This pub hasn't changed name in generations. In the 90s I remember it being rather like a student union bar with blackboards advertising beer pitchers and wine specials. Now it is recognized as a food stop. Staff are always friendly and helpful. A Christmas visit is a must to see the most fantastic interior light display ever. (Who checks all those bulbs?). Also very convenient for Pearse railway station. Worth missing a train or two.

It looks so beautiful in December because they have a lot of Christmas decorations. I can definitely recommend to go there and have a look. The Guinness is even better with that nice pre Christmas feeling.
It could get very crowded on the weekends. So if your looking for a fun night out start there.

This pub has got lots of personality. Something that makes it stand out from other pubs. It was crowded, and the Christmas decorations were totally crazy (see photos) - and yet, it was so incredibly cosy. And the food was top-notch. When I come to visit Ireland again, I am definitely coming back to Ginger Man!

After getting settled in our airb&b we took our jet-lagged selves to this pub because it was the closest. Ended up having a delicious meal with a great wait staff - especially Claire. Ended up eating three meals there. Never disappointed.
