I went for the lunch menu and I didn't enjoy that. The portions are definitely big but I really didn't like the quality of the food. I ordered a vegetarian burger. I am very into tasting good vegetarian burger and this one was not great. Way to spicy and dry, difficult to appreciate.

Good selection of beers, ciders, spirits etc. Plenty of space on the ground floor and entrances on both sides of the building, does get very busy on evenings. 3rd floor tiki bar is a lot of fun with exotic cocktails and bigger ones for sharing, some that come on fire. 2nd floor bar is the swankiest with really good cocktail selection, seating and more of relaxed atmosphere. They also serve food here which is really nice, lots of smaller bites and some burgers etc. Get stuck in!

Think Wild West America meets downtown New York in Manchester and you are pretty close to the feel of Cane and Grain. Well stocked bar serving decent beer and liquor with a touch of hipster. Oh and their food is great too. Definitely worth a visit.

Cane and never again... came here as 50% off but wouldn t even pay 10% of the price. Incredibly dry ribs which were supposed to be glazed. Dry as Ghandi s flip flop. When I said this to staff they hardly addressed it and just brought us the full price bill

I was here with my friend Ryan Davies when suddenly his arse gave in. What followed i can only describe as waterboarding. Guantanamo would be proud. Anyways the drinks are good, it's a nice place. Recommended!

A good bar with a nice interior design, good range of drinks and plenty of seating. The barman had amazing cocktail making skills, spinning the glass, it was outrageous. There's a cool atmosphere there too, so enjoy yourself. It's well located too, close to Piccadilly Gardens station and the trendy Northern Quarter.

Well what can I say... great experience well thought out themed levels, 1st floor 'pub' style for pre drinks, through the 'secret' door to the restaurant, Victorian apothecary themed including fab mixology menu for cocktails. Food was amazing and staff were fab. Then on up to the tiki cocktail bar, look out for the ""zombie"" wow!

I can t rate the food because I didn t get a chance to eat it but the service was terrible. We had a reservation for two. When we arrived we were seated on extremely small table and ordered some drinks. Then we waited for about half an hour to order food but eventually had to call a waitress over, who then mentioned that food wait is an hour (which she should have done way earlier), so we just decided to leave. Overall, badly organised restaurant with poor service. I understand it was busy, but this was not acceptable.

Another generic hipster/American bar, staff do not particularly appear interested in creating a vibe. We were in a group of 15 so we had fun, but it would help that staff try not to burn customers went setting cocktails on fire.

My favourite place in Manchester. Love the place and love a good pint of zombie cocktail. Staff are great too! But prefer upstairs more than downstairs.

I also want playboy mags all over my ceiling like in the men's toilet but I'm not allowed :(

Unfortunately, in the past year or so, the food kinda' went downhill - possibly due to a change in chefs or menu. The ribs I usually get are now a bit flavourless and a lot fattier. We've been twice now just to check, and the food just isn't as good as it used to be. Everything is just a bit dry and flavourless, or overcooked. Shame!

Part of the Tiki franchise Cane and Grain keep it simple - If you like Rum cocktails and juicy Ribs then this place is where you want to be as they do both very well. I went for the beef ribs with a bourbon sauce which nearly finished me, they were huge and covered in sticky sweet sauce washed down with a well crafted Dark and Stormy. The only other thing on the menu were chicken wings - which they had run out of when we were there but would not have been able to stand up to the ribs in any case.

Really bad experience. Pre ordered food for group of 15. Arrived at 830 as planned. Food served at 1020pm. Most people left without food. Even with discount offered as an apology I probably still won't risk booking again.
