Room was dirty, air conditioner did not work, if you want internet expect to pay for it, and pay for everything extra, not at all impressed. People were rude. Not going back.

Very enjoyable stay very clean very nice great views from both rooms had a few small issues spoke to the staff and they very quickly took care of it the pool area is really nice there's a little bar there we can get some snacks and drinks so don't forget your wallet and the work center is probably one of the best ever seen in a hotel also the top it off it seems to be one of the lowest prices and a great location of Toronto definitely can't wait to go back
Very nice hotel for familys. Good pool and waterside with great staff. Make sure your kids do the "Kids check in".
Clean rooms and great downtown location. Free wifi in the lobby and friendly staff. Lots of options for dining/drinks inside the hotel or within the area. Stayed here multiple times and have never been disappointed.
Went there for new year's and the level of security was very good. They provided wrist band to ensure non guest come into the hotel after 11pm!
This hotel has the best service and it's just steps from everything in Toronto from sick kids to the Eaton Centre you will always find friendly service and they also have a pool for kids and adults but I do find the price for the breakfast buffet is way to high like me and my family went and we spent $60 for three like it would be cheaper to go out for breakfast but besides that it was a vary good stay
Like others have described, the rooms feel somewhat small and could use a design update. Staff is friendly and always present. When we stayed there one of the two elevators that could take us to our room was out of order for most of the stay, which was pretty inconvenient (they are pretty slow already). For the price though, the location cannot be beat. A quick walk to the Eaton Centre - which is all you need to get to most places in the city!
Hotel is nice and I like the pool up to with a great view. But they did not have my room ready until almost 4. After a long day of travel that extra hour is rough sitting in the lobby waiting.
This is my favorite hotel i only had amazing things to say about this place till tonight I have 3 kids that attend sick kids my son has a major surgery coming up in may I may need a hotel for 3 night this hotel I give so much buissness to the chealsea I just spoke to a guy that told me in may there are no sick kids rates that this hotel in may that it doesn't do this all the time yet I've been doing this for 3 years he quoted me at 400 a night for 3 nights I normally pay 150 sick kids rate a night what got me upset was that he said this hotel is a money making hotel we would loose money you staying here for 3 nights i am so discouraged my son need 3 surgeries on his eye this is my favorite hotel I can't afford 1200 I stay here all the time this guy totally bummed my hole night out telling a customer it's a money making hotel says alot to me.
Location was great for someone visiting Toronto. Lots of shops and restaurants within a short walk. Rooms were clean and well kept. Staff was friendly. Only down side was checking in at 1am they only had one person on the front desk and with a line up of 4 groups it took over 30 minutes to get checked in and get our room keys. Check out was fast and took less than 5 min. Lots of staff avalable during the day
The rooms were nice and the front desk was helpful.
The hotel reservation Clerk at the 1-800 telephone number assured me there was a free continental breakfast. Instead my wife and I were charged $53 total for two continental breakfasts. I m rating the stay 2 out of 5 for the broken promise from the reservation clerk
We spent weekend of march break with the kids, and they had a ball! The hotel had lots of activities for kids of all ages, plus a huge water slid that will make your kids tired. The staff were all fantastic and seemed devoted to make the kids have fun. The rooms could use a little fixing up but over all the hotel is nice and clean. The adult section on the top floor of the hotel is very nice. Great view of CN tower from the hot tub or pool, and sauna is also a nice treat. We have stated many time at Chelsea with and without kids and we will be back.
Thanks The Weatheralls
Slowly they are renovating rooms. Some are still dated, but they are getting there! Great staff, busy place good place to stay for visiting TO or for business. Good restaurant and bar
A nice and big hotel. But sometimes has long line for check in/outs
The first time I stayed here on business I found hair in my bathroom.. Probably most horrifying thing. But price is decent and view of downtown core is nice. And the food downstairs I'd give a 3 to but the convenience is there. Second time I had a cleaner room but the balcony was absolutely disgusting.. Pigeon poop everywhere! If standing on it you had to keep your distance from the railing covered in it. Regardless of those few things. I have always had a great stay here.
