A beautiful building with comfortable rooms. The lobby restaurant and bar are also very affordable and enjoyable.

Friendly staff, beautiful property, clean rooms and delicious room service.
Great traditional hotel in a fantastic location in central DC. Quite an old hotel for the area but very well-kept inside and outside and the rooms are in keeping with the style. Staff were very friendly and attentive. The lobby also has a great cocktail bar - I d recommend the spicy margarita which was also fantastic. Free Wi-fi.
Was impressed with the entire set up. Food was great and so was our room! I could go on and on about how great it is. However, as i was checking out...there was a $45.00 charge for parking for one day. I didn't see it anywhere on the website and no one told me about it as I was checking in. I was shocked. Still leaves a bad taste in my mouth
Great Boutique Hotel near Chinatown and the Convention Center. Highly recommend this place. My go to spot in D.C. from now on.
The room was in great shape, bathroom, furniture, bed, all were clean and high quality. AC was nice and cold (important for D.C. Summers). The staff was terrific and always helpful and nice. The bar and restaurant seem like they're there just so they can be listed as amenities. Went to both once, wasn't impressed, went out the rest of my stay. The floor layout is confusing, they really need better way finding, even if it's just a few signs at the elevators. But honestly, it just meant that I saw more of the hotel than I normally would have.
Good location, clean hotel with nice and spacious rooms. Recommended
Luxurious hotel. Washing center center. Reasonable price
Very nice hotel. Very upscale and comfortable. Had no issues with check in or out. Everything was smooth and pleasant. Not so far from the center of things either.
Very good service and clean room with good comfort I give 4 stars why the area does not have public parking and when you park at the hotel they charge you 50 dollars a day so you have no choice but to pay the nights you will be more 50 per day.
I like this historical hotel because one it's in a convenient location and two has a lot of signs of history! If you have time to DC don't hesitate to visit this unique hotel.
Dinner was nice but we weren't blown away by the entrees and given the price is quite high, even for a nice DC restaurant, that was dissapoiting. The steak was under cooked and the fish was just ok. The ambiance was also lacking although the decor was very nice.
One gripe.. libby coffee service ends at 7am.. even on sat and sun am!!
Our family had a catered meal for our annual reunion. The beauty of the venue was only surpassed by the flavor of our meal . Highly recommended.
The service was wonderful and the location is perfect for those who don't mind a light walk. Everything you need is only a few blocks away. The Mall is only a 20 minute walk away.
Also there is an amazing authenic Salvadorian restaurant only 2 blocks away.
Very nice hotel. Will definitely stay there again.
The restaurant staff were beyond fantastic. I believe our servers were Sunji and Mary. The food was excellent.
This place has improved a lot. Renovated rooms, and lobby area.
The only thing missing was coffee and tea in the room. The restaurant was wonderful.
Great hotel. Clean and comfortable. Loved the upscale decor.
Rude managerial staff, front desk staff are very nice!
Great service, impeccable superior room, excellent location. To go back.
Excellent hotel near the convention center and within walking distance of many DC tourist attractions. Excellent, friendly, and extremely helpful staff, especially Sajin!!
Great location; very close to the convention center. However, the rooms are overpriced for what you actually get. They provide no microwaves to guests, parking is terribly limited, and the rooms are small. Our room had mold around the vent. The bathrooms are modern and very nice. Our room had a balcony that was large enough to entertain friends, but there were cockroaches. Won't be staying here again.
Nice location and great staff. My room was a little small but the food is excellent!!! Food totally made my visit.
New remodel is stunning. New menu is quite impressive, as is the actual food.
When we checked in we got upgraded to a bigger room with a balcony. Yes! Beautiful views. Park across the street. Bed was extremely comfortable and clean. Slept a good 10 hours. :-) It s an old hotel so it has some quirks that I personally love. The walls were a little thin. We loved it though!
Booked a deal on Expedia. Staff was friendly, they gave us a upgraded room which was pretty nice. According to what I paid to what I recieved was awesome. The room was very clean, the rest of the hotel is pretty nice. We were out most of the time so i cant comment the rest of the amineties they offer. We wanted to sit on their patio but it never actually happened. The location is great, like 10-15 walk to most of the monuments but otherwise pretty Central to everything we wanted to check out and generally easy to get to.
Great place with odd finishes that somehow come together
I can't say enough good things about this beautiful and historic hotel. Room-beautiful, bed-comfy, staff-professional and friendly, restaurant-delicious, location-close to all the museums. I will choose this hotel every time I have to be in DC.
