I absolutely LOVED the idea of this place, but when I got there, there were kids tormenting the cats. Many of the parents either ignored it or helped to find hiding cats to get for their kids. I did appreciate the parents who were there that made their kids behave (not all of the kids/parents were bad). I give 2 stars instead of 1 since I don't know what the owner could really do to improve this. I mean kids will be kids, but at the same time, I think the cats deserve not to be tormented. And it seemed like such a wonderful idea to have a place like this!

I have been here a number of times and each one has been amazing! The staff I have interacted with have all been friendly and clearly care about the well being of the kitties. Just be conscious of the kitties behavior and what they are seeking and remember that you are a visitor in their home. For me this is a nice calming place to get some work done while getting some snuggles and play time in!

This place is a tourist trap and not what I was expecting. There was no coffee selection, and there was a $7 admission fee just to be there. The cats were not friendly at all; I got scratched pretty badly by one of them. The cats seemed miserable with so many people begging for their attention.

Great staff. It's a fun place to hang out with kitties, but it's also set up well for the cats' comfort, so they can get away if they need to and rules are enforced to prevent mishandling. The cats are usually friendly and playful. The cover charge is small, and the tea options are good.

Great place to meet a cat if you're looking to adopt, or if you want to study and hang out. Most of the cats are friendly and well socialized and they do well with other cats. There are snacks and beverages here to purchase and lots of games to play. You'll also want to check out the cat merchandise up front for cool stuff.

I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! I would rank it higher if I could! The cats are wonderful and it is a fun way to get to know and possibly eventually adopt cats! This place is great, the people there are very nice. You get to play with cats and have soda's, coffee and tea! The cats are adorable and mostly friendly!

I had such a wonderful experience here. I recommend you coming to visit. All the cats are very friendly and sweet I love how you can pick them up and play with them. It just made me want to adopt all the kitties and give them homes. The staff was awesome! And I love the selection of gifts and trinkets they have at the entrance. The drink section was great. Parking was not too bad.

This place is amazing! Great place to destress and relax. Brought some art supplies and chilled with the kitties for a while. Its gone from $7 to $10 to enter but I dont mind since it goes to caring for the kitties. The workers are always so good with the cats too. Oh and the music is fantastic!

Best. Place. Ever. A great place to come and just chill. If you're looking to adopt, this is a great place to really see each cat's true personality, where they're not stressed out. Totally lowered my blood pressure and got enough kitty loving to make my own kitty jealous when I go home. I'll definitely be back.

Daisy has a point: the coffee is terrible, and the snacks spartan at best, but that's obviously not the point of this place. Elizabeth, you're not one of those people that think that just because you do a job that makes you look like a selfless martyr that you can't be wrong, are you?

Came here to see that cats as we have loved this place for many years for it s warm environment and loving cats, but saw that it was EIGHT dollars a person which we cannot afford. As much as we would like to support this place and would be more than willing to buy pastries or pay a smaller cover fee, eight dollars is too much for us to be able to support this location:(

Denver Cat Company is PHENOMENAL! Do NOT believe the lies that these negative Karens and Kevins wrote in their reviews. DCC is very clean, sanitary, safe for cats and humans alike, and a wonderful place to come love on beautiful kitties. Their merchandise is AWESOME (I've purchased several shirts, magnets, cat ear headbands and other fun cat paraphernalia). They know EXACTLY what they are doing and are incredibly kind and sweet to patrons! I've been to DCC a half dozen times and recently they even offered an opportunity to foster kittens they saved from euthanasia. Seriously. So book an appointment online and give yourself the gift of DCC!

Great little family friendly outing. Parking was a bit difficult to find, but they had a nice selection of kitties who wanted to be friendly and play. Even though there are so many cats running around, it still feels clean and like a good place to have a coffee. We would go back.

So many kitties! A great price to just hang out with kitties and play with them or watch them sleep. You can also see about adopting them as they are all from shelters. Definitely going to be coming back more often! These are Holly, Hope, Simon, Magda, and Berry.

