Very good experience love the balcony will The View
Room wasn't as nice as the photos. It was kind of over priced
Clean. Easy to find. Staff very friendly and helpful
Clean rooms, perfect location, but it's always very very busy.
With a great staff and fun amenities you will find good times here at the Chelsea. Located minutes away from Dundas Square you will find everything you need here. from the weary traveler to family looking for a enjoyable getaway. A great time will always be had here. Oh along with pools and gyms and game centres. Don't forget to check put the 27th floor to see a great view of the city
I wish i could give this hotel ZERO star. This hotel was way far from our expectations. The rooms are way more smaller and very old (looks like this hotel never got any renovation done) you r paying big bucks for small rooms and no view at all.
We left a kid bagpack in hotel. We felt like noone wanted to help us finding it. It was calling around different departments at different times and still couldn t find it.
WORST HOTEL EVER
Went here for a work event. Was very nice and food was good. A decent variety.
The hotel was nice and I didn't have any problems with it but the rooms were nothing special and were quite pricey. I had a balcony (I don't know if every room did) which was really nice, the beds were comfy, and I believe there was central air but you are definitely paying for the location; close to two subway stations, a couple of theatres, plenty of stores as well as being essentially next door to the Eaton centre. So, all-in-all, the hotel was nothing special, though clean and comfortable, but you are definitely paying for the location
The standard rooms are somewhat run down, especially given the price. Bedsheets have booked in them, and the duvets are an off yellow in the middle (eww). The waterslide is pretty cute though!
A very good hotel in a great location. The staff is very friendly and they have this nice service where young kids can check in by taking a prize out of a treasure chest. The rooms are very clean and the bathrooms are very clean. The carpets could use an upgrade though. The kids centre with the pool, arcade and playroom is very nice. The restaurant on the main floor is very nice albeit somewhat pricy. There is lots to eat in the local area. You can't beat the location though. It is close to downtown and the Eaton Centre. I will stay here again.
Location is ok. But Fitness closed (aparantly due to Covid) already seven months. Rooms old. Actually very old. Dirty smelly carpets. No fridge in the room. Definitely no 4 star Hotel. Would not recommand to stay here.
Nice hotel. Amazing location. Great size rooms. But staff need to be friendly, and rooms need to be redecorated
One of best Hotel in Toronto for IS location. but the customers service need more people
A good room with good service. There aren't really any frills with this, but the room was great and functional and provided a great weekend getaway for us. Certainly would stay here again.
Nice downtown hotel. Good location, excess to shopping and Subway
A grand hotel in the heart of the downtown's hospital district. The Chelsea is one of the very few hotels offering balconies and a good rooftop view. The doormen and desk service are helpful and friendly. The rooms need microwaves, fridges and an on-screen TV guide. Try to avoid the Gerrard Street side...it's non-stop ambulances and loud music from the patio restaurants across the street.
Rooms are normal but location is great, downtown close to most turistic places.
Family suite is really nice and kid friendly. Staff very friendly and accomodating. Food selection is okay but nothing special.
Very clean. Decent food options.. little pricey but being in the heart of Toronto it can be expected
Staff are nice, room service is fast and resonably priced and rooms are clean. Two separate swimming pools, one for families and one for 18+. The 18+ pool has a fitness centre and the family pool has a waterslide. Great spot for business meeting or family vacation.
The location of the hotel was great, central and near public transportation. The lobby was clean, and the doormen were smartly dressed.
We stayed there for 4 nights during the ice storm when the power in the city was off. The staff were stretched but always helpful and courteous. The food in the Market was about 3 stars, more or less cafeteria/ fast/ food. The room decor was rather tired, the carpet was shabby, the bathroom fan just roared, and the light in the bathroom could not be turned on without the fan. The beds were very comfortable. The ventilation system blew near the head of the person sleeping closest to it. The room tv was analogue and received very few channels.
It was a welcome but imperfect sanctuary
We came for a murder mystery here and it was beautiful and very clean
Great location friendly staff. We had a little balcony. You can go outside
Our stay was terrible. We paid more for a "deluxe" room which was supposed to be one step below the best rooms in the hotel to celebrate our recent engagement. Our room was small and had three nails sticking out of the wall. We ordered room service and when informing the hotel of how unhappy we were with our wine, had to wait over 45 minutes for them to come and take it away. Ended up leaving at 130am and just driving home to stay in our own bed. Thanks Chelsea for ruining what was supposed to be a celebration. Worst. Stay. Ever.
