The obvious reason to come here is to see the set from the Hobbit trilogy (faithfully recreated after the original set for LotR was dismantled,) but the big surprise was the feast! The food was excellent and nobody left disappointed. If you're planning a trip here, definitely splurge and go with the last tour group that includes dinner at the Green Dragon. It is well worth the money.

Fantastic location, I can see why Peter Jackson loved the area so much. The beautiful rolling hills with the few trees around, it truly is a marvel. Add the hobbit holes and the immense detail on the set and it is just amazing.

We visited the inn which is very in-keeping with Hobbiton and ate in the nearby marquee as part of the tour. The food was excellent, a great selection and well marked for those needing gluten free etc. I would have given 5 stars but we felt a little rushed as the next your party were the to arrive.

When visiting the Hobbiton Movie Set you end up here to relax in Hobbit style with a nice ale.
A lot of hand carved wooden interior pieces and a lovely view over Hobbiton just from across the bridge.

Nothing to complain about here. Got a free beer as part of the tour. Amber ale was very good. Had a cheese scone for a nice snack. Was tasty and a great price too. Perfect end to a fantastic tour.

Absolutely brilliant! The Green Dragon is an outstanding building & realistically functional Middle earth pub. The Evening Banquet Tour is the best way to experience Hobbiton & The Green Dragon. Authentic & I highly recommend going.

Hole tour in Hobbiton was amazing.

What can I say about the Green Dragon? Songs have been sung and tales told of this legendary place, and the real place did not disappoint. The tour aside, the Green Dragon is by far the jewel of all of Hobbiton. The thirty minutes you spend here at the end of the tour is not enough, which is why we came back for International Hobbit Day. I've never had an experience quite like it in all my life; it was a dream come true. The food was good, the ale and cider tasty, and the people there so, so friendly. I left a piece of myself there I'll never get back, and I can't say I'd want it, because that's the only way I'll ever be able to reside in Middle Earth.

A real cozy inn, despite the fact that it's a movie prop. The staff were real friendly and jolly. Shame we didn't see any hobbits dancing around and singing. Also too bad about the early closing hours.
