B&B on the river, near the center. Very welcoming, very kind staff, excellent and plentiful Irish breakfast. Our room, with three beds, one double and one single, is very small but equipped with everything you need. Everything above a pub frequented by Irish, great beer and nice environment. We liked it very much and recommend it to those who love informal and immersive situations in the society they visit.

Met up with people from the Dublin Office on my last contract. Met with the usual awesome Irish hospitality. Staff were friendly & patient while helping me work out what they had on offer that I would enjoy drinking.

Good menu. Excellent food. Great atmosphere, Nice location. Close to IFSC, CHQ Building. Connolly Train & Dart Station, Bus Aras provincial bus station and the Luas tram George's Dock stop. Friendly efficient staff. I have been there 3 times & I will definitely return.

Amazing playlist (Climax Blues Band, Gilbert O'Sullivan, and more) and great beer in a really comfortable trad pub. The bar man who served me had a lovely singing voice too, as he idly sang to himself while pouring my pint. Very nice.

We stayed 2 nights in room 14 at the front overlooking the Liffey. Beautiful view, a bit noisy late at night but then it is a very popular pub. The room was clean and beds very comfy, the shower hot. Breakfast ok plenty of tea and toast. Staff all very pleasant and helpful. A great price for a city centre B&B, hotel over the road was double the price. Good location for everything.

I booked this pub for my mother's 70th Birthday Party for November. I rang to pay the 300 deposit for the room and the girl said "oh I was going to call you today for the deposit as I have another enquiry" I asked did she want my card she said yes, then she said do you have far to travel, I said oh i am from down the road then she said " Oh I am sorry we are booked for that date" Well if you were booked for that date why did she say she was going to ring me today for the deposit. I said well my dates are flexible any date in November will do as I knew she was declining my booking from where I said I was from. Then I said my mother's birthday is not until the end of November so if you have a date in December, she stuttered and said she would call me back. I have had many parties in many hotels and local pubs in the area and I have never in my life been refused to book a party. Not only did I find the staff very rude. If you are looking for a party, the room may be lovely but i doubt you'd get the service you'd expect.

We loved the place. Double room was nice and the bed was super comfy. The breakfast was good and the staff was very friendly. After the whole day of walking around the city it was nice to have a few beers in the pub downstairs before rolling into bed. When we come back to Dublin we ll stay here again.

Proper Dublin pub. Serves a good carvery menu at lunchtime during the week. Working man sized portions! Decent pint of Guinness too. Was in here on a Friday night with great live music too.

Never stayed at the hotel but the pub downstairs is great. Local watering hole for everyone that works in the area. Service behind the bar is also always friendly and professional. Grab a pint already!

Service with a snarl. I ordered 20 shots of spirits and simply asked for a tray so that I could carry them down to the basement. I was told that they 'didn't do trays'. I asked for a plate instead and was told they didn't do plates either. This was during a quiet period too. We were sitting in the basement part of the bar and at the end of the evening, a stench from Hades overwhelmed us. It smelt like a sewage leak but I was then told by some regular punters that they release this stench on purpose in order to flush out their guests at the end of the evening.

Avoid this place at all costs.

If you want a place to stay / a bed to sleep in, and don't have any other requirements for an hotelroom, than this is a great place to stay. But everything just looked a bit old & dirty. If you want a bit more comfort I would suggest going to one of the other hotels nearby.

Price really wasn't bad and the breakfast was good. Staff is really friendly and nice. Also I didn't hear a sound from the pub downstairs eventhough I stayed their on a Thursday and a Friday night.

So, stay here if you are alright with less comfort / luxury than a normal hotel room.

A few things need to be addressed here which i will do in as much detail as i can. I get security. The Ferryman gives you a card to buzz in. That s great but the people that answer the door are not polite nor are the directions to buzz in clear. For instance I tried to buzz in moments ago and my response was people are trying to sleep here so keep it down . Really? Might was well be in a Hostel. I can Put up with NO a/c. I can Put up with the bar crowd being heard to 2am. But for someone to tell me to be quiet for hitting a buzzer that s pointless to have, I honestly cant accept. The place is ok, there isn t A/C that I m aware of, so we sweat non stop. If ur ok with that,I just warn the people answering the buzzer no so polite. For someone reading this that works there the date was 7/5

Nice pub just based of the docklands near Saint John Rogerson Quay. Very good for pints of guiness and drinks and nice seating areas / snugs.
It also does nice carvery lunches during the day.
Very useful for for anyone looking for some casual drinks or if you want to get some some nice casual lunch in the area.
