Unfortunately, I had an unhappy experience here. I've stayed at this hotel before, but they have since renovated, according to the woman at the front desk.

The bed in room 317 is literally the most uncomfortable thing I've ever attempted to sleep on. It hurts my whole body bc it's so firm. It feels like 15 kids jumped on the bed for two months straight and then they slapped some sheets on it. They moved me next door at about 5:45 a.m. and that bed was fine.

Firstly, I just want to thank the staff for their friendliness and professionalism! I have never experienced such a wonderful stay! The rooms were absolutely clean and spotless! The desks were polished, which at first I didn't agree with, but it made sense later on. We enjoyed the bed and all the offerings of the room! This was such a wonderful place to stay that I was extremely comfortable during my entire stay! I will definitely be staying back if I ever go back to Chicago!

I've stayed here once before and the hotel was just grand! I overheard there was even a top a Lister staying there. But who knows. I believe it was Serena Williams. The hotel was clean and very comfortable.

This was my first stay at this hotel, and I must say I was not disappointed. The rooms were updated and clean and we had a fabulous view of the lake. We were perfectly positions near all the shopping we could want and some of the best restaurants in town. The executive lounge also serves a really great variety of options for breakfast. I will definitely stay here again.

Recently renovated. The room I had was fantastic. A nice living area, roomy bathroom, and a nice bedroom with comfy linens. Also a small kitchenette with fridge, microwave and small coffee machine with complementary coffee.

Two restaurants situated at ground level, Local witch looked quite lively. Also a Sushi bar restaurant that also looked quite popular.

Would recommend to anyone.

First impressions were good, nice staff, quick check in, but my visit went downhill once I decided to get a drink from the wet bar. I came across something I haven't seen (size wise) since I've been in Texas. To call this thing a simple roach is an understatement and the picture doesn't do it complete justice. You could strap a saddle to this thing and ride it if you wanted to. This thing was so large that it couldn't seem to fit back down the drain I assume it emerged from. After panicking that I'd lose track of it, I covered it with a water glass, filled the sink with water, put the ice bucket on top of it, snapped a few pictures and headed for the front desk.

The woman at the front desk just about made the same "eww" face I did when I showed her the pictures. She quickly got us a new room 16 floors up and sent us on our way. Upon inspecting the new room, we found no pony-sized roaches, but encountered the distinct smells of vomit and pot. This, in addition to the super sticky carpet, was sadly acceptable when compared to what happened in the prior room. We quickly knocked out for the night with the intention of getting the heck out of there first thing in the morning.

Morning came, we checked out, and without confirmation by the staff on the rooms total charges, we were sent on our way, transaction complete. Reviewing my bank statement the next day, I noticed an additional $62 charge from the Hilton for Vallet parking... Which I didn't use as I didn't bring a car. It took me 3 separate phone calls and nearly a week and a half to finally get a refund. The delay was cause because the Hilton staff decided I was lying when I told them I didn't use the Vallet service and insisted on confirming it with the Vallet provider before they'd agree to issue my refund.

Will not be returning to this establishment by my own free will.

Giant cockroach was running around our room when we checked in and the hotel did nothing about it. Disappointing. We stay here twice a year because of the location but now reconsidering because what kind of establishment barely even acknowledges that a 2 inch giant cockroach is not ok

My review is not based on the hotel itself because we never got to stay. My review is based on their customer service and their processes. We booked online a couple months earlier. Drove 6 hours, called to confirm we would be there in an hour, only to be told they have no reservations for us on file. The booking agent has all the confirmations, we have all the confirmations, yet they have nothing. They continue to deny it, even after we got on Expedia AGAIN and booked it AGAIN. Desk clerk says thats the manager fault and should have removed it. Offered no help. We wash our hands with it and look elsewhere. Only place we could stay cost us TRIPLE the amount. Home on Monday and calling to get everything corrected since we had ALREADY paid, Hilton lets us know that they have us on record as checked in for one night! HAHAHA......Horrific customer service and replies to anything and everything. Now we are currently trying to figure out how they could have that on record seeing that we never showed up and the hotel, showed ID's, etc......You know, ALL the things required to confirm your stay. So now, we get to spend the day running to the bank and getting things needed to prove this isnt ture. Only reason I am adding this review is because it cost us triple the amount to stay and staying in Chicago isnt cheap.....at all. So their mistake costs us a fortune and they move on unscathed.

Fantastic rooms, they are decorated well-modern and good color palette. The sitting room area has lots of lights and a comfy couch and chair, beds are soft with lots of pillows, and there are lots of plugins everywhere! Everything also seems super clean.

The location is nice and that is the best part about this hotel. The rooms are basic at best, outdated and not as clean as they should be. We wanted to use self parking to park our suv but the valet insisted that are vehicle was too big and would have no choice but to use the valet over night parking. After going back and forth about the situation I demanded my keys back so that I could see for myself. Turns out we did fit with room to spare. I feel as though they were just trying the get more money out of us. So after all of this has happened, I'm sitting in the chair in my room and I see a bug crawling on the wall. I look closer and it's a freaking bed bug. I called the front desk, woke my family up and we moved to another room at 4:00 in the morning. I am highly disappointed and dissatisfied, at this point all I wanted to do was go home.

Worst experience ever.

Worst experience ever.
I ve been all over the world in hotels from 1* to 5* and this was the worst .
Do yourself a favor and go to any other place except this Hilton hotel .
They will over charge you, anything that you intend to use they will charge : soap ,robe, water, coffee , everything in that filthy room will be charged except the nasty air that you breathe will be charged , after giving you a price then hidden fees will swamp you ,door man behaved like a POS talking down to us , he hid one of our luggage s ,room reeks like urine and feces ,more like a jail then a reputable hotel . Shame on you Hilton , and this is only the tip of the iceberg . Tomorrow I will call in and take it up to the top also make sure this goes viral .
PS. Hilton , save your time and don t reply to this with your professional excuses , ppl will only know when /if they go stay there .

