Decent quality pints but the staff are really some of the worst barmen in Dublin - all, bar one, are very rude and no craic. The best thing about this place is the location and some of the decor.

We stayed here for the weekend. Although the room was adequate for our needs and the location was good there are a few suggestions I would make to improve the service...
1. Hire staff that are not clearly on drugs
2. Have those do not disturb/clean the room hangers for the door - not everyone likes people in their room!!
3. Be more efficient with the service
4. Offer a residents only lounge/area
5. Put a shelf or something in the shower cubical to put your shampoo s etc on.
6. Ensure all staff behind the bar are working. Some staff were just standing around letting another member do all the work while we were there.

Very cosy classic pub. Perfect for after work pints. Even though it's spacious it's usually pretty crowded. Staff is usually friendly and the service is quick. Overall a very pleasant spot.

Great pub with what you expect.

Great pub with what you expect.

You can rent rooms here as well. It isn't luxurious but the price and location is right. Your stay comes with breakfast included.
From a cursory glance the facility isn't suitable for mobility impaired people.

I went to the Ferryman for a pint after a tour around the Tall Ships. I've passed it several time when I crossed the Samuel Becket bridge but I wouldn't typically get there while on a pub crawl in town.

Well, although it was very crowded upstairs there was still some space left on the mid-level and basement. I liked the atmosphere with the high shelves, the sailor-inspired and other items. It's worth the longer walk from the city centre.

The Ferryman Hotel is a really lively place to go for a drink after work. We went with family (all over 18). The music was quiet enough that we could chat but loud enough to hear (a balance that a lot of places seem to struggle with). Will be going again.

Found this on Tripadvisor. We had a great stay. Staff was super friendly and helpful. The pub downstairs was awesome. Staying above the pub was not bad at all. Room was great and we had an awesome view of the river. Breakfast was spot on and started the day perfectly. I would go to the Ferryman again and again. My only warning would be that the stairs are narrow and if you have large luggage it may prove difficult.

Great pub! We rented the room on the first floor for a group of 50 people and it was impeccable. William, the manager is super friendly and helped me with organising live music. The pub is also really close to the convention centre, which was perfect for us. Thank you, I am going to return!
