I loved going to The Deep. There is on-site (paid) parking by the waterfront. I have a carer, so she went for free, which I thought was a nice inovation. There is a good size cafe, which is not too expensive, and has a nice range and of food.
The experience was great - informative, with great aquariums, and lots of variety.
We spent a good 4 hours there, and I would recommend for anyone interested in the sea, either Individuals or families.

A great visitor attraction and educational. Well laid out and interesting displays. Plenty of parking (paid not free) and enough eating places. Staff friendly. Bit tiring with lots of walking and coffees a bit average.

I like looking at the fish sharks ect and the glass lift and the cheeky penguins. However the gadgets that they have scattered around work and don't so it's not letting you learn about the fish and ect. I was happy when they brought new things to check out there would let you see star fish and ect and pick them up. However the people that show you this will not open the tanks because the lady told me she didn't have the right keys to open the last few tanks.

Not the first time we've come here and it'll never be the last. It's a great day out for anyone no matter what. We used the day plus passes we purchased 7 months ago to come in for free and found they'd added new features! New games and new fish. We had a fantastic time. We'd come during school hours so it was pretty quiet and we still managed to spend 2 hours here. Perfect day, friendly staff, never disappointing.

A most interesting place, fantastice for my grandchildren, amazed by what they saw and interaction. A member of staff (the one with an Irish accent) made sure we were well informed about everything, and things to do. A big thank you to him for his attention

Made the mistake of going in half term, so was busy (mainly a problem to get in, wasn't bad when in there)
Lovely experience, staff super friendly and chatty. The penguins gave an amazing show so to speak (they didn't put on a show they where just doing their thing). Loved it

Been here twice, great day out for families or friends -was something to do, my favourite part was the bit where the walls are really cold. Also has a large canteen kind of area and decent variety of nice food. Gift shop has lots of stuff too

Amazing. Truly one of the most amazing attractions I've been to.

We dropped into the parent child session that gets you entry before opening. Kirk enjoyed the songs, jumping around like a loon and meeting a few other toddlers.

The deep started Kirk's obsession with fish. He was fascinated as he gazed into every tank. Calling out 'blub blub' as he checked out the fish. From my perspective I was really happy that most of the tanks had windows down to the floor. That meant Kirk could stand on his own feet and I didn't have to keep picking him up.

The main tank is enormous. Sharks and turtles. A couple of big windows, a tunnel and a lift. It's super cool.

Blooming cool.

It's ok. Definitely not worth the hype in my opinion. I have been to other aquarium's/sea life centres that I have preferred. It is very open and therefore incredibly echoey especially when there are 2 school trips present- the noise level was ridiculous. We couldn't hear ourselves think, let alone talk to eachother. We were disappointed with the viewing areas for the penguins and were expecting a much bigger/longer tunnel. The glass lift was a nice touch though.

We visited on Saturday , it was beautiful and easily view-able even on a busy Saturday .The whole place is just amazing and there is a lot to see. There were lots of exhibits & sea creatures that we hadn't seen before. Kids enjoyed lot . It took around 2.5 hours to complete the visit .

Fab place, loads to see and do. We went at a quiet time and I imagine there might be quite a bit of queing for the lifts into and out of the exhibition at peak times. Beautiful coral reef and stunning main tank but the smaller things are great as well. We loved the jellyfish.

Nice idea, but much too small aquariums and enclosures for the penguins.
It is made aware of plastic and garbage, but in the shop a lot of plastic toys are sold in addition to bamboo stalks and reusable cutlery, cups, etc.

Either or, decide.

Fascinating afternoon at The Deep recently.

Fascinating afternoon at The Deep recently.

Main highlight is seeing the massive main tank with many fish including sharks and rays swimming around. The glass tunnel underneath is another highlight.

Interesting to learn the origin of species and realise how little time modern fish and animals have really been around.
