The Gateway Arch is amazing. Everyone should go see this atleast once. When you purchase your ticket it's for a specific time so show up early.

Great spot to visit with family! Top of the Arch tour with tram ride was worth it!

Whilst the trip to the top might not be for everyone, visiting this extraordinary landmark is something everyone should consider! Save some serious cash by parking right next to the river (between the Arch and the river) instead of the overpriced parking lots nearby!!!

Ummm duh.... history.... culture.... fireworks! Oh St. Louis best bbq anywhere!

The staff was friendly. Lines were long but they were under construction plus it was summer so we kind of expected a line. The ride up was fun even though my son farted the whole time. Haha the view up top was so neat. It was crowded up top but it is what it is. Expected for the summer months. The ride down was just as fun as going up. All around just awesome. The old courthouse was super neat too. I seriously suggest buying your tickets there or at least stopping in.

The Gateway is a neat thing to visit and definitely worth visiting if you are in the area, but there isn't much here, or at least not when I went. A lot of the area was under construction and I don't doubt when the park is finished it will be nice, but for now it leaves a bit to be desired. A piece of American history none-the-less and I'm glad I went.

The new design is very nice! It was hard to find the new entrance. Museum is nice.

Wonderful musuem in the heart of downtown. No admission. And open late!

A wonderful national park in a major city. Just be prepared to walk a bit as all parking is off site. No close in parking for handicapped.

Buy your tickets well in advance, and plan to be there a long time. Your ticket slot is with up to 40 other people, and you are shown a video and then pod instructions before going up to the top. You are allowed to spend as long as you want up top but it's crowded. Once you take your obligatory pics you can go back down and check out the underground museum (very well done!) or go outside to take some neat photos. I'm not going to tell you you must visit because if you are visiting St. Louis you have already made your mind to go!

Kids loved it. Very cool museum. Little pricey. Prob wont go again bc it cost us $50 just to ride to the top.

WOW! Last time I saw the Gateway Arch was back in 1990 and I think they added a section every year since, cause it I don't remember it being that tall. Anywho, loved it.

Amazing feat in architecture and a fantastic history museum underneath the gateway arch. The staff and presentation of the museum is a historical treat for the whole family, Psss bring some friends too.

Not for the claustrophobic! This is a Must See for any visitor to St. Louis. Experience the museum, watch the short documentary, and be amazed at one of the finest engineering marvels of the mid twentieth century. Make time to take the riverboat cruise, and visit the old courthouse across the street where the Dred Scott case was decided.

Great attraction! We had to purchase tickets early for a later tour time. On a busy day make sure you purchase early. It takes a bit of time maybe give yourself 10 minutes to get to the tram line from the front entrance. Not recommended if you are claustrophobic. The tram cars are very small. Very interesting.

Super cool. Visited in the rain which was nice to avoid the crowds, the price paid was getting drenched. I would suggest walking around and looking at the Arch from different angles. Super cool to see it from different perspectives. It is a national park, I found out, so bring your national park pass if you have one, I imagine it will get u into the museum for free or discounted. Call ahead to check. I arrived after hours so couldn t verify.

This was one of the coolest experiences. We rode to the top of the arch at sunset and it was SOOOOO cool. The staff are so informed and knowledgeable. Lots of places for photo opportunities.

Enjoyed the museum and tour. Grounds and inside were very clean and well kept. Would recommend to all. Learned quite a bit from Tram operator as well as the museum and film.

First time, up close and personal. Great to be there after 30+ years in Missouri. A site to see and touch.

Amazing place. The enormity of the structure does not hit you till you are close to it. But when you are standing below it, it'll blow you away with its grandeur. The elevator to the top is one of a kind. And what a view once you get up there! Book your tickets in advance.

Very very cool monument!! They have a visitor Center underneath but you do have to pay to go up in the tram.

Very beautiful.On the first day,the tickets were sold out so I had just watched the documentary which was quite interesting .It is insane how they built something so impressive back in the 1960s. When I returned the next day to go to the top, it was cool how the elevators are in a chain and we could see the inside structure. Once on the top, I could see the whole city on one side and the Mississippi River on the other. Definitely a city I would visit again in the future.

Not only America's tallest national monument, but also the world's tallest arch! A wonderful engineering marvel on the banks of the Mississippi.

The renovation work around the base of the arch doesn't seem to end! The park around the arch is also beautiful.

