House keeping was nice, and the front desk was kind enough to let us check in 3 hours early and leave our bags with them after we checked out so we could go to the museum without having to leave them around

The AC broken, the fridge is broken, the pillows suck, stains on the bathroom floor, and worst? They charge you a ridiculous facility fee for using TV and Internet. I have never seen any respectful hotel that charge $25 a night for facility usage without even mentioning it at check or the hotel website. As they told me it s on the Email confirmation. Seriously don t stay there unless you have to. The staff is nice, and the location is good, but thosr are not enough reasons to stay

I don't understand the value factor on this place! Sushi, great location, great service, I should go here more, I'm just not around there enough. Also the concert venue downstairs is a gem too. Not too big, not too small, not too packed, they really are killing it all around

Excellent hotel, excellent cost-benefit ratio makes this hotel ideal to stay in Washington DC, either for work or for vacations. Of the best hotels I've been to in my life, I highly recommend it, especially Cande's attention at the reception. Very good Starbucks downstairs. The nearest metro is 300 meters away

Very good deal in terms of value for money. Placed in the center of Downtown Washington and easily accessible. Rooms are renovated with ample space and reception is here to help at all times. Breakfast is a minor since it is not included at the basic price and internet connection is charged on top (around 13 dollars per day)

There were no problems at check in. I loved the decor of the place. The elevators were a bit small, and the bed was uncomfortable for me, but I'm pregnant right now so definitely a factor. The attached restaurant advertises a breakfast buffet, but they don't have one!

Room was nice. Clean. Comfortable bed. In room Keurig makes up for no lobby coffee. Place is under renovation and restaurant is closed and we werent told about it when we booked. Had to enter and climb stairs and maze our way through each time we left and came back. Staff was friendly but no real acknowledgement of the inconvenience. Not really what you expect for a $120 a night place.

Staff seems pretty polite. I mean average polite nothing that stands out much except for the door men who open the doors for you upon entrance/exit. Room was small just for 2 of us. The fridge has a sensor if you hold an item for longer the 30sec they will charge the room. Our room didnt have a remote control for the TV which didnt bother me much but on Sunday after a long day of sight seeing we wanted to just hang out and watch something before bed, we asked for a control still waiting for it. Room service was ridiculously expensive we attempted to order 2 small desserts and 2 waters asked ahead for price $55 thats way too much for items on the menu that didnt not seem to be worth it. Overall its a place to come sleep and go out and about in town. I liked Georgetown if we come back I would try that area instead.

Reception is so rude, looking down to us as if we are illegal immigrants. It decides to do renovation during holiday period so you are forced to wait for an elevator for at least half an hour.

Good location in that it's walkable distance from most places in DC center and public transportation is accessible. Nice interiors, has the standard hotel stuff. Quality of the actual bed was okay.

Nice hotel, stayed there for two nights and have no complaints, clean and cozy rooms. I unfortunately left my Kindle in the room but the staff was very helpful. They kept it for a month and gave it back to me.

Perfect location right in the middle of the city. Walking distance to everything. A 24 hour CVS right across the street and a Starbucks in the lobby. Rooms were a bit small, but comfortable. You'll most likely have a view of gravel or of the next building, so keep that in mind. Otherwise, a total delight and nice to not stay at a typical chain

My go to hotel in Downtown DC. Great staff at the door (Alex!), reception and restaurant. I can highly recommend this hotel for a nice and easy hotel experience. The rooms are sufficiently spacious, spotlessly clean, with nice bathroom products, TV, minibar, a safe and very comfortable beds. The value for money is unbeatable!

The hotel itself was nice and the staff we interacted with in person were very polite and helpful. We stayed for one evening over the weekend and parked our own car, the stairs and elevator for the parking garage (that the hotel told us to park in) were locked all weekend so we had to walk 4 levels of the garage with our luggage. I also reached out to hotel customer service before our visit to request services and not only were requests not met but all together ignored. My email was never even replied to. So overall the hotel was not bad by any means, there were just several places where they dropped the ball on our stay.

Fine hotel, convenient location. Docked two stars for the "facility fee" of $28 / day which was not included on the sticker price when I booked my room online. Had a $100+ bill in addition to what I paid for a four night stay.

Room was nicely appointed. Staff friendly upon pulling up to the hotel to checkin (love the champagne greeting), to the restaurant. Bathroom was small but had everything needed including a reachable makeup/up close mirror. Plenty of outlets, usb charging, and nice size TV. It would be nice to have a menu on the minibar as couldn t tell what something was and of course you move it you bought it ;)
Would
Return and stay here again.