Good service great quality and price, would definitely stay again!
Room was not very clean, there was stains on the fitted bed sheet, and hair in the bathroom. Also had the wallpaper falling off the wall in the bathroom. Room service was very tasty and quick though.
The hotel location is right downtown Toronto. It's close to everything. Rooms are a little dated but service is great. Hotel has a good restaurant and great staff. Great bar for an evening drink
It was clean. Well staffed and the staff were very friendly.
Rooms small but clean and comfortable. Nice balcony. In-room Wi-Fi very sporadic. Smoke alarm made periodic clicking sounds.
We stayed here during our time @torontogeneralhospital. They have a compassionate rate for families which gives them too marks for me. You do have to provide proof, but the rate is considerably less then full rate. We were there one the Toronto Raptors made it to the finals so it was cool to be so close to all the action. Thankfully everything went well with our hospital stay and I wanted to thank Chelsea Hotel for extending a rate that made it reasonable to stay close to my wife when she needed her family the most.
Restaurant and food court are exspensive but the food is very tasty. Older areas upstairs, rooms are fairly small. Very clean. Staff are absolutely fantastic.
The T Bar has excellent food and drink options, staff is friendly
The staff was pleasant and very helpful. Rooms were always clean and the hotel is accessible for all persons. I loved it. Will definitely visit again
Not what it used to be. The rooms are small, the hotel seems to have fallen into dissary over the years. The hotel is non-smoking upon my arrival to my floor it smelled like the entire floor was smoking. The carpets are stained. The walls are stained. I'm not quite sure what happened between now and 3 years ago, but I wouldn't stay here again, even though it's in an convenient location.
Busy city centre hotel, apparently the largest in Toronto.Staff very helpful & attentive, rooms clean and spacious. Has gym and pool on the top floor, so you can get some great views over the city. This is a city centre hotel so after a couple of weeks in northern Ontario it did appear rather noisy.
My room was disgusting. There was stains all over the headboard, carpet and tables. They had to give me a new room. The location is very good, staff is good and the restaurant was good. The room was extremely disappointing.
Nice clean hotel in a great location to explore the city. Would be good as either a business or holiday spot.
Really comfy bed. Quick check out was amazing! (They slide the bill under the door around 4am and if there aren't any problems, you can leave the key on the dresser and just go)
A decent hotel. Not the flashiest place you can stay, but the price is right. And, the staff are friendly. Also very good with large room blocks.
Great location but bring ear plugs as you can hear everything happening on the street overnight.
I absolutely love this hotel, the staff are amazing and very personal yet still professional. I always make sure to recommend this hotel to clients', guests and family members! I have stayed here for business, family outing with my kids & pleasure. Sometimes I wish they offered a few other amenities are all still close by.
Seriously, 2 stars is ok? Try below standard. 4 star hotels don't run out of hot water.
I've stayed in hotels in Flin Flon, MB that rate higher than this hotel.
It's nice, and a fake robot told us where to find water, in the lobby.
Really nice. Good cafeteria breakfast. Great location
Stayed at the Chelsea for 3 days, 2 nights for a family vacation. Nice location surrounded by different places to go to and explore. Room had a curtain that wouldn't close, but was fixed timely after we told the staff about it. Breakfast at the hotel is expensive, coming in at $25/person. Overall had a good experience at the Chelsea
Right in the heart of downtown Toronto. Clean rooms
Very friendly/ helpful staff! Clean rooms, easy to navigate LOTS of options near by for food, Eaton center is close by! Also HUGE props to the Bell staff they held my bag for an entire day while I was at a conference so I did not have to lug it around which was such a God send!
There's tons of shops and other things to do around the hotel. The rooms are nice and clean. They're a couple restaurants in the hotel, too.
Great place to stay in Toronto. Friendly staff and clean rooms.
