Cool, atmospheric place, but beer only serve until midnight.
Such is the custom here - and therefore the star less.
But I recommend it anyway, because it's not far from the center.

We will not be returning to the Ferryman hotel. 417 EUR for 3 nights. The good part: the room is ok in size, the bed is comfortable, it is cleaned daily. The breakfast room is very nicely furnished and has a wonderful view. The reasons why we will not return: Firstly, upon arrival we found hair in our shower. Secondly, there are no proper breakfast options. If you are a celiac or have other allergies-no options for you. The only two choices were cereal or full Irish breakfast. The view from our room was also quite grim and ocasionally food smell gets in. All in all it was an ok stay, but not enough value for the money. There are more central options (location vise) which charge the same prices. The staff was friendly.
Cabbage and bacon u can't beat it ,quick service funny staff good food !!!
Handy for pre theatre drinks..as close to Bord Gais
Busy weekdays immediately after work and at weekend evenings. Good beers, well kept. Averagely high on prices.
Good assortment of beers and the location near the Calatrava bridge ... we suffered a little from the lack of some snacks but otherwise it would not be a typical pub
Staff are terrible and disgustingly rude don't waste your money or your night far better places to go. They will remove you from the pub for laughing!!
Referring only to lunch at the pub - it was deliciously Irish and the service cordial. A strong recommendation for it.
Good food (and amounts of it), nice bar and quick enough service even when busy. On a sunny day you'll find plenty of people inside and outside of it.
The Ferryman features a traditional Irish pub, which is popular by locals and visitors. It has an authentic design and a great selection of Irish and international drinks.
Convenient to the Bord Gais theatre. Nice view of quay in good weather. Some outside seating.
Pretty authentic, with almost no tourists. Nice selection of food. Good for a chat .
We just passed it, no place inside. But looked very nice
Manfred from Frankfurt
This was an emergency booking that was wonderful. Very clean. Close to many restaurants and tourists offices. Dublin Castle is only a 30 minute walk
Great pints and great food, lunch only for food, loved the curry, the pies and the fish & chips.
Decent place where you can meet lots of people from nearby IT companies.
expensive pub serving mainly those working in the surrounding financial buildings. good, lively but uncovered smoking area and always very full on thursday and friday.
Awesome bar right next to the theater. Best guiness in town!
Lovely traditional Irish pub. Friendly service. Great lively atmosphere of an evening.
About two weeks stay and a place where I am satisfied
Lovely pub, super friendly and helpful staff. The room we had was small but fit for purpose and the bathroom was lovely. Walk on shower with a large central rose head so it was a real luxury. Recommend a stay. Also close to lots of restaurants and other places in most directions. Breakfast good and a large portion, think they offered free pour coffee and tea but was in quote a rush so didn't get to properly check out the service. Pub downstairs in massive and gets very busy but we weren't disturbed by any of the noise at all. Right on the water too so nice views.
Krcma super, it's pretty sure you'll find a place. Rooms when you guys are yes, not for a romantic stay
Fantastic pub. Three of us were warmly welcomed on a cold bleak winters day. We we each poured a Guinness. We were shown the carvery downstairs. The carvery was a revelation. We had the Irish stew which was simply delicious. The owner said they made it with some of the juices from their roast lamb or beef. They had a splendid looking pie as well. I would truly recommend this pub.
Great spot!! Great atmosphere and music!! Proper dub pub!!
Great place for a decent pint and a chat. Also suitable for larger numbers downstairs.
I really enjoyed hanging out here after a big day of exploring Dublin. Gets really busy with the after-work IT crowd but that just adds to the atmosphere.
Smash sweet owners - the pub is in the middle of the modern district
Lively, eclectic pub that embodies Dublin very well. Great atmosphere.
Great view of the river and bridge if you get a table near the window to people watch.
Hence the atmosphere was great in setting the mood. Not too noisy when we went in on Tuesday early evening.
