Located within walking distance of the White House, the Hamilton Hotel provides a great room that is expected when staying at a hotel. The only problem is that there is no onsite parking available, you have to drive around the block to an underground parking garage where parking is $27 overnight. Plus when you try to enter the elevator room you have to get buzzed in, which means waiting for security to notice you buzzing and buzz you in. It's inconvenient but not to take too much away from the hotel itself, the 4 stars is for the parking situation but everything else is great.

Nice looking place for the most part. Lobby still under construction for half a year now. Lots of people waited a long time to check in when we were there due to an issue with housekeeping that day. People were waiting upwards of an hour for their room to be ready.

A fantastic hotel experience, Hamilton exceeded my expectations in providing quality service. Walking distance from anything a tourist could want to visit, the hotel is in the middle of DC tourist areas.

The people who work there are very nice, and the Room Service does a very good job. Although a pool or complimentary breakfast is usually offered additionally, what is offered (namely 14K) is great.

Quite hotel. Location is very well, anywhere convenient to leave. A little hard and high bed, may have also hard to sleep people. Bathtub is not calm down so much so shallow. Since breakfast is subtle, to recommend that you come out to eat.

The hotel is beautiful and only a block from the Metro. Wifi included was helpful. Good service. My only comments for improvement were the elevators were slow and/or not all running. And, they were replacing the TVs and chose to enter my room to do this before I checked out... I think that's weird.

Great hotel if you like to just be left alone. It is not a service oriented hotel. The rooms are fabulous and elegant, and it is close to absolutely everything. The only reason I don't give it five stars is because the staff generally seem indifferent to you, which is very unusual for a four-star.

Was my first stay. Actually, a nice hotel, good breakfast, friendly staff, cute bar and in a very good location. Public transport is within 3 minutes, White House in about 8 minutes walking distance.
Unfortunately, I couldn't get more than just warm water for a shower, all over my stay over 5 nights.

Besides, a good hotel for a stay in DC.

Great location, easy starting point to get around the city, very close to the White House. The room was clean and quiet. Our third floor room only had a view of a neighboring building, but this didn't bother us as we spent all day out exploring. Wonderful service, always polite doormen available to call you a cab. Would definitely recommend!

The location was very close to my work destination and conveniently near restaurants and bars. Rooms are modest, but nice. Service is excellent. The elevators are small, but they go up and down. Which beats taking stairs.

So sad. This once fine hotel has disappointed at every turn this year. Poor room choice at first, a wet spot on the carpet (ew!), no bottled water in the room, shoes shined - but those delivered weren't mine, missing items from the mini-bar, and the restaurant and bar were closed for renovations and we were all still charged a 'resort' fee. What? We had a group of 15 rooms. We would have booked elsewhere had we known. Oh, I forgot, elevators weren't working correctly AGAIN this year. I think this might be the last time at the Hamilton, which is no longer an IHG hotel, so no points either.

The location is unbeatable, the hotel is very nice, the rooms are comfortable and with very good details. They have a normal Rest, nothing of the other world and the personnel is cordial, they do not spare the sympathy but what is necessary for the stay. I would go back to this hotel without hesitation and recommend it.

A very nice hotel just far away from Capitol Hill to not be overly crowded. It's a bit of a walk to the restaurant scene but not too far. The only complaint I have about the hotel is that the elevators are unnecessarily slow. Overall a great place to stay when visiting Washington DC.