Nice room amazing view
Very friendly staff
Can't wait to use the pool area
Hotel ok. Bit disappointed we did not have a fridge in the room. Food was expensive. Room window could do with cleaning.
Waited an extra 1h30 to get my room, only 3 elevators were available, had to wait 10 minutes to get to the 23rd floor. Sorry but the waiting time was too long, will spend extra dollars for another location. Overall it's clean and room service was excellent gave them a handsome tip.
Not clean, bed not nice even queen size was not nice. Food or breakfast is very very expensive.
Worst experience ever in an hotel. At the front desk, the employee wasn't polite. He huffed when I asked to use their phone to make a call and reminded me that it was 9pm. The room wasn't clean (walls and bedheads were stained) and there was a very strong chemical odor. I had to open the patio door for one hour before the smell was acceptable. The room was old and the beds were not comfortable. The bath wasn't clean and there was a used towel left on its side. I had a reservation for 3 nights but I left the next morning, I didn't want to stay there. When I went at the reception to check out, they told me that I should have told them that it was unclean, so then they would have refreshed the room. When I reserve a room, I don't think I need to specify that I want it clean, it is obvious.
Nice hotel at a great location. Beautiful view of the city. Well maintained place. Walking distance from Eaton Centre, Nathan Phillips Square, Yonge/Dundas Square and food stands by the Ryerson University.
Nice clean rooms, friendly staff. Kids loved the pool and bunnies ! Had a great stay. Would highly recommend this place .
The rooms were very clean and elegant. The services, such as the pool and hottub, were both very nice. I highly enjoyed my time there, would recommend!
Growing up I've always stayed at the Chelsea hotel when I've had appointments at Toronto Sick Kids. It's always clean, amazing employees, and the front desk is always there to answer questions.
1 bedroom suite was very spacious. Conference area was well taken care of, staff were friendly and helpful. My biggest difficulty was the extremely variable and slow Internet access - trying to get work completed was nearly impossible.
I had lunch as part of a holiday celebration event organized by UofT. The food was ok and staff were friendly.
It is a maze to get through this hotel. The pool is subpar. The views are non existent. It's nothing special.
Very racist reception as soon as they hear you are from India they processed group booking as one by one which took 2 hours imagine after a flight of 14 hours and 2 hours travel to downtown - other problem - original rooms booked was 10 online with confirmation the guy said we will only give 9 not even acknowledging-their own fault when asked for the manager he admitted they only have 9 rooms. Pathetic don t even bother. They are super racists.
Nice location, excellent gym, but the room felt a bit "last millenium"
Decent hotel that is HUGE! I've never seen so many people checking into a place at once. The room that we got was super tiny. Not sure if that's a downtown thing or what, but it was one of the smallest rooms I've stayed in at a hotel. I appreciated the fact there was a balcony in the room and I could go out there to look around, though there was pigeon poop on some of it so it's not like I wanted to spend hours out there. The amenities were clean, but I thought it was pretty espensive for what you got.
Waiting in line for over 30 minutes to checkin to then be given a room that wasn't cleaned from the previous occupant. Was given another room and the walls had water damaged and black marks in the bathroom tub. Nobody seemed apologetic or tried to improve our experience.
Extremely expensive for a old hotel. The rugs need to be cleaned preferably changed. The TVs are very tiny and our room 580 did not have hot water only warm. We told the front desk and was not even offered a discount or any hit was even said as to we're sorry could we get you another room nothing just oh. Way overpriced for what you get and $30 for a breakfast is Ludacris. I stopped and got two coffees and two small gelatos and it was $20. You don't mind pain when you're getting something great but this was just mediocre
Great service. ..great location and good price for being downtown Toronto for doctors appointments
Very friendly and helpful staff and the reception. The hotel is in a central location and has many amenities. Rooms are nice and cozy.
The room was clean and spacious. Service was good and food from room service was delicious.
Room was great, clean. adult pool left my clothes smelling badly. Great front desk service. Great views of downtown.
