The Grosvenor on the outside is a very well-to-do...

The Grosvenor on the outside is a very well-to-do hotel, giving off an air of quality. However the Grosvenor Brasseire is one of the worst restaurants I've ever been to, both for quality of food and value for money. We started off trying to order a Malibu and Cranberry juice, but the waitress did not understand what Malibu or Cranberry were. We ended up confusing the poor lady with this simple request and ended up having to order two glasses of tap-water to end her embarrassment.

The Lamb Shoulder was most definitely NOT lamb shoulder. It was actually some sort of pink-slime style meat, heavily salted to mask the smell of old/poor quality meat. The dish was titled Lamb Shoulder however there were actually pieces of bacon in the dish, not as described. I guess the purpose of the bacon was the same as the salt: to mask the crap (excuse my language, there isn t a more eloquent way to put it) quality of the 'meat'. Serving what is basically pink slime (and not actual lamb shoulder) is unforgivable for a restaurant of this calibre and price. This meat had obviously been heated more than once as it was burnt on the outside but cold yet overdone on the inside.

All in all, the restaurant setting was luxurious, though without the food to match.

One to avoid at all costs.
