Purely on facilities, staff and views from the room, this hotel is fantastic. The room was very well maintained, every inch reflects what you would expect from a 4 star. The gym was on the basic sufficient side; the sauna/steam room was not available for hotel guest until you pay to use their spa massage service. Every morning, there is lovely tea selection near the reception. Pool area is very good and has an amazing view.

I would normally give a 4 star based on my review above. This hotel, however, has something that you would not expect from a 1 star hotel. They charge 5$ for each post item you receive. This is the very first time, anywhere around the world, I experienced this. when I queried the hotel staff why is there a postal charge, they said it was due to their small post room that they had to charge this fee. This is in the context of the hotel owns a 40+ floor building.

For an Epic Hotel, there is always something tiny.

Stayed at the Epic and loved the hotel. The location is amazing, the service was more than great, and the ameneties are wonderful. The pool area has a wonderful view of downtown Miami and South Beach and both restaurants (Zuma & Area 31) are really good.

Friendly staff. Nice hotel with a great pool. Unfortunately the pool was only open in the weekend because of maintenance. Not easy to find that on their website. When maintenance is over they are worth 5 stars.

I had a very poor experience with checking in and gaining access to my room. It took 45 minutes to get into the parking lot, and the valets were rude , yelled and threw people's belongings around like garbage. This part of the experience was terrible. The room itself was beautiful. The hotel staff and their apologies and attention to detail were remarkable. I will say however, as I had to wait until my room was ready, I was told to enjoy a drink at the outside bar/restaurant. I went to the bar/restaurant and was refused entry by a surly waiter because of my attire (I had on shorts and a polo). The reason, sneeringly provided, was that a strictly-enforced dress code was in place. The staff at the restaurant acted as if I were homeless. It was ridiculous. So I sat, in the lobby, and fumed, for an hour until my room was ready. I made sure to stop down on my way out in my suit for work the next day to remind the staff that I would not be able to join them for dinner, since I had made reservations at a restaurant which would be more accommodating. This mind you, is in Miami, where people wear string bikinis to the opera and flip-flops and pasties to Mass. I will never, ever return to a Kimpton property.

The name says it all. A hotel of EPIC proportions! The rooms are pricey, but if you stay on weekdays instead of weekends, you get rooms about 40% to 50% less than you would pay on a weekend. Nice ocean views and you can walk the area. Whole Foods is just a block away. Great if you are an Amazon Prime member!

The hotel is nice and all. But every time you call, or ask a question no one has the same answer. Depending on who you speak to, is the answer I would get. You charge ridiculous amounts of money up front then again when you check out. The first time I called they told me I would have to give a card for a $300.00 "hold" for my 2 nights stay. I actually get there and they end up "holding" $780.00+. (780.00 that I would NOT be able to use while in Miami.) When I called they told me I wouldn't be able to put the $300.00 "hold" towards my actual bill for the stay. Once I was there, and AFTER checking out I was told I would have been able to do that. $1400.00 for a hotel for 2 nights??? Just ridiculous! The front desk is not very accommodating and should all be trained to tell customers each the same thing!

The concierge and the checking personnel were professional and very helpful. The rooms are well designed and the shower meticulously cleaned. Alas, a coffee machine and suppers for the pool, were apparently not standard but the guest services were able to promptly deliver them to our room.
Also, add and additional 5-10 minutes to your travel time back to airport as the plaza in front of the main entrance resembles a giant traffic jam.

Super cool spot. Really nice staff. I'd give it 5 stars but the bed sheets are holding me back. My friend in another room agreed. No breathability, plastic feeling and just not comfortable overall. Other than that, highly recommend this hotel.

I stayed at this hotel end of July for a business meeting. We held a conference. It was great except the fact they decided to charge me 90 days later for about 540$ after I already paid prior to my stay in addition to having my final bill at checkout on 7/31/19. Will be reviewing with everyone. Contacted several times no return call. According to the T s & C s to their checkout policy. No charges occur after 30 days from the stay. Completely outraged.

We stayed at the Kimpton for 3 nights. Our room was in great condition and very clean. The hotel is close to restaurants and a quick taxi/uber ride to Coconut Grove and street art walls at Wynwood. The Great Bits: Staff. The Good Bits: View, location. The Bad Bits: You are staying in a business district.

The hotel and its staff are fantastic. Luca and Eduardo ensured an exceptional experience and are a credit to the Kimpton. The hotel has spectacular views overlooking the bay and is very clean. The beds are comfortable and one of the pools is heated - which is perfect for December. days. Highly recommend.

Nice clean hotel with a great camp where you can also walk downtown Miami. Big bus tour stop 1km away and a great market is also nearby.

For me but not 5 star hotel level.

Value Parking unfortunately Miami typically $ 40 a day.

Beautiful hotel with wonderful staff. Free wine during happy hour always helps too (especially since parking is $39). What I liked a lot is that this hotel is very high class - Mercedes, Bugattis and the like parked out front, but I didn't feel marginalized driving up in my little Nissan rental. They treated me very well. I'll return if I find myself in Miami again.

Great hotel on Miami. Good location because near the Bayside Mall. Miami beach is not far away either. Very correct room. We could not get access to the pool because of construction but we had tickets to another hotel in the chain next door. There is a whole food nearby. Ideal for lunch

Stayed for 3 nights. Room was lovely, modern and comfy to relax for a few days. Service was also always quite courteous. Restaurant was quite tasty as well with good service. One suggestion for improvement would to make a blocked off pedestrian path for going into the hotel as it gets a bit crazy sometimes walking in and out with everyone arriving and leaving. Overall I had a great stay.

Great location, balcony views are amazing. Beds, Bathroom, and service was amazing. Had a big Christmas tree out in the front lobby, so it was actually featured on our Christmas Card this year. Great experience and value! Side note, also has a dock that yachts pull up to! Cool place overall

Miami Down Town is a 15 - 20 min. in a fabulous location. It's a delightful place with its Zuma restaurant, although it's hard to find unique architecture, scenery and location on the banks of one of the hundreds of canals in the city.

I went to the bar at the Epic hotel called Area 31. I visit Area 31 frequently for happy hour, I have always had great experiences at this establishment. The bar has great atmosphere and views, I highly recommend this bar for anyone visiting the Downtown/Brickell area.

I reserved this hotel instead of other because it says it's smoke free. Don't fall for the trap, people are smoking on the pool all the time. There are children at the pool and nobody cares, they are smoking these Cuban cigars while swimming around. Yes inside the pool. Horrible. Trying to get a refund, let's see. Didn't came in vacation to not be able to breathe...

The hotel very beautiful, has a good view of the bay. The attention in the restaurant very good! And what I liked most was that they knew how to give solutions and alternatives for the use of the pool, since they were under construction ... but we could go to the pool of other hotels or to the pool / beach of the other Hotel EPIC KIMPTON that is in SOUTH BEACH

Visited for a wedding from out of town. While I'm not one for dense urban areas, especially Miami, the amenities were well designed, clean, and the service was above average. Everyone was helpful and accommodating. Valet only is troubling, but that is a personal preference. I can't say it's inexpensive, but that goes without saying.

Really shutdown down due to covid. Didn't have the suite we booked and supplemented with something much smaller. When I asked about it they tried to hide the fact that it wasn't different. We left after one day. Impossible to get a refund for the second day as well even though they told me it wouldn't be
