Fantastic location and friendly staff. We stayed for a concert at capitol one arena and it was perfect.
It might be a great hotel any other time, but right now there is a huge building sight in its front entrance/courtyard. 1) some kind of equipment with huge fan runs 24/7 in the yard that makes nasty low frequency noise. 2) We had a room with windows towards it and today (Martin Luther King, Jr. Day) work has started at 7am and was so noisy that it was painful to stay in the room, do not even think about sleeping. So, either bet on getting the room looking towards the street, or book any other place until the building is finished.
Nice boutique hotel in DC. Well situated for the convention center.
Guest relations are outta sync, too many foreigners not understanding American courtesy
Great friendly staff. Love the cricket fanatic door men
I stayed at this hotel for the last week of July for a conference and I really enjoyed it. The only issue I had was during check-in where the staff person wasn't able to find the company card number on my file at first. I almost had to pay for it with my personal card. It was resolved quickly and my stay was problem free form then on. The room was clean, well furnished with a fridge and safe, but no coffee maker. The french toast at the restaurant was great! Front door staff were warm and helpful.
A beautiful hotel. Enjoyed my stayand had an amazing room above the entrance
Fancy room that was super clean and super friendly service.
Great hotel with great service. When we come back to Washington DC, definitely would stay here again!!
Great location to see Washington DC, walking distance to a lot of bars restaurants. Only 20 minutes to get to the white house.
It s a clean place. Didn t like much. Had very little conveniences. Just one bathrobe for two people etc.
Very clean and homey, but room service is too expensive
A comfortable stay at a reasonably convenient location.
wonderful rooms... accommodating staff... lots of history. very nice place to stay.
Got a room on 3rd floor, very nice and very clean. Perfect location for Otakon a block away.
The restaurant is hidden. Make sure to ask the hotel check-in desk for directions.
Outside is kind of plain but when you step into the lobby you forget about the outside. Front desk was helpful. Doormen were cool.
I was expecting much for 120 total for a night but I was blown away. The room was very nice and bathroom was incredible. The AC was cold and I slept like I was dead.
This is the fifth different hotel I've stayed at in DC and this will be the first I've been impressed enough with to stay again at half the price of name brand chain hotels.
Outstanding boutique hotel. Lovely ambiance, good price and great service. Great alternative in the DC!
On the phone the desk staff seemed disorganized and undetermined. But once u got there stay was perfect. My room was great and beautiful. The doormen where very helpful and kind. They helped me hail taxis and figure out where I was going.
Good ambience, homely environment and great reception desk
Beautiful, cozy, quite clean and quiet rooms, Comfortable options of pillows. The restaurant menu, has not so much options but Doris and Sammy will adapt your dish to your requirements. Very good attention of William in the front desk. Good time for check out at 12 pm and option to store your luggage
Walking distance to the White House half the price of the marriot and others in the area this hotel was an amazing. This was my first DC trip I know where to stay now!!
Had lunch with friends here. Drinks were very strong. Food was great.
I consider myself something of a history buff. That house over there, well, it was built in the late 50s, the above ground pool installed in the 80s, the storm drains have often clogged but, in a way, you wouldn't have it any other way. To sit in the dining room and eat eggs at this inn, it's not just a pleasure but a contextualization. My eggs are warm, but they will soon be cold if I do t eat them. And so it's been for millennia.
Stayed here 4 nights. Staff was amazing, Room was very comfortable. They were renovating and doing major construction and you would have never known from our room.
Great location and great history in the building.
If you are into history there is hardly any better place to stay in downtown. Great service as well! Super front desk staff and all I met we're just amazing.
Reservations at 1:30 still not seated at 2:30. They have ruined the day thanks.
Lovely staff, beautiful hotel, great location, the area doesn't shut down after the work crowd leaves.
Brunch was generously portioned and all three courses were prepared well.
Top Service, friendly employees.
Room was clean, elegant and inviting. Bed was very comfortable other seating was not.
The building has been recently renovated and it's quite enjoyable. A little road noise from my room but not that bad. Didn't smell any mold and my allergies behaved. Slept very comfortably.
Very historical, clean great ambiance excellent staff.... A worth living place
This place is clean and eclectic. Bed is a cloud. Excellent place with super friendly staff
We always have a good experience. There's great service and the Victorian rooms in the old house side of the hotel are fun and funky. Enjoy brunch at the restaurant after you check out if it's the weekend - it's worth it!
Pretty disappointed with the front desk. I had asked for recommendations for places to eat and nightlife and their answer was ummm I m not sure, I don t really go out . I also asked which is less expensive, using the valet at the hotel or finding a parking garage and their answer was ummm I don t know, I think the garage is a little less expensive . They didn t know anything, I had to go to the Marriott Marquis to get information. Besides that, the hotel is nice.
Super nice staff. Good and clean place. Very economical and good location. Highly recommended
Surprisingly good stay. Loved the room. 2 TV's as it had a small living room/office space and the bedroom was separate. Free bottled water which is huge for me. There was nobody at the check in desk upon my arrival so I was a tad confused (wait was maybe only 1 minute though) and I found navigating within the hotel a bit odd due to layout but I'd return.
Super comfortable, clean. It rests very well. The buttons are super friendly. The staff at the reception seemed very serious.
lobby remodeled but an older darker hotel. usually reasonable prices in great location. valet parking only.
Here for a week. Very happy with the location and the setup.
Well renovated hotel - interesting architecture in room suites - good in restaurant good but not great
Awesome hotel from my touristy stay in Washington DC
