This would be a four except for the room itself. The hotel ooverall was nice. Good gym and pool. Great location, we had a quick Holliday there and walked everywhere and got a great feel for Toronto. Didn't have a chance to eat there but the restaraunts looked nice. Rooms could use an update, not dirty or anything just old .

We were looking for a family getaway in Toronto. The Eaton Chelsea is dated. Bathrooms in particular need updating, including bathrooms for the pool. Very busy hotel. Strongly recommend eating off site...to avoid the absolutely abusive restaurant fees. Customer service was ok right up to the point when my daughter forgot a stuffed animal in our room; we called an hour after checkout and got zero assistance from any staff member. We won't be going back.

What is the most important part of a hotel?
The experience, so how am I to feel when I walk in the front entrance and am belittled by being told to go around a photoshoot. They have an extensive network of hallways and corridors and they chose the most important part of the hotel experience. That's all before the warped floors and hallways. One word, "Renovation." Displeased to say the least.

I came for a university event. Nothing really stood out for me. The rooms were a little small but that could have been the school trying to save the most money. There was 2 beds, and 4 people. There was barely any room to sleep on the floor. Not the greatest experience but nothing I could really do about it.

Paid over $300 for one night. No bar fridge. Upgraded to club access... Was about to go up and fire alarm went off. Waited for direction after five minutes, called front desk could not get through. Then announcement for top three floors to evacuate and everyone else stay up. Screw that. My friend who is in crutches went down 18 floors. Mass chaos. Front desk didn't give a rat's ass. Don't go.

The hotel continuea to renovate and looks great! Staff are all very courteous and professional, even at 3am. They helped me big time when my flight got cancelled and allowed me to stay an extra night for a great rate. Would stay again for sure.

I stayed at the Chelsea Hotel in mid October 2018. Really enjoyed the hotel. Positives - great adult pool and fitness area, Staff is very friendly and helpful, room was clean. Negatives - our balcony was covered in pigeon poo, noisy at night because of traffic especially sirens (we kept our air conditioner going to help mask the noise). I would stay there again, but would bring ear plugs or a white noise machine.

This hotel is ok. It s clean and I really liked the pool/hot tub area. That said, check in was a bit slow and there are no USB ports in the room (even on the tv) and when I asked if they had a wall port they could lend me, they suggested I go buy one. They have a cafeteria type area that is open until about 11pm? A slice of cake was $12 It was dry. I will say it was a reasonable walk to the mall and theatre, and a cab ride back was $8. Overall it was adequate.

Booked the hotel because it was the lowest price on Travelocity, close to amenities, and therefore convenient.

Picture did not match the room description.

Breakfast very expensive, not clear how much anything costs.

Elevators to parking were dirty. Guest's hair dryer didn't work. Wifi quality was poor.

Only gave two towels.

Value wasn't there after the breakfast and high cost of parking. Cheaper to stay outside the city and park for the day.

Very good stay , friendly staff only complaint is that they knew that there was 2 people in the room but only provided 1 complimentary bottle of water and the TV reception was not very good. Other than that very good the complimentary breakfast in the club room was fantastic

-We booked a non-smoking room. Our room smells of cigarette smoke.
-There was hair in the tub and on the towels.
-The water shut off and when the front desk was contact by both the room phone and using a cell phone there was no answer.

Don t stay here it is a disaster. 100% do not recommend.

The line at front desk was unbearably long. Pack your patience if you've had a long day of travel and just want to get to your room to relax. Rooms were a bit dusty, walls were quite thin; heard my neighbor talking and opening the patio door constantly. Seems like a party hotel, many people have booze, remnants in my room (leftover streamers) and loud music and voices at all hours. Staff who delivered room service were fantastic and very friendly. Great location.

Im in toronto at the sick kids hospital because my 12 year old is having a heart proceedure for her heart condition, and the chelsie hotel offered me a pull out couch for 199.00. They said because #princeharry was in town, they were not giving the usual discount to people who were clients of the sick kids hospital anymore till after the #invictusgames were over. Thanks prince harry... I had to sleep in my car...

Stayed one night at the Chelsea while in town for medical appointments. The location was ideal as it was a 10 min walk to the hospital and the front desk staff was very friendly upon check in. Unfortunately, their parking garage has a clearance height of 5'5" which our vehicle exceeded. We decided to use the valet parking instead ($46/night). Rooms were very basic. An electric kettle and instant coffee or tea is provided. There is no bar fridge and the bathroom is rather small despite the rest of the room being a decent size. The bed was not the most comfortable I've ever slept in (woke up with back pain) and it was difficult to get comfortable enough to fall asleep. As we were getting ready to leave, we had moved one of the armchairs slightly and found a toenail stuck in the carpet. It would seem the furniture doesn't get moved to clean underneath it. It makes me question how clean the bed was that we'd just slept in. When checking out, the staff was very professional but I wouldn't say friendly. I'm glad we booked through a discount site as I'd be more upset if we paid full price.

My family stayed here in August...
rooms are small and clean-ish but the building is old..elevators are slow...check in is also VERY slow...long line ups to check in even late at night.

No fridge in the rooms...and the breakfast that is included is underwhelming for the price point-they could have paid more for some eggs but opted not to.
Its close the subway..which is a plus.