Good value for short stay. Fri Sat night great location walking distance to restaurants and if weather good 15 min walk to Navy Pier. John Hancock tourist observatory across the street, quite pricey weused Groupon for $18 person entry still $70 for 5 of us. We parked valet with Hilton honours option but it cost $30 day instead of $60. We didn't know about honours discount valet until last minute and reservationist on phone didn't explain honours parking deal is in place of free breakfast; at desk in morning they resolved by granting us breakfast but it was after a bit of waiting. So far as rooms we were in new renovation area 4th floor room 2 double beds with sofa couch problems due to construction we didn't realize door lock not locking behind us until later returning, the bathroom hardware not loose enough to use afraid to break it, TV barely worked I am sure all due to new floor remodeling. View was great! Room size good. Coffee tea in room good setup. After lock issue we received courtesy room upgreade great size sofa area more divided which was good for us, bathroom leaky faucet but good size. Pool and fitness excellent view on treadmill open til 10p. Free breakfast room nice and comfortable cappuccino, espresso fabulous! Fresh fruit was fresh, mainly eggs, cereal, bagel, yogurt, juices no meats it was good for us. Computer in room a bit slow, we were able to print Groupon in Libby computers without issues. Valet worked reasonably about 15 min wait to get car. We left car in lot. We thought staff friendly. We all voted two 3's, two 4's. We'd go again if good rate again.

Incredibly amazing. Great location in ChiTown, walking distance to pretty much everything. The staff were polite, patient and kind and the Southern Cut BBQ restaurant was delicious. Close to Lake Michigan. It was a great experience overall and I'd definitely stay again.

Rooms are nice, renovated and very spacious. The lobby and elevators are old, but don t let that scare you when you walk in. Also, you may want to bring your own blow dryer. The in room has one speed and will take quite a bit to blow dry your hair!

Beautiful hotel, if slightly confusing about where the front door is. They offered the option of using cash for the $100 incidentals deposit, which was a huge help given some particulars of my situation

Excellent service, from the doormen, all smiling (except one with seriousness and Russian bearing), the reception, the chambermaids ... Everything was great. Only one day they had not made the room before 1:00 p.m., and it is understandable because there were many arrivals, since the next day there was like a congress or similar.
If you find a better price, you have to fight a bit to prove that it is and that it meets the conditions, but they respect the Best Price Guaranteed and give you a discount if appropriate. Also, in my case, they gave me a free upgrade to lake views and access to the executive floor, which means having breakfast before going out to discover Chicago.
Breakfast is simple, with little variety, but correct if it is considered free, but I would not have paid for it.
The rooms, being suites, are spacious and tastefully furnished, although there are details that show the passing of the years. In the living room you have a fridge, microwave and coffee maker. And the bathroom is very spacious and has two doors to access from the living room or from the bedroom.
I also recommend the hotel's barbecue restaurant, good price and better quality.
Without hesitation, I would choose this hotel to return to Chicago.

My family and I stayed at the Hilton this past Saturday, February 24th, 2018 and we were not impressed!

City View: We paid to have a room with a city view and what we got was the furthest thing from special. Our room was on the 25th floor and the windows were on the North side of the room looking onto what we thought was nothing special. Later we went up to the pool area and the views from the pool and exercise area were beautiful!! Those were the views that we expected from our room, it was VERY disappointing that we did not get that nice view from our room and could only enjoy it temporary from the exercise and pool area.

Pool Temp: Cold, not so cold that my son couldn't enjoy, but not warm enough. He had to work his way into the pool going in deeper only a few inches at a time.

Room: Our coffee machine/outlet was acting up. I tried to make a cup of coffee and the machine would turn off mid brew. I called the front desk and they sent someone up within 10 minutes to check it out. Although how fast they came to fix it was impressive, it was still annoying to have to have someone come into our room at 9AM. They couldn't fix the machine and brought us coffee, which was good.

Over all, the room and common areas were clean and well maintained. My family and I will not be returning to this Hilton location, next time we will look for a hotel with a city view that's worth paying for.

Super nice room and staff is super duper helpful.

Super nice room and staff is super duper helpful.

Lobby attends helped us find parking, the workings of the elevator (you have to hold your key for A HOT SECOND to the reader before selecting a floor), as well as had applicable knowledge of the bar attached, theatre and restaurants close by, etc.

The bar's last call is at 11:30pm, which kinda sucks. BUT, my bartender suggested another place just across the street that was open until 2am, which was PERFECT. Made some great friends there, including the bartender who recommended it! Great to see a promised friendly face!

BUT, and this is just for at least the room we stayed in, you have to make sure your room is DEFINITELY CLOSED. would be 5 stars if we didn't have to literally pull and pull and pull and PULL(/push/PUSH) the door to actually close it until it wasn't easily just pushed opened without a key/card. SERIOUS RISK FOR YOUR STUFF!!

But seriously, all issues were maintenance and coorprate complaints ONLY. All staff that we spoke to were super TOP NOTCH. <3

Unfriendly staff, sub-par accommodations. Would have had a WAY nicer experience staying at a cheap Holiday Inn or Best Western.

I've worked in a few different hotels for many years now, all of which were considered 5 star luxury resorts. Never in my life have I met an upper level manager who approaches guests in such an unfriendly, rude manner. The lady who is somehow the Director of Rooms in this hotel should be fired. I don't know how Hilton Hotels could possibly allow someone with this type of attitude move up to such a high position within their company...