The barstaff are wonderful, friendly and have very good customer service attitude as they allowed my colleague to test their red ale before buying a full pint, as she couldnt decide if it would be nice or not.
I have never come across a pub offering a taster in London, something special with the Dubliners!
Prices are similar to other pubs in Dublin, so not the cheapest place, but then your paying for a beverage with a view ;)
I didn't get to check out the toilets, but the table when we walked up was clean, which is refreshing as I carry around wipes to clean up tables as it's my usual experience, so again great staff at this place.
There is a room upstairs which can be booked for an event.
Please like if you think this was useful.
Beautiful, old-style, typically Irish hotel. A flaw (not serious) lacks the elevator, but in such a hotel, it would be out of place.
Lovely bar, great pints of Guinness. Nice selection of Irish Whiskey and an overall lovely bar for the chats and craic.
Very bad reception and lack of professionalism of the staff who is also impolite for one of them. Moreover the beer is expensive
Great place for the football. Reasonable price pints.
Lovely pub, good staff. E6 for a pint. I only knocked one star off because the tables downstairs have such a thick top that it juts into your leg when you're sitting down so it's not the most comfortable.
Great atmosphere on a Friday evening after finishing the weeks work.
An awesome Irish pub. Plenty of space downstairs for those walking by and think it's too full.
Really nice pub. I like the traditional look in the middle of a modern area of the city.
We had a big conference at the convention centre and food and drinks were laid on, but sometimes it was nice to get away to the relative peace of a pub, and have a Guinness.
Very Irish pub. If you are expecting any kind of food, this is not your place, they have just beer!
Great Gluten Free Food ,
Excellent Chef.
Recommend Batter Fish
A very nice bar and restaurant in an ideal location if you are attending a concert in the 3 arena or attending and event in the convention center. It's a small location but makes up for it with it's character. The nautical theme can be seen throughout which is very welcoming. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I'd definitely visit it again on my way to a concert
Head Waiter is not nice. Food very over priced. Guinness a rip off .
Absolutely great Pub! Take your feet outside the centre and you wont regret it.
Lovely pub.but loads empty glasses left on counter .asked for gluten free crisps was told there none no pub does it.then a young barman said yes we do sell them.need to inform staff.
Nice pub with decent views of the Liffey, good beer selection and the staff are quick and friendly. Gets a bit crowded on a Friday like every riverside pub
Went in after a show at the Bord Gais. Place was packed with a great atmosphere. It's a lot bigger than it looks. Staff were super friendly even though they were really busy.
Traditional city centre pub. Good selection of beers and food. Popular with sport fans
Ok let's get the negatives out of the way first. I arrived to be greeted by a smiling chap who saw my disheveled and weary state so suggested I have a drink - his cunning ploy worked as it was lovely so I had 2. I went to my room to do some work and sat on the bed however I soon found out that this was a TRAP! It was far too comfortable and i fell asleep. The morning a was fed a lovely full Irish breakfast but later realised that they feed you up so that you feel guilty when squeezing into the show cubicle afterwards. All in all of you want comfort, a nice atmosphere, clean rooms and good food then thisnis the place for you.
Disappointed no smitwicks pint hop 6..40 bit on the expensive side I taught
Great traditional pub. Perfect pint of Guinness and great selection of whiskeys.
Walking by this morning at 9:25am I saw a dark haired waitress with thick rimmed glasses pick cigarettes up off an outside table and pitch them into a street. Do not support an institution that is happy to litter and pollute the city around it.
very nice hotel with attention to detail. great price and a great atmosphere. The staff is very nice and the bar below the hotel invites you to linger. TOP! Always my pleasure.
Guinness is ace. Gets very busy, but worth the visit
Ok hotel, clean and simple rooms. Bathrooms need a little work. Upstairs dining room is really nice.
Came to try some Guinness in between attending a company conference. Really cool vibe and great Guinness!