Best customer care ever! Love this place and reasonable too.
Had a romantic dinner at the restaurant. Great food and a great value.
The check-in was smooth and the people at the front desk were really lovely! They had a wonderful patio and the room was super clean and neat! 5/5.
Too bad they have both businesses under a single title...
The hotel was really well managed. The rooms were quiet, clean, and roomy. I found the staff to be attentive and gracious. But the restaurant. . .
We had a waitress who was indifferent at best. There was sand in the salad, which I understand can happen - but as the server never came back there was no way to send it back. Our water was never refilled.
The table was nicely set with bread and butter plates but no bread was forth coming. We asked for the bread and eventually it arrived - with the meal.
The food quality was certainly not up to the lovely design of the room or the standards of the well run hotel.
The hotel alone deserves a 5 star rating and the restaurant a 3 - hence the 4 star gift to the restaurant.
Super clean and inviting...plenty of street parking around the entrance....only issue is no microwaves in the room or in the entire hotel...so if you want to have a warm meal or anything warm in your room it won t happen...that s so strange to me...
We had a parlor suite in the historic section, which has been fully modernized and was very comfortable--except for the notable absence of any coffee or tea-making ability in the room. (Seriously?) The staff are exceedingly pleasant and accommodating. Overall, it was a very nice stay.
Clean, nice and attentive staff, well preserved historic house.
Nice historic hotel in a convenient area to convention center and other restaurants,,,,,room was comfortable but small ,,,,a lot of road noise ,,,,front door staff and front desk staff were great ,,,thank you!
Great location and staffed with friendly, helpful people. I'd definitely come back
Excellent service. Clean and comfortable room. But the location is 10mins walk to the subway station.
Really nice hotel within walking distance of the Walter e convention center. Great place for a relaxing stay
The superior queen room is quaint and cozy. The staff is friendly and very helpful. Valet parking is expensive and the only option if you come with a car, but that might be to be expected in DC.
As an organizer for large company hotel bookings the staff was always availalbe for questions and service. Everyone in our group loved the rooms at the hotel. The service was excellent. The special touches from water bottles in the rooms to the loan of umbrellas for the day helped make our group not only feel welcome but comfortable.
The dining room was near empty. Wait staff was polite but did not seem well informed. Made repeated requests but were ignored. The food was very good. The small plates are quite large. The duck confit was excellent. The main course Meat load and short ribs were both large portions and very tasty. Too full for dessert. Overall food made this place a place to return but need better instruction on wait staff.
The food was absolutely delicious. The service was very good as well.
I booked a 5 night stay for a work conference at this hotel and ended up leaving after 3 nights due to a bed bug sighting. I was not bitten, nor did I find any bed bugs on the bed. I saw one live adult bug walking across the floor, which I caught in a ziplock bag to hand over to the hotel. From the moment I reported the incident to the hotel, I was struck by how unapologetic they were. I was simply told I could be moved to another room later in the day. I had to speak to a manager about being let out of my reservation without a penalty fee, which they seemed to think was a favor. Additionally, I was told by another manager I could have my personal items treated by their contracted pest company, but they could not tell me when that would happen. They refused to reimburse me for an outside exterminator. At one point, the manager suggested I had brought the bugs into the hotel. I stated to the manager that I had hired an exterminator who would arrive from 1-3 pm. Hours later, upon his arrival, he was denied entry because of a policy that was not communicated to me earlier when I clearly stated he was coming. I was also told repeatedly that I would be reimbursed for any medical costs related to bites (which I didn't have), which makes me think this has been a problem in the past. In fact, the exterminator stated that he had been called to the same hotel before. This was a disastrously negative experience and I regret booking this hotel.
We stayed here for NYE and fell in love with the wonderful decor and hotel staff! It was our first visit to D.C. and I'm so glad we stayed here. Highly recommend it to anyone visiting!
Exquisite restaurant, great service and very good food. The prices are salty. But I liked it a lot. The toasted bread was freshly made and the Caprese Salad excellent. The main courses are good.
Delightful stay at the Morrison-Clark Inn. The lobby is stylish and welcoming. The staff, especially the bellhops we're very friendly and helpful. Our room was a junior suite, spacious but also historic feeling. The bed was very comfortable! Definitely recommend and will return!
Great, quaint place to stay. The staff is always there to assist.
