We had to make an essential trip to the Cambridge area. The changing COVID protocols cut it short and created uncertainty throughout. The staff were very accommodating, professional, and courteous. I feel badly that they did not have a chance to shine under normal circumstances but they certainly rose to the occasion under difficult ones.

The room was fine and it had a really nice TV. We payed extra for breakfast included and they didn't even have it. Instead they gave us cold breakfast in a bag ,yum. We wanted to sleep in but were woken at 9:30 am to a knock from housekeeping. Really 9:30? Checkout is at 11 am. Needless to say I won't be back.

The room was large and clean. The staff was friendly and tried to be helpful. I was not impressed that they couldn t help us with directions to places nearby. No map of the area. I was not impressed that our room did not contain an extra blanket and we had to ask for one. Found out at checkout that the blanket cost $5.96 a night. The service in the lounge was very slow and it was not possible to buy just a little something- everything was super size and of course very costly.

We stayed at this hotel while we were at a hockey tournament. The ice machine didn't work. A small fire on the 3rd floor caused by another ice machine forced an evacuation for hours. The room keys weren't programmed correctly the first time and apparently if you keep the cards close to your cell phone they demagnetize. The elevator didn't work for over three hours; try hauling hockey equipment up and down four flights of stairs. No late checkout available.

Two nights $500.

Thanks

Stayed for a wedding. Staff were able to accommodate my early check in and were amazing with making sure I felt taken care of. Hotel was crowded due to a large hockey tournament but hotel staff manager well.

The hotel was overbooked the weekend of my stay (labour day weekend), which involved a 30 room block booked way back in February for the guests of my wedding on September 2. When I (the groom) showed up with my groomsman to our suite Friday night we were told there were no rooms available for us, even though all rooms were booked almost 7 months in advance. Trying to resolve the issue was even worse, multiple staff members including management refused to explain how our room was given to someone else and were extremely dissmissive of the severity of the problem. A regular room was eventually found, but since there were 6 of us, my parents had to give up their suite in order for us to be in a room with enough space to sleep and prepare for the wedding the next day. Both rooms were comped for the 2 nights, but this did not solve the overbooking problem. We received complaints from many more of our guests who were told at check in that they did not have a room. In each of these cases an available room was somehow found, but this level of service is completely unacceptable. There is no excuse for not holding a room for a reservation made seven months in advance, especially when it was the grooms own room the night before the wedding. This was very poor display of hospitality and I would never recommend anyone stay at this hotel.

The hotel was clean and the staff were pleasant. However, one of the man reasons we chose to stay at they property was for the pool. Upon arrival, we discovered that the pool was closed and under repair.

Absolutely disgusted with this hotel! Booked on Priceline and got a steep discount...I was a bit concerned because in the past when I have got a discounted rate, I was treated differently by the hotel (worst room etc.). We arrived in the evening and were promptly turned away because we didn't have a credit card...even though I offered to pay a $500 deposit on top of what I paid for the room, and booked with a visa debit which they said would not suffice either. Now I understand that this is a policy at most hotels, however I travel a lot for work and rent dozens of hotels during the year and this has never been an issue. I have stayed at much nicer hotels than this who have been more than accommodating when it came to the deposit. In fact a better hotel right beside this one was willing to take a deposit in lieu of a credit card, no problem. The boy at the front desk seemed all too happy to be completely unhelpful, and said that my refund was not the hotels responsibility. So who knows when/if I will ever receive it. I honestly feel like this has a lot to do with the discounted rate I received through Priceline...you get treated as second class when you book through these websites. Travelers beware! We eneded up at a different hotel 15 minutes away....and again, no problem taking a deposit. It was late, I live 3 hours away and the Hilton didn't care at all about what I was supposed to do from there. Will never stay at another Hilton! Completely unreasonable!

Good place, friendly staff, under Reno when we were there, place looks used so maybe reno will help, 1 of the elevators broke down and not fixed during our stay, our room was a good size, beds where not the most comfortable. Hard time with the Wi-Fi I was expecting a bit more since we were a large enough group.

Everything was top notch. No complaints about any of the services, the location was perfect in respect to where I had to be at the time, and there was absolutely nothing to say bad about the rooms. All in all, the staff, the well kept rooms, and the perfect location, made a quite pleasant stay for me and the girlfriend.

This hotel is always clean. Inexpensive. The rooms are nice. The pool is generally open and usable. The hot tub is regularly out of order. Breakfast is $13 small buffet. Coffee is okay. Location isn't great.