Rooms are fine, as is the location, but service is lacking in the extreme. Arrived 2 hours after 'check-in' time, room was not ready. Had to wait another hour to get in. The next day, when I returned to my room, a bag of wine, chocolates, and clothing (all gifts) was missing from the room. Housekeeping said it was mistakenly picked up as trash (although not being anywhere near the trash can). I asked them repeatedly to try and locate the bag, talk with the staff who cleaned the room, etc. Nothing. It wasn't until the threat of filing a police report was made that they took any action, but by then it was too late to try and retrieve the missing items. I hope whatever staff took the bag enjoyed the wine and the chocolate, and had use for the clothing. Ultimately, the hotel grudgingly gave me a free one night stay.....woohoo....

1) Sitting area with tables is very limited in or around the lobby, without going in the restaurant, where guests can sit to eat snack or drink. (2) There is Starbucks Cafe in the hotel. (3) Chinese buffet, a few deli bistros, and Dominoes Pizza around the immediate area. CVS and liquor store about 3 mins walk. (4) White House is of walking distance from the hotel.

This hotel is beautiful. We stayed in a junior suite and it was also nice. It was clean and well kept. The staff was helpful and pleasant. My only complaint is the mattress. It felt like a buffalo had laid in it and created a wallow. It needed to be replaced years ago.

Excellent option to stay, new rooms, large, very comfortable. The cost-benefit ratio is excellent, a 4-star hotel at a reasonable price. Central, very well located. Four blocks from the White House, in the same block of the Washington Post, very close to the National Mall. I would stay there again. Thanks to Cande, a hotel employee who is from Argentina, she treated us wonderfully.

Beautiful 3 star hotel for the simple fact that no one speaks Italian and no one has been able to help us ... we waited 5 hours for the room after 3 hours of travel by plane ... at the time of payment we were charged $ 168 for services that we did not use!

Lois was amazing, it was so clean and family friendly, the only issue we encountered was the door cards needed to be programmed everyday, small price to pay for such amazing service. I have been to D.C. many times, but, now, whenever I think of D.C. I will think of the Hamilton Hotel.

This hotel has everything going for it. Historic, Great Location, beautiful lobby, well designed room... However, there is a serious lack of maintenance/housekeeping at this hotel (like many other Crowne Plazas). While the rooms were really well designed, they are not being maintained. We had two rooms and the lampshades in both room were cracked on the inside, kinda like a cheap motel. High quality hotels replace their lampshades as they show any sign on damage. One of the switches on our lamps broke and we actually had to pull out the bed to get it to turn off. The bathroom is small and well laid out. However, any sign of black mildew is a no go for me because it shows a lack of proper cleaning after each quest. All of the baseboards were dirty, like they have never been wiped down. The roman shades look nice until you put them down and you can tell they have never been cleaned (in one room the shade was broken and could not be pulled back up). Just about every surface in the room had a layer of dust on it. I did record and provided a list of concerns to the front desk after my first night and they attempted to clean the rooms without much success. As a Spire member with 2 rooms for 3 nights over New Years and a list of complaints, I received no feedback from a property manager. Also, avoid Happy Hour. They charged us $10 for chips and "homemade" salsa. The salsa was clearly out of a jar, like Pace. When I returned it, I could see/hear the waitress and hostess speaking negatively about us and why we would return something.

What a ripoff. As previous reviewers have noted the walls were very thin. Additionally WiFi was not complementary, but you had to pay $14 per 24 hrs per device! There was no airport shuttle service either. The only good things I can say about the place is that the rooms were clean and nice and that they helped me cancel the WiFi after I realized I had just paid 14 bucks for using it on my cellphone only. I expect a lot more after paying $250 a night.

The hotel is conveniently located near a meto stop two block away and just a few more blocks away is the national mall. Travel the city was easy in my experience and I do not use public transit that often. The hotel itself was very clean and the staff made sure we had a great experience. I would recommend others to stay here. As a bonus the president's motorcade came down the street the hotel is on and we were able to watch that right outside.

Staff was great. The door man was great!! The rooms could use updating and the pillows could be replaced but for the money and service they were a great place to stay. I would hope they get rid of the down stairs and replace it with a pool!!! Thanks for the stay.
