Evening tour with banquet is very worthwhile. Banquet food was delicious and presented beautifully.

None of the tables were able to finish all the food and dessert!

The guides were very funny and informative, spiced with many interesting stories from the film set and Tolkien lore.

This place was a pretty neat place. They only serve a few items in this place so do not come here thinking you will have a full meal here. I tried their meat pie and it was pretty good. I would recommend just waiting it out and eating elsewhere if possible though. The cool thing about this place is they have plenty of props you can take pictures with.

Greatest adventure in the world! I felt immersed into the land and the movie. I loved every second! The tour guides the food. Everything was outstanding. This is a must see type of place to visit.

It is THE green dragon folks. Its awesomeness is beyond words. LOTR mania aside, this is a really nice play to relax after you explore the Hobbiton. You will get a free drink here as part of your tour, bur you can also purchase some food/drink.

Love all the decorations. Everything looks very handmade and detailed. I wish the tour gave us more time to enjoy the drinks and food. But you get one free drink and about 10 minutes to chuck it down your throat and rush over to your bus.

A beautiful place that is mainly for the fans of Mr. tolkien's artwork and interesting place of pilgrimage. The whole tour is professionally done. After the set itself, there are groups that go on for a few moments, so it is not a free sightseeing tour by bus there is an interesting explanation of guides. For me, I can only recommend it despite the higher price.

It is to live the Mr. of the rings, GREAT to travel the filming places, the story of the guide is to live all the situations of the movies, to be able to sit down and drink beer, it is to feel part of the cast. If you visit New Zealand you cannot leave without visiting this place.

Absolutely fantastic! Loved all of Hobbiton, but it was so nice to have a cozy place to rest and to have a drink and snack before heading all the way back to Auckland. The food and drinks were actually very good, we loved the working fireplaces and the hobbit costumes. Can't wait to come back!

Simply amazing!! The whole set is lovely, full of details and special places, but the inn is the most! It is so like in the movies that you wouldn't be surprised if you found a hobbit sitting on a couch by the fireplace... And the dinner was 10/10, absolutely hobbit. Lots of delicious food accompanied with a good cider from the Shire. I wish I could live there permanently!!!

The entry fee of NZ $ 84 is not low for Hobbiton, but the facility is in absolutely perfect condition. The same goes for the green kite, of course. A drink is even included in the price. A must for all Tolkien fans. If you don't know the films and books, you should stay away from them and leave everyone else alone with the ridiculous bad reviews.

The Green Dragon Inn is one of the fantastic places to visit in the world. After our amazing Hobbiton tour, the tour guide took us for our free drinks here. Cause it was cold winter day, we felt so warm when we stepped into the Inn. It was really cosy...there was a fat lazy Persian cat lying on a couch by the warm fire place. Those mugs with our free drinks... All these are so familiar in the movies. Our yearly trip with loved ones, we are glad we manage to have it here.

If you take part in the tour, you automatically come to the Green Dragon at the end. You have 1/2 time to look around in peace, what to drink (a drink is included in the price, I recommend the Ginger beer non-alcoholic and very tasty) or something to eat for an extra charge.