We stay at the hotel about 2-3 times a year. We like shopping in Cambridge/Kitchener/st Jacobs. The last few times we stayed here, the hotel was over run with teenagers. The line up to the breakfast buffet was so long. By the time we had gotten our food, our table was taken! We had to wait for a table with all our food in our hands. Doing this with kids is ridiculous. But for $13 meal and $90 A night, I can't complain too loud.

The Hilton Garden Inn Kitchener/Cambridge is situate at the peak of this area atop marble sediment. The tap water has a luxurious softness as it has trace particulates of marble throughout its composition. It is excellent potable water in and of itself, for coffee, tea, lemonade, iced tea or whatever else one may wish.

From the beginning of my seven (7) days and six (6) nights, my stay was exceptional. The Front Desk staff members especially a young gentleman named Treyson and another amiable young lady named Jaina were exceedingly professional, thoughtful and helpful.

My exceedingly large room had a wonderful treed view together with that of Hilton Garden Inn's exquisite architecture. Much time was spent gazing out my large window.

As the days were sweltering hot and humid, the in-room air-conditioner was efficient. It could easily be set to cycle to one's comfort level. The room was always cool, comfortable and its sound akin to a whisper. The thermostat could easily be set for an unexpected cooler than anticipated evening and overnight hours. It's a great unit.

My desired room's location was secluded making it quiet and restful. The room was more comparable to a suite than a room due to its huge size.

The king-bedded room did have an adjustable, comfortable mattress with crisp white bedding including duvet, additional soft, light green blanket and large assortment of various types of embroidered pillows to suit one's desires. In the middle was a large unoccupied, open area.

An elegant, blue sofabed, black-out drapes, large desk with a tall adjustable barrister's lamp, sturdy ergonomic chair, elegant lighting fixtures, meaningful, decorative framed prints on the walls, a bar fridge, coffee machine with ample, assorted supplies and a great deal of various storage rounded out this fantastic space.

The bathroom had both a bathtub, adjustable shower head, upscale shower curtains, huge lit wall-to-wall sparkling mirror and top of the line "Neutrogena" toiletries including boxed french milled bath soaps, shampoos, conditioners and body lotions. Furnished upon request were toothbrushes, toothpaste, razors and shaving cream.

There was an abundance of fluffy bath sheets, hand towels, face clothes and bath mats. Sensible instructions were left as to room service. These help everyone to conserve time, energy and labour by requesting towels and bedding changes as one does wish. After all, it is unnecessary to be wasteful whilst away from home.

The restaurant was not open as usual due to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). A tuck shop adjacent to the Front Desk had a large variety of supplies inclusive of various foods, snacks and refrgerated beverages. The well-appointed lobby area was pure Canadiana.

The price for my stay was far less than anticipated.

There are so many other positive factors, reasons and amenities to write highly of my sojourn, however, this is my glowing, general overview.

My wish is to be able to afford such luxuries in my own home. These accommodations are above and beyond what had been anticipated. For this my gratitude is heartfelt.

This Hilton Garden Inn in Kitchener/Cambridge is highly recommended.

Friendly, accommodating staff. Convenient location close to shopping center and attractions. Clean rooms and good amenities, though the pool was closed. Good continental breakfast options.

From Cassie, Tyson and Amandeep to Janeane and Marcus. Even though they were under construction when we went and had to go through the side door, they were super helpful and very accommodating. Will definitely be back.
Pool was clean and nice, room was super clean and very comfortable. Lots of free parking. Chamber of commerce is right across the street from the hotel so great place to find fun stuff to do around town.

I'd give it more stars if I could, loved it.

Besides the fact that checking in ended up a nightmare it was good.. They never checked my ID and ended up putting me in someone else's room and charged me $400 plus for a stay thinking I was someone else! So my wifi didn't work cause the last name wasn't recognized for that hotel room number that's when they realized what they did wrong and refunded it all but seriously for a high end hotel how do you make those mistakes and how do you not confirm with the guest ok I will be charging your card x amount and then I could interrupt and say must be wrong I'm staying one night not three nights! All I get was a we are very sorry for the inconvenience.

I was visiting friends who had a room. The room itself was nice, appeared clean, and was fairly large. The overall appearance of the hotel wasn't overall stellar nor was it terrible; it was just okay. The staff were friendly and polite.