This hotel is okay, but for the price it is not a good value. The rooms are pretty mediocre, and while you're not allowed to smoke in the hotel (which was fine with me, I do not smoke), the floor I stayed on reeked of smoke - it seemed as though they hand't thoroughly cleaned it since people were allowed to smoke in it. The best thing about the hotel is the location, you're a walkable distance to just about everything.
They're also ridiculously inflexible with early check in and made me pay $75 to do early check in. The room is just going to sit there, so why not do early check in for customers when it's available? I wouldn't say don't stay here, but I also wouldn't recommend it. I prefer the Sheraton, which is cheaper and nicer.
Pros:
-Central Location
-Size of room
Cons:
-Our room wasn t ready till 2.5 hours after check-in time
-We were checking in with a massive group and there were staff standing around and not managing the check in line queues (which were in excess of 2 hours)
-Room smelled terrible
-When we arrived at our room it was just starting to be cleaned
-Possibly the most alarming con is that on two separate occasions, other people walked into our room with key access! The staff reassigned our room while we were still staying in it. Not great.
All in all it was an awful experience and I d never stay here again.
Stayed here mid-june even though the hotel was at capacity the staff was attentive and friendly. Room was clean and breakfast was appropriately priced just be mindful of the area late at night.
I loved my stay at the Chelsea Hotel in Toronto, the swimming pool and fitness areas on deck 27 are great! The T-bar is a great spot to unwind and have a drink after a long day as well.
Very nice experience. Staff is great. Restaurants are good. Rooms could use an update.
Great service and very professional, friendly and helpful. Classic Chelsea Burger is amazing!
Nice ambiance Centrally located, nice and professional staff, comfortable living.Top floor pool, inside pool for children and play area.
The place is a real dive, small and dirty rooms, poor security given location
I love this hotel, they are always very accomodating and very clean and a great location
Good hotel, good service. Rooms where abit cold tho.
Really good location and service in general. For some reason, the hall was always packed and you might need to queue up when you arrive.
Overall, disappointed with perks compared to price. I stayed for two nights with my two kids (age 2 and 5).
Positives: no fridge in our room but the front desk offered to bring us up a mini fridge which was very nice. The children's 'Check In' stairs at the front was a cute touch. My son was given a slinky upon check in.
Negatives: Very small and dated room. Furnace didn't work in our room. Waterslide hours are awful - CLOSED all week. Both kids and teen rooms were closed in the mornings. We chose this hotel because of all the kids amenities, but would say it's ONLY worth it if you plan on attending over the weekend and plan to stay in during the day, because everything is closed before/after you're touring Toronto (first thing in the morning, and later in the evening).
I loved my stay at the Chelsea. The staff is amazing. The room was really nice, with a balcony right in downtown Toronto. The beds were more than comfortable. If I had something to say it's that there were some crumbs in the corners of the drawers and we found a hair in our sheets. But stuff like this can happen in a big hotel. It is not a contemporary modern style hotel, but it's really classy nonetheless. I like the soaps they give to guests; organic natural soaps. I would come back for my next stay in Toronto.
Good hotel where my mum has stayed for 10 nights while visiting Toronto.
Breakfast was good, all you can eat buffet where there are two choices, one with fruit and the other one with bacon, eggs etc.
The hotel has a lot of life, there are always people in the lobby, many airlines use its rooms, so you can see flight attendants and pilots checking in every day
This hotel had way too many lifts. Sounds silly I know but it's not the easiest of hotels to find your way around !
Amazing service! We arrived late and had some parking issues with a friend, everything was resolved and we got a++ service! The only downer is this place seems to be incredibly popular with the really young crowd. It was incredibly noisy, but definitely worth it.
Pretty standard mid-class hotel suitable for short business trips. Nothing flashy. Restaurant and accommodations are a bit expensive for what you get. Wifi is good enough for Netflix.
It's located near the hospital district which is not exactly downtown. If you have business in the area, it's an okay option. Otherwise, you can find better for the price.
The hotel is dated, but it's a nice affordable accommodation in a great location
