The Chelsea is a gigantic hotel. It can be a bit chaotic. It's definitely in a great location but it isn't very intimate if that's what you're looking for. I appreciated the adults only pool and spa. This hotel is going through a renovation currently as well.

Good location that s why I gave it 3 stars. The toilet had something looking like blood on the seats. The towels were stained and had to be changed. The room has no refrigerator or microwave or no seats on the balcony.

Without question the WORST hotel that I have EVER stayed at. Absolutely arrogant staff, subpar room. Ya the lobby looks all shiny but that s about it. Don t be fooled. I d literally rather sleep on the street than that hotel. Such arrogant staff. Very very very poor quality service.
I d give this place a -1 star if the rating existed.
It was a disgusting experience. NEVER AGAIN

Nice place. Balconies need updating for sure. Lol. Nice rooms...super comfy beds and blankets....Any of the staff I had spoken to were great! Cheery and helpful. The Houskeepers as well do an amazing job! So a big thank you to those ladies and gents... I know how unappreciated that job can be... trust me.. :) Would love to stay here again. :)

The service and staff were great. However, the smell of marijuana smoke greeted me as I walked down the hall to my fourth-floor room, and it wafted into my room all night, as well as the smell of cigarette smoke. I had a horrible sleep as a result, and will not stay here again.

The staff is very friendly and very helpful. The hotel is right by the Eaton centre and close to many restaurants and subway. It is very convenient to stay here. However the hallways anf parking elevators need a bit of a refresh. The elevators to the rooms can be slow during busy time as not all elevators are working. I was using the blue elevators, so not sure about the other ones. But in general, it is a good hotel to stay at.

We traveled to Toronto for a concert and we had no idea were to stay in the city that would give us good service and access to just walk around and enjoy ourselves. Chelsea Hotel met all of our needs! While a bit pricey, you get a level of service and quality that justifies it. We sincerely enjoyed our stay.

One star for the beautiful lobby, another star for the comfortable bed, final star for the late check-in convenience. Amenities were a bit lax considering it's a 4 star hotel; where were the water bottles, shower caps, toothbrush and toothpaste? Peeling wallpaper in the room took away from it's beauty. Lovely view from the balcony. Huge inconvenience from the elevators, takes 10-15 minutes to get to you, despite having 6 operational elevators.

Our initial room had no hot water, we were given upgraded room as compensation however it required waiting in line over 30mins total. The room was very clean and nice and service people were very nice as well. Parking underground is confusing.

Excellent location. Shopping and restaurants are all within a walk. Staff are amazing and very attentive to the needs of your stay. Rooms are clean and the views on higher floors are quite nice. Can not say enough good things about this stay. I will keep the Chelsea on my list of excellent places to stay in Toronto .

I thought I had stayed in nice hotels in the past, but this one is over and above the rest! From the rooms to the check in (and out) process and any staff we encountered along the way. They really made me want to come back again!

Room was decent. Elevators were very slow, but its understandable due to the high volume of competitiora staying there for the NACS culture show competition. I lost my key card but they were quick to replace it. Overall good experience.

My stay was mostly satisfactory, although I really would have preferred it if the bathtub drain had not been so slow. The room was spacious enough, with a balcony. The balcony would of course have been nicer if the view was better.

The hotel itself was decent, but the Wifi internet connection was slow and couldn't stream HD video without it lagging. Plus the TV was really small for an upgraded suite. Should have been better given the price.

The rooms were fine, the location is very good. There was a fair bit of confusion when checking in (part of a larger group) that delayed us getting into our room, and throughout our stay, the key cards would continually not work and we would have to go and replace them. It's a very busy, and very large hotel, so there is a lot of different people and a LOT of people hustling about; they may be a good thing or a bad thing, depending on your preference. I liked that, and I liked the location, but for the price of the hotel, the stay could have been a little better.

Good location, super nice staff, excitingly diverse patrons, great in-house dining options, etc. The room leaves something to be desired (think Doubletree), but everything else is lovely and Toronto is great, so you won't spend much time in the room anyway.

They get an average score due to the nature of the room. It had a musk smell and furniture was rather old. I was there for business but they provided an older room close to the ground floor. I do agree that they had a great gym and pool to look at the city. My colleague had a rather better experience that provided some snacks and higher floor.

