The Cafe Cat Review

One of my preferred spots for delicious cafe food. do not leave if it's busy, it is worth it. really nothing but enjoyable experiences here, i'll be back. prices were decent. atmosphere is like a restaurant in fort worth i loved.

Cute little cat cafe for feline fans. They offer a small assortment of drinks and snacks and a huge selection of reading material for when a cat takes over your lap and you don't want to disturb them. They cats are all well taken care of and available to adopt. Its a fun little place to spend part of the day or to get your fuzzy fix.

Had no idea this place was here. I jist needed coffee and found myself surrounded by beautiful cats!!!

If you want to cuddle up with a good book, a cup of coffee, and a kitty, this place is heaven.

I have cats so of course I give the Denver Cat Company five stars! Biased! The cats roam free so they might come to you or you go to them. You can sit on a couch or chair and pet kitties. No stress! Relaxing! My cats would live to work here!

Fun place. They only have brewed coffee and tea. Seven dollar cover. But the staff and cats are great!

Denver Cat Co is the best. They are literally our favorite. So sweet, great neighbors, and great people. Support this small business and support cats!

Fun environment, people were very friendly. I don't know why but I was expecting a coffee bar as part of it. My bad. The paint night needs updated brushes.

As a self-proclaimed cat lady with rescued cats of my own, I thoroughly support the mission of finding cats homes, but I wasn t wowed by my experience here. The cafe side of the business needs some attention. Very limited selection (no decaf). I ended up with a cider that tasted like hot apple juice - and the temps were waaaayy too hot. The cat side was just average in comparison to other cat cafes I ve been to. I prefer when they limit the number of people so that there s not ~25+ people with 8-10 cats.

My teen daughter and I had a WONDERFUL experience here!! The staff were very friendly and obviously care deeply about the cats and kept a close eye they were being treated properly which impressed me. The cats were fun, abundant and cuddly! It was very clean. If you can read a cats body language you'll know which ones wanna be left alone, which wanna play and which wanna cuddle. I was happy to pay the $10 to help out these fur-babies and honestly am happy that some people complain about the "fee" because only true cat lovers will pay to cuddle and in my opinion donate towards their care and that's who should be spending time with these kitties. The kids we saw had fun with the cats and didn't hurt them. The complaints I've read from complaining parents are interesting because it doesn't say it's a play place for children. It's kid-friendly but not aimed towards kids; it's aimed for caring for cats who need forever homes!
We WILL be back and will tell our cat loving friends about it!!!

jokes aside, it's very clean inside. hot chocolate was tasty. all of the cats has such different personality, you're sure to find one for you!

Might be the hardest place to leave, all their cats are pretty friendly

A lovely place with lovely staff, cats and patrons. I am your classic introverted cat lover, but apartment life means I can't adopt a cat of my own. I always feel comfortable at Denver Cat Co. to hang for a few hours and get my cat fix. They typically have a good mix of older, cuddly lap cats and rambunctious kittens. The cafe is always clean, and they do a great job with safety and crowd control. A++ would recommend.

I enjoy taking me sister here who is a big cat fanatic, the employees are very welcoming and sweet. It is comfortable and they are wonderful advocates for their cats, and finding them homes.

All the cats are fun and playful. But on the off chance theres a loner, let them be, theres a liability waiver for a reason.

We went here for my friend's birthday (he loves cats) and the service here was quite amazing. The human staff were great but the cats...I LOVE THEM. I'm so glad they're getting homes because they're such sweet kitties. This place seems like a hidden gem because you wouldn't expect a cat cafe in Denver. If you get the chance, I would definitely check it out.

Amazing place that helps cats get adopted, it's a great place to get to know a cat in a more comfortable environment before adopting. Plus the cats are used to being around people because of this.

We stopped by while visiting Denver to play with some kitties. They have toys you can use and lots of cats to chose from. Was a nice, relaxing break on our trip.

A fantastic place to visit and cause! Was as clean as a cat cafe can be. I wouldn't reccomend to anyone who isnt use to cats, as they can be temperamental with so many people around. Still cute though

This place is a cat lovers Paradise! All the kitties are fostered from official cat rescues. Kitten to adult cats surround you at this cozy little library/Cafe. There are games, there are tables, cat painting nights. All manner of toys to bridge the feline-human communication barrier.
I honestly feel like they only pick the cute cats.. lol

I could live here. Annual Membership is 55 bucks and it's so cozy. I expected it to smell a bit but the incense makes it smell great. Love this place

What a wonderful place! Make sure you schedule lots of time to spend here. There is a cover charge so want to make it worth it. And then you have more time with the kitties!

Lots of fun, relaxed atmosphere, and friendly kitties!

I wanted to let me granddaughters just take a look at the cute cat in the window, but when we went in to inquire, we were met by an additional large gate of sorts. Although there were no customers, we were told we would have to pay a cover fee just to get past the second door. I explained that they just wanted to pet their cat, after all it is a Cat Company and rudely told that would not be possible. This is not a friendly place for sure.

Cool place! I'm not a cat person, but my fiance is one, so I stopped in to get her a gift. This place is a cool concept for cat lovers. You pay to play with cats. The money goes towards their adoption fees. There is a cafe in the back so you can drink as well.

This is one of the cutest and most unique places in Denver!
Cats and coffee are the best, and this combines it!

It is in Downtown Denver, so expect to look for parking
Don't expect a full menu here- their main goal is to find homes for cats & keep them safe, so there's not a lot to eat so people don't feed the kitties.

