The food is mediocre at best AND expensive. We returned to their restaurant with guests of ours who wanted to try it. The male staff member at the desk was extremely rude in turning away our party of 11. The man verbally ridiculed my husband when answering his question about our circumstance.

I didn t know there was a party limit. I have never been turned away from a restaurant before due to the size of my party. I would have thought that in a beach town the hostess would have mentioned that when I called to ask for a reservation. (which they do not take, by the way)

I was willing to go back for the mediocre, expensive food, but NOT to be abused by the staff.

Always great time and great food here. Never disappointed without food, frequent visitor, especially in the bnb off season because they stay open when many places is the area are closed for the winter. In the summer prepare for a longer wait on the weekends but it will be worth it.

Awful. I ordered off the early bird menu and the waitress put in the same entree under the regular menu which was twice the price and didn't come with soup or salad. Assuming the meal came with a soup, salad and desert I ordered accordingly and was eventually charged full price for all. They need to train their staff. Food wasn't good to make things worse.

We had a party of five and everyone loved their meal!
two of the people are very particular when they go to a restaurant and even they were very satisfied. It's great to take even your picky friends out for something to eat and have a great night!

It's ok, we were not impressed by the food or the service here. This was our second time because I thought the first time may have just been an off night. Not sure what all the hype is about other than the limited amount of establishments that are open year round on the barrier islands.

My wife and I were staying down the street and came in for dinner on a Friday. We had one of the crab pots, crab dip, and crab bisque shared between us. That left just enough room to split a piece of Mud Pie. Live music was better than I usually expect in a restaurant, and there was even a beer special. I would definitely visit again.

know this place, the food is okay. After a few drinks who cares. If you are driving south on 35 make a left on President one block over.
Have some eats, take a walk about town enjoy the shops.

Great place - very pleasant staff, delicious food, relaxing atmosphere. My only complaint would be it is somewhat expensive for the portions but still recommend. Expect to wait awhile during the summer.

Been eating there since late 70s..They usually have killer flounder franchaise but my last visit they substituted scrod (and did not tell me). It was fresh and tasty so I still enjoyed it. Guess they think people dont know the difference. My next visit will mention "no substitutions". Server was "out to lunch" (left a 15% tip which is low for us)

People in Lavellette are super nice, that was true of the waiter at Crabs Claw Inn. I had the fish tacos, they were OK. But the experience was tainted by a really bad odor that we couldn't identify, to me it smelled like vomit or sour milk. Not everyone smelled it, but it spoiled my appetite.

I worked for this restraunt over this last summer and I have to say it is the dirtiest most disgusting establishments I've stepped foot in. There were rats in the going back in forth. I would never subject myself to a plate at the crabs claw. The bread your eating has been on someone else's plate. The atmosphere is terrible!

I ordered mussels in red sauce with garlic bread. The mussels were miniscule and the garlic bread stale. The butter was excellent as was our waitress. Downstairs they had the music the band was really good.

What a great time! Lunch "al fresco"! Beer batter fish and chips, fried shrimp and fried clams, is what our party had for lunch. It could not have been better! The great thing is that the Crabs Claw is open all year round. Inside has a great local feel, outside during the beach season really lets you feel right at home, a block off the beach. A hit with both locals and visitors, come and enjoy a great time in this reasonably priced restaurant, where you will feel right at home!

Visting from Massachusetts...the food and service was awesome. We expected the check to be a lot more for the quality of our meals. Everything was fresh and the sauce was one of the few sauces I've ever liked that wasn't made at home.

The Crab's Claw has a wonderful bar both up and downstairs. The upstairs bar is fun - west Virginia themed. the downstairs bar can get crowded at night, especially when they have karaoke night. I love the blackend fish bites, the the buffalo calamari, and the creamy crab soup. The early bird dinner special is a STEAL!