Check in was great and very fast. The rooms are great as they are quite decent in size. The beds were comfy and the TV is Ok. They have room service if you want, I belive there is also a swimming pool. Soap and shampoo is provided in the room and they smell quite nice. The hotel is very clean and the location is quite nice too as you can easily go get food or travel if you want to.

Attentive and helpful staff, clean hotel, although the walls were paper thin, and the city of Toronto sanitation garbage trucks were out at full force at 5:00am, this is of no fault of the hotel

The hotel is fine, check in was smooth and fast. Nice room, clean and organized. Complimentary internet simple to connect and fast. The staff was really attentive and helpful with any requests I had. The surroundings offer good food options (I did not look for anything fancy). I did not have chance to use to service or any amenities in the hotel.

I am writing this from the hotel. This was my go-to hotel when it was a Delta but much has changed (for the worse). Parking costs $34/night, and this information is not well-publicized, so be warned. If you like a light breakfast prepare More

Ahhh The Chelsea Hotel. The Staff were very good. The rooms seemed dated with no mini fridge to store your water etc. Instant coffee in room, why bother then???? They have a pool which is a plus and location is perfect walking distance to most of what you need.

Had a few minor issues but talked to the manager gary and he took action and was truely sorry we experienced anything. And it was minimum and nothing to do with service as every person including the manager were top knotch and friendly. We are in tough times and it takes patience and understanding from both parties. So yes i reccomend and will be revisiting the chelsea hotel again.

Terrible concierge service. Sorry this will be lon...

Terrible concierge service. Sorry this will be long but I have to explain why the concierge service deserves an F.

It was late Saturday night when my wife discovered her laptop s touchpad wasn t working properly and she needed to borrow a mouse for first thing Sunday morning for just a few hours (she needed her laptop for a meeting which started before stores opened). She went down to see the concierge whose first response was that there was nothing she (the concierge) could do. My wife asked if perhaps there was a computer somewhere in the hotel that wouldn t be used by staff Sunday morning and she could possibly borrow that mouse and my wife would be so very grateful. Answer: No. My wife pointed to the bank of computers and mice for use by guests and asked: Does the hotel not have any backup mice so that when a mouse over there breaks you can replace it? Answer: Our IT department would know but they are closed until Monday. Is there nobody who you can call, like a manager, who has access to the IT department and can see if there is an extra mouse somewhere? Answer: No. My wife kept coming up with possibilities for where in the hotel there might be a mouse she could borrow for a few hours Sunday morning. My wife asked if the concierge had any suggestions. Answer: No. Did the concierge know of any store that was open late on a Saturday night that might sell mice? Answer: No. The only thing the Chelsea concierge did was to eventually call housekeeping to see if housekeeping had a mouse.

When my wife got back to her room she called a 24-hour Shoppers Drug Mart a few blocks away and the gentleman who answered the phone was very helpful and spent far more time, and put far more effort into, trying to help my wife than the concierge had.

I know a concierge here in Ottawa and when I told him about my wife s experience he was shocked, dismayed and had a lot of suggestions for what the concierge should have done and said that there was absolutely a mouse somewhere in that hotel that could have been lent to my wife (he went through several options of where the concierge could have found a mouse including many that my wife had suggested to the Chelsea s concierge). He also couldn t believe that a concierge was so unwilling to offer any help and had sent my wife off without having shown any concern about her predicament.

I know we re not in a movie where the concierge works miracles but to have a concierge who showed no interest in finding a solution to a guest s problem was astounding. This experience reminded us of some of the amazing staff we ve run into at other hotels and wondered why Chelsea would be okay with providing such deplorable concierge service.

Visited a business associate in the lobby. While waiting, saw that it was a busy place with lots of places for sitting. Noticed that staff welcomed and attended to waiting guests who were checking in or out. Nice touch. Not sure of the rooms though. I hope the nice touch is reflected there.

It was nothing special- a comfortable stay in a common hotel. You pay premium for the area, which is just a few blocks from the Eatons Center. If being downtown is important to you, the convienience of this hotel would be worth the price.