My room is dirty facial and kupic hair on the bathroom floor and on the bathroom door
No fridge on room to loud noises from outside and no beautiful noise
Stayed here two nights. Last night staying here there was a loud elevator noise from people going up and down all night till 4am. Staff was not accommodating at all with this. The valet gentlemen for our parking was the one who actually did something he got our parking charge taken off which was very kind of him. The staff at the counter wouldn't do anything for our room even though my mom didn't sleep at all because of the elevator. The rooms where clean though. Average beds and stay accommodations. No complimentary continental breakfast. Also the building is very run down and outdated. In the main entry by the front desk the ceiling had a badly patched hole from what looked like a water leak. We stayed on the top floor facing the falls. I recommend staying on the top floor as the other rooms below aren't nearly as nice.
Had a blast at the swimming pool. Great water slide!
Location is the only good thing. It took 4 hours for me to get my towels, and breakfast for two costs up to to 70CAD
I was here for christmas party..its okay nothing special. Food was just okay.
No issues. Decent location with pretty good views. Rooms weren't falling apart or bad at all.
Great hotel. Staff and room was wonderful. Lots jf boutique dining in the area as well as great shopping
Ok, nothing more. Expensive considering how dated and run down the rooms are...rooms definitely need renovations... In particular the bathroom was aged and didn't even have a fan.
great location near shopping and entertainment. Usually pretty reasonable prices and comfortable rooms. Check out the out side court yard in spring and summer. Check pricing against the hotel website as it often offers great discounts plus CAA/AAA discount. Parking is expensive but more convenient than outdoor lots in the area with in/out privileges.
Clean modern rooms. Friendly check in/out staff. Not happy with extra fee for double beds. Never heard of that before.
Lots of parking spot (underground) good looking lobby. But beware of the the damage deposit. They tell you about it when you check in and their debit machine won't take certain cards ....
Nice hotel, clean room. Great location for exploring but need to be careful of what entrance you use at night as one of them has lots of people hanging around making you feel unsafe.
Room was nice and the price was fair but the rooms need better sound insulation. Street noise and hall noise made for a rough night's sleep
I stayed here three days during and business trip into the city. The facility was clean, safe, housekeeping helpful, and staff courteous. There was lots of parking below in garage. While I thought a bit pricy, it was convenient. I would recommend this hotel through our next visit into the city. I did not get a chance to eat at their facility however it looked busy and patrons where enjoying themselves. You will like this establishment.
Comfortable atmosphere with helpful employees. My stay was a quality experience
Great place to stay and close to everything downtown affordable aswell. My room did not have a fridge but you can request a room with one. Definetly will stay again.
Good location for families. The children's play area was perfect for me 2.5 year old daughter. We had an issue with other guests smoking on our floor (both cigarettes and marijuana) which was more of a concern since we had our children with us.
I attended a conference at the hotel and we were on the second floor. The venue was very spacious, clean, and nicely decorated. The food served was delicious!
Location is good...close to downtown and other areas of interest in the city, including hospitals and universities. Customer service has always been great in my three stays at this hotel. The deluxe and kitchenette suite rooms are not very modern but still clean. I assume the club rooms are more nicely decorated.
We had a WONDERFUL stay at the Chelsea Hotel. Clean room, staff were friendly and its a great location. Would stay here again.
Horrible place and expensive. All derty and not friendly people at all. Look the dust from the AC vent. Look the shower. The toilet did not flush. Please do not stay there.
It s really great hotel.it has the best rooms and services. And also has a great view from rooms.
Very nice hotel. Seems clean. Our room I believe was in an older section of the hotel so it was a bit outdated.
Huge but very good. Staff efficient whilst relaxed - comfy rooms and beds. Well placed for a few nights in Toronto
Trendy. Right in the heart of everything downtown Toronto
Nit the best experience. Ensure you bring a charger. They do not offer USB plug in the rooms. Uncomfortable bed
Very nice, surely will stay again when visting Toronto
Bathroom is outdated with poor water pressure. Blankets had stains that they hid under an extra sheet. Kitchen staff aren't approachable
Friendly staff. Very helpful, clean and fantastic location!
Good service, great location, overall fairly reasonable on price.
Room wasn't bad. Pool was okay. Rooftop patio was really cool.
Very clean hotel, quick and helpful service, especially and check in and out. Only downside to the hotel would be lack of access to the parking garage via only one elevator. Making the leave a tad hectic on newyears day.
Please save your time and money. The check in is frustrating. From front desk to concierge it s nothing attitude. The parking to elevators to the rooms it s dorty, shabby, and is basically a very expensive motel. You will be disappointed. The pics online are very misleading. We wanted our time and had to find another hotel.