So many cats at this cafe!!! They are all up for adoption. The cover is $8, and you can stay another play with the cats. Toys are all over the cafe, as well as a cat treadmill, cat tunnel and hilarious cat beds. The humans are friendly, too.

Excellent hot chocolate, coffee and a worthy cause! If you're lucky you'll have a furry kitty friend to pet and play with. Entrance fee is all about the cat care and rescue!

The entry fee has increased $4(!) In less than two years. Otherwise best location in Denver. Wish y'all had a food license.

Super friendly woman working today. $8 admission was totally worth it. Comfy lounge area scattered with adoptable kitties. Parking right out front on the street. Cute selection of cat merch including local handmade jewelry. Other fun activities like painting offered!

Such an awesome place! Staff is extremely friendly and the kitties are adorable, well taken care of, and have plenty of room to roam!

All the cats are well behaved lots of toys around. Just remember its $10 per person but it helps find cats new homes.

It's worth knowing that they basically don't have a coffee program. Just cats. Maybe some black coffee.

Eek! Very laid back, friendly staff, clean place, and great cats. Also good coffee and awesome souvenirs.

I only intended to spend an hour or two here but one of the kitties climbed onto my lap and fell asleep. If I wasn't visiting from out of town I definitely would've adopted one.

This place was absolutely outstanding! I loved spending time with these lovely cats! The lady who was working there was very friendly and outgoing giving us all sorts of amazing facts about them! I would definitely go back!!!

How can you not rate it a 5? Great place with a good purpose. The owner said most cats are adopted within 2 weeks. How special is that. The cats don't come running and jumping on you. That part is nice. They love to play, be petted, sleep, well pretty much be a cat. The $5 fee is worth it. We will most likely come back for a paint night.

An incredible place to just sit and enjoy the atmosphere, make friends, and play with cats. You can get coffee or just a little snack to nibble on, and the cats are more than friendly! They even offer adoption for the ones that are available, so if you love one enough you can just take it home with you!
I will definitely be making return trips, you can bet on that.

Fun place for cat lovers! My daughter loves cats but we have dogs as family pet. So I brought her here for a cat fix. She loved it! I also enjoyed watching adorable cats roaming and napping at the coffee shop. Though it wasn t easy to spend time with them when too many people are at cafe.

The owner acts like a very rude high schooler. She defends her poor behavior and has very very poor customer service. DO NOT GO TO THIS CAFE. I love the idea, however the lady working there was absolutely awful!! She was extremely rude to myself and my child. My child was mostly quiet, there were other girls there for a birthday party and she was extremely rude to them and the family like them choosing to share the birthday was putting her off. It was not very organized. I really enjoyed all of the cats and the idea of them getting adopted through play time but there needs to be a more friendly first face.

If you love cats this is your place! This place does such an amazing job to help kitties find a home.

It was everything I ever dreamed a cat cafe would be. They charge a $5 cover fee which goes towards kitty food, litter, ect. You also have the option of buying light refreshments or kitty stuff. In my case I got a pair of socks with two cats on them. They have a lot to entertain you other than the cats like books,games, and/or wifi. Its a great place to be and I wish my city had one.

Horrible Place!!! There were so many people that the cats kept getting stepped on. The kids were running around terrorizing the cats. i can't believe people say this was a great experience. Cats are not only sensitive but being subjected to multitudes of people with children while the staff isn't concerened. The staff is only about collecting the entrance fee and serving coffee. I would not recommend this place if you value animals!!!!! I witnessed an older cat get stepped on and the kids were running everywhere. So when the owner replied to my last post she is incorrect in stating that he cats don't get hurt. I witnessed the chaos and three cats hiding under the chairs for protection. This is not being a good steward in taking care of the cats period!!!!!

Cute and well socialized cats, friendly staff and wonderful cat decor. Great place to come with kids (who know how to be gentle with animals) or on a date.

Very cute little cafe with tons of kittens and cats. $8 for a visit is a bit steep forf justja visit, but it all goes into helping the cats get adopted which is great. If you love cats, come visit here!

Brilliant concept for an adoption center! I was fortunate enough to walk past this place on my way home from work for a month and a half. I'm gonna miss seeing those kitties everyday! I'll definitely stop back by when I'm in the area. Oh and if you're a local, you can buy an membership fee! I didn't know that until after the fact when I paid my daily fees. It's a way better deal so be sure and ask about it.

Toby Keith was the best. Also the barista/watcher of the cats was super friendly and informative.

This place is really fun! Cozy atmosphere makes it a great place to be creative and get some work done. All the cats are super cuddly and fun, but you can't expect to pet them all as they are cats so if you can be patient you're sure to make a new cat friend every time you come!

Cool to support this place, and nice for releasing stress by playing with kitties! They've had almost 70 adoptions since they opened, which is awesome.

You pay a small fee to get in (all this money goes to caring for the cats) but once you do it's a cat lover's paradise. Lots of places to sit, lots of cats (there were 16 when I went) and EVERY cat is adoptable! So if you fall in love with one (or two) you can submit an application to adopt!

As a self-professed crazy cat lady, I was super excited about this place. However, I did not expect it to be a glorified petting zoo. We couldn't even get close to the kitties because of all of the barely supervised children mishandling them. Many of the kitties were exhausted and overhandled, yet nobody stepped in to keep them from being passed around like toys. I love the concept and I was so happy to see that most of the current kitties there were already in the adoption process, but I suspect somebody may have just wanted to save them from being carried around by their neck by a toddler. The 3 stars are for the amazing concept and good attempt to make it a cozy environment, but I'm afraid I won't be going back anytime soon because it was honestly depressing for somebody who loves cats.