First time staying at the hotel. It was a very busy weekend in Toronto however i was still disappointed with the hotel. The staff were all helpful and friendly but when we arrived we were "upgraded" from our room with a queen bed to a room with two doubles. It was a very busy weekend and they only had 1/3 elevators running for our section so it took very long to get up to our floor. The room had finger prints on the mirrors, long hair on the bathroom floor and the complimentary coffee was used and not restocked. Also the hotel needs to do something about the taxis blocking the entrances to the parking garage. I was forced to drive around the block 4 times before i could enter the garage.

*My Wife had the worst experience with the Front Desk Staff at the Eaton Chelsea*
Here is her story.

As a warning to other families who have 4 or more children and/or older children who are old enough to have their own room. Do not book at this Toronto Hotel. I was rudely told today that I could not be assured that my rooms would be together. You cannot even politely ask for a note on your file for when you arrive to have rooms side by side. Even at the "Largest Hotel in Canada" You cannot be told you will have two rooms together, even if you booked them under the same name at the same time. I was rudely told that under no circumstance would they help me reserve two rooms side by side. I am a bit in shock and upset with how I was treated today. I understand Policy, infact I write policy and guidelines, but I also understand customer service. I am sad to say, I had to cancel my reservation, along with this, I had to cancel my Daughter's "Water Slide" Birthday party the day before the Party. I could not stay at a hotel that would not accommodate my family of 5 girls!

To say this was a bit emotional is an understatement. And to top it all off, the hotel desk staff lied to management and said I was offered two rooms together - Now - would I really be that unreasonable to not be happy with that? +Eaton Chelsea, Toronto you better rethink your Social Media Campaign for March Break - as my family did not have a "Family Blast" more like a "Family Disaster" #Toronto #parenting #marchbreak #birthdayparty

Best beds ever. I get the best sleep here. Amazing service, beautiful, very central location, and an amazing pool.

The gift shop isn't wildly overpriced like a lot of hotels, which is nice.

A huge hotel, and a bit complicated to navigate, but the staff were friendly and helpful. Our room, though a bit dated, was clean and comfortable, the bed especially so. We took advantage of the underground parking (not cheap, but typical Toronto) and the concierge to book things for us. Great location for activities in downtown Toronto. We would be happy to stay there again.

The hotel is very run down. The room, the pool are very outdated and they clearly have not spent the money to upgrade facilities at all. The carpet in our room was so dirty that both my kids feet were filthy and I had to wash their feet before getting into bed. The person at the front offered us a kitchenette for $35 more. But staying here for two nights is costing me $800 and I m regretting the option for the upgraded room. Definitely not a four star hotel. It s comparable to a motel if anything. The bathroom is so old and rusty. The only good things about the Chelsea are the central location and the robot at the lobby named CT. Will not be returning again.

Having stayed here a few times as a child, it was nice to return! The room had good amenities and a lovely view of the city. I have great memories of the waterslide in the all-ages pool, and this time I was able to visit the adult pool and gym on the top floor. Staff are consistently friendly and helpful. My only issues: The room was in a bit of disrepair (wallpaper starting to peel, cracks where the wall and ceiling meet, etc) and the food is pricy! All in all, a good place to stay if you don't mind splurging a bit.

Hotels with balconies are always wonderful, staff is quite friendly as well. The fact that they have two bars across the street and it s proximity to Yonge makes this place a hit. Although parking is not included and quite expensive.

Not the place it used to be. Shoddy temp control - stifling hot and noisy blower. Expensive breakfast self serve food disguised as "buffet" - $37 for two bowls of cereal, coffee and juice. Parking $35, seriously? Unresponsive staff, no initiative to help.
Nice lobby though.

Pleasant stay, but hallway smelled highly of smoke. Room was dated (brown shades everywhere), a bit noisy and not 100% clean. In room WiFi signal is barely usable.

Staff however was friendly, and kids play area was great and kept our 2 and 4 year old little ones entertained for a couple hours. Lobby nicely updated and restaurant very nice. Kids ate free (under 6 years old).

Expected a bit more for the price.

Had room reserved for appointment through the agency that was sending me. Hotel was apparently overbooked and they gave away my reserved room. I ended up sleeping in a board / meeting type suite on a pullout couch which was about as comfortable as it sounds. It was basically like trying to sleep on a thin mat on a metal frame. Was provided nothing but the sheets that were on the bed, and a thin seemed like wool cotton blend blanket. I inquired about bedding from a housekeeping member in the hallway, and she told me the blanket was in the closet and that was the bedding alloted for my room. Since I was I was in the city for medical treatment, I was stressed out enough having to sleep in the conditions I was, and told nothing else was available did absolutely nothing to ease my stress. If anything because I barely slept for two nights it made it worse.

For 1 thing this 4 star hotel left alot to be desired . Staff was great and location was AWESOME but the Hotel itself is less than impressive. Hallway look old and dated. And the balcony room 1283 is more alley view than anything else. Here are just a few pictures of my experience I been in nicer 2 star hotel rooms.

Stayed in a room with a city view but also partial view of the Harbour. It was beautiful! Honestly I really like being able to see the city, it really showcases the vibrance of Vancouver. I love this hotel, very considerate staff, clean rooms, and great food.

It is a very big hotel so you'll see a lot of people around at anytime.
Location is great just 5 minutes walking to Younge-Dunas square.
They are 2 restaurants inside where the food is delicious and late room service.
The gym at the roof top is not so big but a lot cardio machines and very good views.
The room was a bit tight but enough and comfortable