Elegant and upscale hotel . SUPERB customer service with lovely rooms
What amazing customer service, perfect place for a staycation perfect place if you re coming from out of town you cannot ask for a better hotel and on this one. And the staff here Tori and AJ are awesome
Enjoyed a working lunch. Appreciated the cafeteria style stations with a great variety of food. Very clean. ++ helpful staff.
Great family hotel, with plenty of options to keep the kids entertained. The rooms were clean, the staff was friendly, and the location is great.
Amazing location of the hotel, clean nice rooms. No fridge in the room, sometimes noisy neighbors.
Elevators took ages and were very sketchy. My room was right beside the elevators and they were very squeaky. The bath was not clean, which made me worry about the rest of the room. The only good thing about this place was the location.
Chelsea Hotel is a bit outdated. My room on the 18th floor looked like it's from the late 90s. Also, my room smelled of cigarettes for a non-smoking room - this may be from guests smoking on the balconies. There was no minifridge or microwave in the room. It's also worth mentioning that I was informed that Chelsea Hotel is the largest hotel in downtown Toronto. Thus, the hotel hosts many events. There were a number of events happening during my stay, making the experience rather busy and rowdy. There was a college event happening - several guests were getting hammered around the lobby and various floors. Therefore, I believe Chelsea is a party hotel. Chelsea Hotel wouldn't be my first choice, but the price was right this time around. YMMV.
Great for weddings! Had a wonderful time! Also fantastic staff - shouts out to jimmy
Room was good bathroom needed updating and toiletries there was no shower gel only soap
The room was very clean and the view was great. Great customer service.
I live in the 905 and went down town to Toronto for an evening out. Instead of driving or transit and parking and scheduling; I decided to stay the night. IT WAS LESS EXPENSIVE THAN EXPECTED. Fabulous Chelsea Hotel - elegant-clean- Downtown Central- parking-Pool!( didn't make that)- great experience.
Great experience. Rates was good, the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Great location within walking distance to all attractions. Would recommend to a friend
Nice hotel, room is comfortable, but unfortunately the windows aren't sealed very well so all the loud noises outside and from nearby Yonge St are very annoying when you're trying to sleep.
This hotel was amazing. The price was great, the service exceptional , facilities plentiful and the location in the heart of downtown near everything with most tour companies picking you up at the door. Ever time we turned around there was another hidden gem. We were starting to believe the customer experience was not important in Canadian hotels. Every time we thought to make this better they would have this service,..... and they did. Even have a laundry in the pool area to use. What tops my day is that they do not even need to read this review as they formally asked us twice during our stay how they were going in meeting our expectations. Well done, please stay here.
No idea where the bad reviews are coming from. Came here with my girlfriend for a mini vacation. The prices are great, and the hotel is beautiful. The room was nice - a tiny bit smaller than a usual hotel room but still a very good size. Free WiFi was an added bonus, since my phone was roaming in Canada being from the US. The pool deck is absolutely fantastic, with an outdoor area that has great views of the buildings around you as well as an indoor pool, hot tub, fitness center, and saunas. Very relaxing and exactly what we needed to unwind. The staff were all very nice. The only negative that I can think of is the expensive parking, but it is not hard at all to find cheaper parking in the area.
Good huge hotel a bit anonymus.lobby crowded with groups.looks like airport terminal.breakfast not included in the crowded cafeteria downstairs.rooms large and confortable
I stay at this hotel when on vacation with my family and when in town on business. The hotel offers great amenities like the family and adult only pools. Always clean and very nice staff. It is also located in a great area with lots restaurants and shopping within walking distance.
Convenient, upgrade to the club level upon checking in!
Not having been to this hotel in decades, I was astonished by how heavily renovated it was; I barely recognized the place. The service was uniformly excellent whenever I dealt with the staff, and the small touches that make a stay more pleasant were there in abundance.
Good service, clean, great view of dundas square if you can get the room facing the correct direction, easy access to public transportation
Comfortable bed. Close to everything friendly staff and very clean. I got an updated room and was happy with it. Furnace was a bit loud
Clean rooms.. Very responsive and informative staff.. Located in a place near attractions..
Would highly recommend
Nice hotel, staff and amenities. Convenient location.
Location is good but for the price was disappointed with the rooms themselves. Bed was comfy but wall paper was peeling, no in room fridge, when I'd shower the piper would shake super loud and make a noise. Over good for a short stay if you need something downtown.
I really enjoyed the adult pool and the children's pool! Me and my daughter went on the slide it was awesome! The elevators were a little slow even though there was 6 of them! Would go back!
Fabulous hotel great service clean comfortable rooms in the heart of Toronto! Stayed here many times highly recommend this hotel!!
