This is a good go to place at the Jersey shore. The food is ok but it's packed and fun. The price is high. Beer and wine are reasonable. The bar is super crowded in the summer. Go early for a table. No reservations accepted.

Food was out of this world amazing! There was a long line before we got there and even after we left! Server was very nice and the seafood was very fresh!

Food and service were great, but the true joy of our luncheon was Freddy Fingers and his piano. What a privilege and a great pleasure it was to listen to such a pianist. Like magic. Thanks for the pleasure.

This place is spot on. We only had to look like we needed something & they were on it great food but a little pricey. The wait was 35 mins. but worth it.

Not the best lunch today. Broiled shrimp, salad, cup of soup. My husband's fish combo was cold ans uncooked. Disappointed!

The fish was not fresh, the shrimp in my meal was very chewy and old. Our server was very overwhelmed and kept forgetting what we order and was a bit rude when asked for something. We were a big party and I understand trying to keep order but if someone asks for a drink while your clearing plates you shouldn't say "when I'm done" a simple yes would have been fine. The place itself was not bad just a disappointing first time. I do not see myself going there again.

Shockingly bad. Waited over an hour and the food was on par with Friendly's at best. Service was super slow, the calamari appetizer was dripping in oil and the breading was horrible and void of any seasoning. My daughter's shrimp we're flavorless as well. Honestly shocked at how poor our experience was and it was not cheap. Will not go back here and suggest you avoid it.

Oyster bun is about 5 fried oysters on toasted wonder bread with a ketchup sized dixie cup filled to the brim with canned coleslaw. -9.99$

Decided to stop in for a seafood dinner; food was outstanding and the service was even better. I don't like crab cakes...but theirs was fantastic. All around great experience - but I'd be likely to avoid the summer crowds. Personal preference. :-)

I had flounder stuffed with crab. Loved it, great service.

My family and I went for fathers day. Food was delicious and our waitress Kerri was great, but it took us 10 min for us to get our drink order in. Kerri was busy at the moment but there were 5 other servers just standing around and even looking at us, not offering to get our drinks while Kerri was running around with another big table. A little teamwork goes a long way in any place.

The food seems to be hit or miss. During the off season the food is spot on

Food is delicious, but service could be better. The only problem I have had with their food is when they microwave their blackened steak bites, but other than that food is great!

We went early around 3pm and were seated quickly. Took a little while until our server greeted us and got us drinks, food took about 45 minutes once we got to order. All in all our meal took 2.5 hours and we didnt get apps or dessert, but we were in no hurry so it wasnt a big deal. Bf had the French dip which he said was really good and I had a triple crab bucket which was good except the shrimp were super overcooked and dry and the sausage was also dry and didn't taste all that high quality. I ordered two drinks which were not very good... one was a cranberry lemonade which had no sour whatsoever (my mistake I didn't read the ingredient list but a typical hard lemonade tastes somewhat like lemonade and the sour is essential... the actual ingredients were closer to a malibu bay breeze minus the pineapple juice - with rum cranberry and sprite so it was very sugary and just tasted like coconut rum with nothing to cut that taste) and the peach daiquiri tasted like a pina colada with cranberry in it. Both drinks cost 8-9 bucks each. They weren't very strong for the price, either.... Overall it was a good experience which is why I gave it 4 stars, but I am picky since I've worked in a restaraunt and bar for several years so I guess a typical person might not notice the slight service and bar issues. It also seems to be a nice place for this area, everywhere else we ate was just okay not stellar, so I think this place is more about the beach and club/bar scene then really great food so I also took that into consideration.

We have been coming to the crab claw for many years. This visit the food was tasteless, the portions were considerably smaller and we were rushed out the door.

Great food and atmosphere and close enough for entertainment in Sea Side Heights for a fun night.

Everything was wonderful! We had the coconut shrimp tacos as an appetizer and shared the old bay steamer pot. It was lots of food and everything was excellent! Just during COVID you have to deal with paper plates blowing all of the place if it's windy! But definitely worth it!

large restraunt very casual. children friendly. from seafood to chicken fingers has every thing. large bar, area with music and dining. also in closed sunporch. ( my fav). also large dining area upstairs. always stop here when on the island.

I had the seafood pot pie. It was awesome. If you're a craft beer fan like I am you will be pleased. Go early as I'm sure once it warms up this place will be packed

Tip: Ask the inside and outside hostesses. They have different wait, and the inside was 45 min. less.

Food: The scrod didn't have taste, but the shrimp scampi and Manhattan clam chowder tasted great. Buffalo calamari was very chewy, if you like it that way.

Service: The server wasn't able to recommend anything, didn't bring one of the baked potatoes, brought a diet instead of regular drinks. However, she was very attentive and pleasant.

Interior & Exterior: Shorter crooked ceilings, bland decorations, and a 'homey' feel too it.

This was a nice place. Food was fresh a little expensive but I guess that s to be expected at a vacation spot. It seems to get busier and busier as the night goes on so I d suggest getting in early!

Due to a 45 minute wait time unfortunately did not stay for dinner. At 7pm on Sunday they were very busy and I was too hungry to wait.

Seemed like a tourist trapped. Charged us more for asking for no ice in out sangria. Food was disgusting

Delicious Food, from apps to dessert. Very busy but service was perfect. We waited a bit at the upstairs bar where we had coconut shrimp and stuffed. Everything was delicious. Main course was the Cedar plank Salmon, superbly cooked and my husband had the seafood combo over linguini . Perfect potions, Enjoyed every moment.

Service was wonderful!! Even more than that it was one of the best seafood dinners I have ever had and my husband agrees!! Don't miss out on this place!!

I love the food and the people are always nice to us. It's one of the main things I look forward to when coming down here for vacation and I'm never disappointed when coming here. Very busy and long waits sometimes though if you don't come for the early bird special.

Went to see the band American Hawk and had a good time dancing. It was crowded which is to be expected on a Saturday night at the shore during the summer.

This is a place I have been to over many years-like 40! The food and service is always friendly and good. It is THE place to go in Lavallette.
