The renovations a few years back cheapened the place, still nice though, especially around Christmas
I came here to see the much celebrated Christmas decorations. Unfortunately so did half of Dublin too. This place was jammed in the late afternoon.
Servers were pleasant and very speedy. Fair play tok them not being wrecked by the constant Christmas crowds.
Drinks were priced as expected for South inner city.
I didn't eat but the food looked great. Standard pub dinners.
Very nice place with good beer selection. The bartender though got excessively angry because the credit card didn't support tap to pay.
Great service but very average food. Fish was massively overcooked.
Great pkace to have lunch or dinner. The most Christmas pub. The decoration was great. Food was also very good and the people smiling and caring.
The best. The red is better than most beers. Staff friendly. Great food for lunch.
Lovely little pub but especially nice with all the Christmas decorations up. Very busy but good atmosphere for after work drinks.
Great Irish food. Service a bit slow but otherwise pleasant
One of my favourite places in Dublin. Always friendly service and good honest food
Nice, cosy pub with good atmosphere, only complaint would be that they don't cater very well for vegetarians.
Craft beer at its finest. Great service and great location but the only problem is that it can get absolutely jammed on a Friday after work.
Nice place for a beer in the garden area when is sunny day
Amazing festive atmosphere and the staff go above and beyond, even at peek times!
The food is meh but the drink staff and building will not disappoint. love it here
Excellent wee spot not too far from Pearce Station so great for a pint or tow before the evening commute.
Made my sister feel terrible for being coeliac; I hate people with an intolerance were the exact words from the staff member s mouth before explaining what could be made gluten free as if we were causing hassle.... being coeliac is not a choice, and it would be great if staff could take it more seriously & not be dismissive of it as she could be really sick if she ate something not gluten free. Would they have said the same to someone vegetarian or requesting a halal option?
Maybe just make a separate gluten free menu if the staff can t be bothered to explain what options can be made gluten free as it will save all parties the bother. I always highly recommend the food, buzz & customer service here which is why we came - but now I d think twice after this today; quite rude & disappointing
Great welcome and great food. A rather atypical but atmospheric pub. Recommended if you are in the area.
Great pub for drinks after work and even some hearty lunch / dinner. Friendly staff
My usual haunt before Irish international matches. I've had lunch here and the food is excellent. Well worth a visit.
Great food, great beer, beautiful people. A 100% irish experience
If you love HEAVY decoration .. head here for Christmas and Halloween .. overall a good bar with a mixed crowd
Sitting here just finished some Nachos. Awful. I have to say I like tthe pub have been in a few times before an Ireland game but never eaten here. People In work always raving about the food and I had a spare hour while waiting for someone so said I'd try. Poor. Stale corn chips, cold cheese and luke warm chilli.couldnt send them back place too busy with football fans. Awful value @12.95! Disappointing
We had a wonderful time visiting the Pub 2 nights in a roll on our 2 week vacation. Stephen and Phil are so socialable we felt like family. We're from Showlow, AZ and we would recommend everyone to visit for the wonderful meal, deserts and beer!!
This pub was across the street from our hotel and open late, so we gave it a go and I'm glad we did! The food was really good (I recommend the Steak & Guinness Pie!), and our waiter was friendly.
Friendly and spacious. It is not true that all the bars are the same. The warmth of this one will capture you
Friendly staff and the food is actually pretty decent. The bangers and mash was great.
The most amazing Christmas decorations and staff are so helpful
Good food, especially steak sandwich and wedges. Nice staff.
Lovely pub. Gets busy especially on Friday. But really nice, friendly staff, good food. Liked the Writer's beers brewed by Franciscan Wells.
Great this bar, very friendly staff, great decor, very comfortable. The food was a dream, top recommendation!
Love this bar, but come early if you want a seat. I went on a Friday and it was full of people. We first stood beside the bar, but then moved to standing beside the stairs as the place was so full. We did manage to get a table. I haven't eaten here but they do serve food and it smells amazing. They also offer table service which is great!
Really bad customer service! Made to feel two feet tall when you lose an item that they eventually find! Will not be returning
Great food. Lovely place to meet friends and catch up. Also, dont forget to go here at Christmas and check out the decorations.
Great place for a pint after work, usually lively with great service
Great place and amazing food, guinness pie is highly recommended! Staff was also very friendly!
Their pitchers are deadly, cheap and delicious! And the outside area is great, even as the evening arrives
Average food. Very cramped space with old furniture. Needs modernisation
Best Christmas experience, drinks were decent also!
One of my favourite pubs, a great place to go. Delicious food
Amazing bar have visited every time I go to Dublin. Love it
Quality pub. Best to go at Christmas for the decorations!
Friendly, tasty food, had a late Saturday lunch at 1pm, easy to find a table. Kids are not an issue.
Super staff and although the restaurant was really busy we were served our meal promptly
Very nice atmosphere especially before christmas
Though 6.50 for a glass of wine is ridiculous sorry guys
Has all the necessary amenities top class atmosphere, great little pub, first class staff and friendly customers. What more could you ask for. See you again soon
Too noisy, but great chips and very central location.
Lovely pub, a little bit besides the main streets, giving it a less touristy crowd. Nice staff, good prices and best of all - no WiFi.
Tasty, bright, fast, noisy!
Great place and delicious Irish food.