We have visited the arch several times while in St. Louis. The kids enjoy it so much every time. This is the first time we ve been since the renovations. Wow they did an amazing job!! We were very impressed with the details put into the museum. Also just the ease of access now and how everything flows. It makes it a very time efficient trip to the top. So much fun and so cool to see the whole city from the windows up top!

Pretty darn cool! Definitely something to check off the USA travel checklist. The museum was a little underwhelming IMO but the arch itself was beautiful, quite the site to see.

One of a kind experience! No personal space but well worth it! The exhibits were amazing and interactive!

This place feels special from the moment you pull into St.Louis city limits and you are able to see this monumental silver arch . You quickly realize why it may be deemed the GATEWAY Arch versus any other name . It feels like it s a portal to Heaven . I Thank God for the opportunity to see it in person on my road trip from Chicago to Houston . 30 hours by Kanye West rings in my head now as I think about the experience .

I love the museum in the arch. Nice detail of the native Americans. I went yo the top of the arch. I was okay. Be ready to be around lot of people. Its a very small area and the windows are very small. One side of the arch, the windows are facing the Mississippi river. The other side of the river is Illinois the other side of the arch faces the rest of Missouri. Not sure if it was worth $12. I had fun though.

The Arch is a unique and interesting attraction to see, just once or twice. The recent renovations to the surrounding area and museum were a great improvement and help create a more engaging visitor experience overall. I last visited shortly after the the renovations were complete and there was quite a bit of waiting. The small car/pod that takes you up to the top can be a little tight and once you get to the viewing area, it's even tighter - a lot of people looking and waiting to look from the limited windows.

I definitely suggest as an attraction for kids, but if you're adults visiting for the weekend, I would just plan to take a walk around the grounds before heading to Ballpark Village and into a Cardinals game.

It's the Arch. C'mon. You have to go at least once if you can. Engineering marvel.

Awesome in scale... Free museum!
Only slightly difficult to figure out how to get off of the highway and into a parking lot... Offramp closures and all.

Had a blast taking the my Kitten to the arch and got some amazing photos with my Galaxy S9. I've grown up in Stl and the new restoration project they did down here looks amazing this was my first time seeing it since they finished.

DO NOT MISS THIS! We had a fantastic time here! The museum was incredible, and even our 8 month old enjoyed it! We will definitely be back!

Would be 5 stars if the customer service was adequate. They act like you're a major inconvenience. The architecture is worth suffering through the eye rolls and holier than thou attitude.

A mind-boggling feat of engineering that seems impossible when you stand at the bottom and look up at it. The underground entrance has a museum, Cafe, restrooms, and is very clean and aesthetically pleasing. The ride to the top and the view was well worth the $12 per adult. They just got National Park status in 2018, so bring your national park annual pass for a $3 per person discount.

Wonderful experience; must be done at least once in a lifetime. You can visit the museum at no charge. There is a little cafe also. You still have to go through security even if you're only gonna see the museum.

A must visit. The Gateway Arch is a 630-foot monument in St. Louis Missouri. The world's tallest Arch can be seen from nearly the tippy top by taking a VERY small dome elevator. Dedicated to the American People the arch is a wonder and a very long look down. Lots of great landmark views and even a clever history video projected on the walls before the untraditional side to side elevator ride. Go with friends and family unless you dont mind making news friends in a tight ride to the top.

What a unique landmark. A nice place to spend the day visiting. Such a wonderful view.

I visited this place to hang out with my old friends. It is an amazing experience...with lot of hard work of folks in building this amazing structure. A must one time watch. When on top you get to see a great view of the city, baseball ground, Mississippi River , downtown area... mesmerizing experience!!!

Scary to ride in the elevator capsule but the view is amazing. There is a really nice museum in the beginning and end.

The whole place has been redone. The museum area is very interesting and a lot of the exhibits are interactive. The security to get it was similar to airport security which was a bummer. Yet somehow the people we rode up the arch in had a hubcap in their possession. They have a cafe inside with a nice selection. The gift shop was pretty inclusive. Definitely worth the money.

The new museum is absolutely fantastic. They ve done a great job with the grounds and taking the tram up to the top truly was a fun time. I didn t think I would enjoy it as much as I did and I am really glad that I went. Even if you re skeptical whether you d appreciate the view and ride, I highly recommend going!

It's a must visit place in St Louis. I didn't think it would be this good. Arch view from outside is spectacular. You don't appreciate how beautiful it is unless you visit it. Arch is clearly visible when you reach downtown.
They have elevator to the top !!!!! Yes, you heard it right. Elevator takes us to the top of the arch.
The view from the top is the real reason. It's so nice to see downtown from the top. You get the downtown view on one side and river on other.
And coming down in elevator was also a thrill.