This is a wonderful, small, elegant restaurant. Perfect for a quiet lunch or a business celebratory gathering. If you haven t eaten here, you don t know what you have been missing. The staff also is professional and attentive. Enjoy!
Very nice hotel. The only problem is the housekeeping staff opening your door even without knocking on your door. Embarassing. It occurred twice during my 3 nights stay.
Didn't personally book a room, but visited a friend who booked the suite with a balcony. Absolutely stunning! Very clean and contemporary. Would recommend!
$160 holding fee. What is it for? It's for the mini bar. Let that sync in for a moment. Why on this or any earth is it that much?? Never again.
Everything was really nice, my only problem was the advertisement for valey being complimentary, but it was $40 added to the bill. Which isn't a problem, just unexpected.
Great atmosphere. Delicious food. Great hospitality.
I ate at the Morrison-Clark Inn restaurant. The hotel itself (at least the lobby and parts I saw) is lovely. Aweomse historic building. When I was there for lunch it was pretty quiet. The food was good and pretty well priced. I had the shrimp and grits and the shrimp was excllent. The grits were not true southern style and they were honey infused. Kind of a weird flavor for grits. But, that sat with me really well after so they are probably very high quality. Great place for a quiet business lunch during the week.
Jesus the bartender was amazing. Location is great. Rooms are awesome
We loved our stay at the Morrison Clark Inn. This property is in a great location that puts you near museums and other points of interest in the D.C. Downtown area. The room was comfortable, clean and quiet. We also enjoyed our breakfast at the restaurant. The front desk, employees and wait staff were all very nice and attentive. We can't wait to return for our next stay.
Very nice and clean hotel. Large bathroom, large bathroom with shower. Towels are changed daily, there is air conditioning, safe, refrigerator. In 3 minutes walk there is a shop that is open until 10 pm. 15 minutes to the White House
Friendly staff, amazing rooms, close to downtown, great price.
Nice hotel close to the convention center no breakfast oh well
Nice rooms. No iron and ironing board. Closets are very small. Web site said refrigerator and mini bar. Only had mini bar.
Beautiful rooms - very classy. So close to the city and downtown area. Staff were very helpful and kind! 10/10 would recommend.
This was my first trip to D.C. to get away for the weekend. Morrison-Clark is perfectly located so that you are able to visit all of the local attractions. Hotel staff was amazing. Rooms were beautiful, and restaurant inside the hotel had great food and service. Will definitely be back.
Elegant interiors, Gorgeous rooms, impeccable staff.
Quiet, comfortable bed and friendly professional staff
Went for Easter brunch. Delicious food and endless champagne is a win win
The hotel is elegant, large well appointed rooms. The staff are courtesy and attentive. The only thing I did not like was the restaurant, the wait staff were extremely slow and unknowing. I only went once near closing so my experience might have been a one off. Again the hotel was great, except the need a place for smokers to put their cigarette butts so we don't have to litter while smoking out front.
Alrighty this is a complicated review because the restaurant was FANTASTIC and the room was gorgeous, however, I encountered several problems with the front desk staff who ended up charging the fee to my card despite it already being prepaid by my company. The man who I spoke with as I checked out was very rude and dismissive despite my multiple pleas to try to get the manager (who had told me he had resolved the issue a few days prior) on the phone to try to work through this.
Fantastic food and service. Fortunately for us, they could accommodate us without a reservation.
The hotel was very clean, staff was very welcoming and accommodating, the food from the hotel restaurant was good, the valet parking was about the same cost as leaving your car in one of the other parking lots over the weekend, and I thought the overall price was great. The area we were in was perfect for walking around sightseeing and dining. Yes, I would stay there again.
Excellent hotel, perfect rooms! Excellent hotel, perfect rooms!
Great location, good people and clean room. Everything you need for a weekend getaway.
Great historic hotel. Upscale boutique feel, with friendly staff, clean rooms, and comfortable beds
Stayed here and was taking a shower with my girlfriend. We got out of shower, found someone from the hotel had gone through our belongings. Was up here for a job interview. We called metro police to have an escort from this place to a recommended hotel. I would advise extreme caution against staying here. Sketchy hotel lack of privacy. Borderline criminal behavior.
I have absolutely loved our stay at the Morrison-Clark. The hotel is a split between a historic building and a new building, but the combination works well. The staff was absolutely wonderful as well. I'd highly recommend it to others looking for a nice place on a reasonable budget.
