phenomenal service. That could fall into my 1st criteria, but it really does separate from it.
3. And it's kind of my final main criteria, as I can give you a list that helps me come up with my final opinions, but the 3rd one is how much further are they willing to go to make your experience even better than you expected. That usually is a combination Of services provided, which can always be better, extra perks that they don't even advertise, yet carry. In this particular location, they definitely come through and what they claim to come through on, and the service is great for what they are offering. The only thing that I would be able to say, as a downside here is the fact that it's not the nicest hotel, as some people might have you think. There are others that are above it by leaps and bounds. Like the Hyatt off the river...

Located in the heart of downtown, we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. The rooms were great and the staff was exceptional. Darnita at the front was a delight! It's nice to see that true customer service still exists. Highly recommend!

Love this hotel. It is in the perfect location right by John Hancock and Water Tower Place. Rooms are excellent. Digital key allowed for early check in. Southern Cut BBQ in the lobby has a few local craft beers on tap - just enough to satisfy.

Great location. We had an upper level room and the view of downtown Chicago at night is very nice. The executive lounge experience is an added bonus. It is always stocked with cold drinks during the day and the coffee machine makes good coffee. The breakfast in the morning at the lounge is good. Not a lot of variety for hot food but the pastries are fresh and they have cut up fruits and yogurts. The pool is a good size. There 2 small fitness rooms and one even smaller room for stretching.

Clean and quite place. Accommodating staff.Spacious rooms.
Relatively quite place as compared to other hotels on north Michigan Ave. On a walking distance to many of the Chicago's attractions like Hancock center, Lake Michigan side walks, and Lincoln zoo. A lot of eateries in the vicinity.

My stay was great! First time to Chicago, so I read some reviews and saw the Magnificent Mile is a good spot to stay. The hotel was nice and clean, and the staff were very polite. Being one block from the John Hancock building was convenient for quick bites to eat.

hotel with huge rooms, but don't expect it to have a lively atmosphere at the lobby as it is almost nonexistent. If you're staying here just go back to sleep and relax, get out there and enjoy the city. The hotel is close to the Rush Street bars and restaurant scene and the Oak Street beach. Don't expect to park downtown for cheap, try using SpotHero for help in locating a good spot around.

Very well done hotel with nice and cozy rooms. Lobby has limited snacks and coffee but there is a convenience store right across the street that has everything. During peak times elevators can be extremely slow.

Service is nice, beds and rooms are warm and spacious. Location is convenient, close to the heart of Chicago. That being said, there are higher quality places to stay in Chicago. But if you're (relatively) on a budget, definitely not a bad choice.

I didn't get what I was expecting from the Hilton. Outlets by the bed did not work. WiFi was not free. Almost no hot water. I've paid $40 and gotten much more out of my experience. Not impressed.

Well for me this was a cool get away spot. But they should let people know about a 200 deposit above the 300 you already have to pay for your room in advance people plan for their trip.

Other than that I was satisfied.

Super room, super service, super people. Super location. Very attentive folks. Natalia at the front desk was a great. Patrick the GM was amazing. Scott, the Banquet Manager and Hilton Honors Lounge manager, as well as Sergio were always making sure things were just right. Nina in customer service went out of her way to make sure the stay was enjoyable. The suite attendants were thoughtful of our time and made sure they we're never there when we were.
A totally great to experience. Thank you Hilton.
