Food here is so delicious. Always great atmosphere and always have live music which is very nice. The staff is nice but a little slow. The only thing that I don't understand is a small piece of cheesecake was $7 which is absolutely ridiculous. It was great cheesecake just very overprised.

My husband and I decided to support our local economy during Covid and went to the Crab Claw Inn for lunch.I ordered the coconut shrimp and he had the prime rib.My shrimp were medium size ,at best, and were over cooked ,and were like rubber. No taste at all.My husband's prime rib had issues too. This was our first and will be our last vist to the Crab Claw Inn.

I don't live in the area but often stop in when I am. It is consistently on point with food and drinks. Large lively bar downstairs with bartenders that are attentive and make a good cocktail. There are many tables downstairs and also a dining area upstairs. Definitely a go-to place whether going solo, with friends or family. Kid friendly as well.

Pretty good find. Great environment and service (we had live music), the food was very tasty from the appetizer to the drinks to the sides and entree, and the price was what you would expect for a nice seafood dinner ($50-100).

I got screwed over - I ordered the Triple Crab Steamer Pot but 2 of the 3 crab clusters I got only had 2 legs on them; my fault for not speaking up.

Other than that little hiccup, my girlfriend and I were pleased with our find. I would go back. Just make sure you speak up to get your moneys worth ;)

I called on my husband's 40th birthday and inquired about reservations. I was told first come first serve and I could leave my name with the hostess. When we got there it was almost 2 hour wait time. It would have been nice to have been told!

I have been here for drinks before the pandemic and it was great ! We had a 2 hour wait for outside seating:( my ahi tuna was over cooked and my kids burger was raw . Not worth the price !

This place is a very popular shore spot. The problem is that they know it and it comes across loud and clear from the old lady hostess/manager who can barely contain her attitude. How dare these patrons expect to be seated within a reasonable time frame. That being said, place is very cozy if you go, get the grouper dish. It's absolutely spectacular and it almost makes up for the pompous attitude from Gertrude the Gatekeeper

This is a "happinin" place! The bar was filled with happy people and the restaurant was busy... I took that as a sign that their food was good... and I was right. Dinner was delicious! Plus there was no wait to get a table. Friday night is prime rib night.

The absolute worst experience. Although I ve been eating all over the shore for the past month while on vacation I have never had this issue. I am paying for a $30 dinner and they want to serve it to me on paper plates due to Covid. Low class and trashy. All other restaurants are serving on regular plates but the Crabs Claw states that this is want the state has told them to do. Ridiculous! I guess they don t have a dishwasher. Not worth my time or money.

The service was very good. The food was not. My baked potato was barely warm and very dry, like it was from the day before. We both had scallops. Mine were broiled and okay. My wife's were Newberg and very sandy.
I feel a restaurant of this caliber should do much bettrr.

At first the food tasted good and a large selection but was barely warm. Was cold in by the time we sat down. We went for New Years brunch at $22 a person . My son barely ate 3/4 of a waffle and I was sick to my stomach the rest of the day. I actually had to drink alka seltzer to help my stomach. The mimosas were so watered down looked like water with lemon. Terrible. Will never do brunch again. Staff was great. Regular site down meals in past were great.
Was very disappointed as was the whole Family.

We had dinner here and the food terrible. Grilled chicken sandwich chicken was over cooked, dry and tasteless and hard roll was hard and stale. I had not been there in quite a while and as a local will never go back.

Food was AMAZING !!!!

Food was AMAZING !!!!
Bar type atmosphere but still very nice. Service was excellent . Price point high but worth it for quality and quantity. This was our first time and I was really impressed!

I had not eaten here in years but decided to try it on this very busy and hot Saturday night in the summer. I had the cream of crab soup and the Firecracker Chicken with linguine and both were very good.

The service was wonderful. The food was not. Long wait time.

Long wait time.
Food quality was terrible for the price.
Shrimp cocktail was 10$ for 5 small overcooked shrimps.
My crab in the crab boil was dry. The only good thing was the potatoes.

Tip: Ask the inside and outside hostesses. They have different wait, and the inside was 45 min. less.

Food: The scrod didn't have taste, but the shrimp scampi and Manhattan clam chowder tasted great. Buffalo calamari was very chewy, if you like it that way.

Service: The server wasn't able to recommend anything, didn't bring one of the baked potatoes, brought a diet instead of regular drinks. However, she was very attentive and pleasant.

Interior & Exterior: Shorter crooked ceilings, bland decorations, and a 'homey' feel too it.

The Crabs Claw is a can't miss, always a good time kind of place. The staff is extremely friendly and often go out of their way to make sure you're enjoying yourself. The drinks are strong and the food never disappoints!

Was there last weekend, service was super slow. Each drink was a different color and strength. Coconut Shrimp appy was over fried, 5 of them $16.99. Crab dip was tasteless. Even the Mozzarella was over fried and the cheese was oozing out of it. I just thought it was super overpriced for the quality of the food and the service we received. And our waiter was a little sloppy and had his hands on the glasses where we drink at, by where your lips are on the glass. Kind of gross given the current pandemic.

A nice place to visit for a seafood meal or drinks. Tends to be very busy. Host staff on day of visit was not well organized. However food was reasonable. Would consider location to be casual dining, typical shore food, summer staff. May experiance longer wait than needed and main dining room tended to be noisy.