Visited the arch and rode to the top. Nice views. Staff in the gift shop and cafe are nice and friendly. Our "guide" needed some further training. It's one of those things that you want to do, just to check it off your bucket list.

The new arch grounds is absolutely beautiful. Definitely recommend taking the family.

An American classic! So worth the wonderful views! It is not scary at all....the carts up to the top are a clever engineering feat and the staff is outstanding. A must do....buy your tickets online before you get there so you don't have to wait. There is security as be reserve a little extra time.

I loved it! Probably the coolest thing I've ever laid eyes on! All the park staff were very professional and friendly! Bathroom area was state of the art!

Absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!!! Have passed it several times but never had time to stop, so on our 11 year anniversary we decided this was what we wanted to do!!!

Yes, the monument is an amazing site and the museum is beautiful, but I am giving this a 1 because of what happened while we were taking in the sites. We parked our vehicle on street parking, and my husband, my 10 month old son, and I walked up the steps. When we came back not even an hour later, we realized that someone(s) busted the back window out of our car and stole my son s diaper bag and my husband s back pack. Word to the wise, never leave any personal belongings in your vehicle near this monument. Be careful parking below the monument. Shady people are lurking, targeting out of state visitors! I don t know what type of person it takes to steal from a family with a baby! I hate St. Louis and will never be back.

Awesome experience. If you haven t been before it s definitely worth a visit! Prices are great for all that you get to do and see. Staff was friendly and facilities were very clean!

Fascinating story about how it was built. The lines were very long though to go through the Arch. Wait time was at least 45 minutes. The ride itself is only about 7 minutes.

My kids had a great time going to the top of the arch. We all did :)

I have been there about 4 times now. I would suggest going early. We were there around 9:30 a.m. Not crowded. Nice historical museum. Is very efficiently run. As you can see we chose a nice day and it was clear. We got good pics. It is definitely a different experience. Yes do it.

Love this place. Have been to the Arch on several occasions but it had been a few years since my last visit. There is a new grand entrance to the west of the monument, as opposed to the entrances that used to be at the base of either end. There is even a simulator of the top of the arch for those who may be claustrophobic or afraid of heights. Riding the pods to the top of the arch can be a bit intimidating.

Amazing since the overhaul has been completed. Went a couple of years ago when renovations were underway and my family went up the Arch for the first time. Since the Arch was built in the sixties the whole thing has a mid century "the future is now" feel. Half the fun is the journey in the little pods up the sides of the Arch. The views are just a great bonus. The new areas with the historical and cultural information about Saint Louis as the true "Gateway to the West" fully worth a second trip. This a must do for anyone visiting Saint Louis or even natives who haven't visited in a while.

I am usually not big on major tourist attractions but the ride and view was worth every dollar. Once in a lifetime experience you shouldn't miss!

The elevator is pretty sketchy, but reliable, so no need to worry. View from top is worth it.

If you could....the best way to see this artificially made beauty wonder...is by trying to come see it lol...if you could by pass all the ugly things on the way there...the point is surprisingly beautiful here...if you reading this slow down when you're there and enjoy it :)

A must go in St. Louis. Go to the top and get the best view of the city. I would recommend going at sunset for the best view.

The new entrance is cool but the museum is not very kid friendly. Way to much reading and not enough interactive stuff to keep kids engaged

Great views. Nice staff. Missed the sunset we bought tickets to see bc they shut down one side and were running 20 minutes behind.

Amazing feat of engineering. I've passed it up on dozens of trips across the US. So glad I finally stopped to check it out. The park at the base is amazing, especially at dusk with a full moon shining through the arch.

Spectacular monument, even if all you have time for is to drive by. If you can get out and walk around, even better.

This was a really cool experience! The view from the top was beautiful, and the museum was very interesting. The little pod going up to the top can be scary for people who don t like tight spaces, so I wouldn t recommend it for those with claustrophobia.

I was never impressed by this monument in pics but it's quite breathtaking in person and it's right on the water. The museum is newly updated and super informative. Sometimes those museums can be boring but this one is very interactive, has lots of movies, and covers a lot of ground. Going to the top of the arch was pretty painless but there will most likely be a long wait (we waited about 3 hours) but you can fill your time with walking around the park, getting a bite to eat, and walking around the museum.