Less vegan fare than I'm used to at a cat cafe, but the interior layout was great, and the cats a real charm to see and interact. What may not be delivered on the "cafe" front is definitely compensated in part by the "cat" front - a single entrance fee gives you unlimited cat time (daily, I assume). Very chill spot, and would be a good place to plant for a few hours on a laptop, if you have the self-control to focus on work.

amazing little cafe where you can play and sit with cats who are up for adoption. just being here a really therapeutic experience. it's probably one of the only cat cafes in the world i've heard of that doesn't have any kind of time limit to be there. The cats are always sweet, and some might even take a nap on your lap! the owner is so sweet, and is super passionate about these animals and the cafe. Try out ne of the painting classes held here too! a really unique experience, come give some kitties waiting for forever homes some love!

Its me and the wife's favorite place whenever we're in the Denver area at the historic Tennyson street near the old Elitch Gardens location. Love the fact they have kitties for all to play and cuddle with along with some good beverage and food options. Best of all the cats are adoptable. Best time to go to get more cat action is on the weekdays because weekends get trampled with nothing, but little kids unfortunately tormenting the kitties and they crowd around the whole place making less cat action because of them. Come on by regardless and enjoy the time with them and If you got a good kitty that wants to go home, you can adopt it and give it a good forever home.

It was an amazing experience! A bit pricey just for a cafe, but the staff was very friendly and every single kitty was very well behaved and loved being around people. I will definitely be going back soon!

Great place! Always a joy to visit! Great customer service always. At $8/person/day price is totally reasonable. It's ridiculous how cheap some other the reviewers are, considering other places (I been to a few out east charge dollars per hour!)

Play with cats and drink coffee and tea! For some, this is a better place to get work done. At $5 for entrance, the petting and playing with cats is worth the price. After spending time at neko kissaten in Shibuya, I fell in love with the model. I did not think that Denver would have a cat cafe. Watch out, they may commandeer your jacket!

Cats! Tons of cats! As soon as we got here we were greeted by an employee that explained the cost, what the money is for, and the menu. Theres no fresh food here, but they have sparkling water, coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. They also have muffins and cakes from Bon Appetite. We made our purchases and sat down at a table. Right away we each had a cat on our laps! We spent the next hour petting cats and sipping coffee. There is also a book area to explore and a small cat gift shop. This place has it all for the crazy cat lady!

Honestly really disappointed. I've been to cat cafes all over the world from Paris to Shanghai, Singapore to London, and many throughout the US. I personally have worked with literally thousands of cats over the years as a cat caretaker and employee at Best Friends Animal Society as well as worked with coalition partners around the country. To some up my experience here: this place is unfortunately the worst cat cafe that I have ever visited. 1. The most recent review was posted 2 weeks ago about the medical conditions of the cats. The owner responded saying only 1 cat was sick and was taken to the vet. The reality is that multiple cats have acute upper respiratory infections and ocular (eye) discharge and sensitivity. The sole caretaker working said this was normal and I can tell you from first hand medical experience, that it is NOT normal! If you have cats at home, DO NOT VISIT! While these conditions are not zoonotic and cannot spread to humans, the viral infections can potentially and easily spread to your cats at home! The respiratory and eye issues have contaminated and spread amongst the cat population here and the caretaker didnt even seem phased by the MULTIPLE sick cats that I pointed out. One in particular who was having such a hard time breathing that it resulted in trying to breathe through its mouth intermittently. Also cats were vomiting and again, THAT IS NOT NORMAL. If cats begin vomiting then that is a serious sign of underlying issues! NO they were not just hairballs either. It was actual bile vomit from sick cats. I included snap shots from videos of a couple cats that are sick. 2. They let people in with babies. I have nothing against babies in general but this is so dangerous to both cats and the babies themselves. Unfortunately not all parents watch their kids and even when they do, that doesnt mean they react to obvious issues that the babies are causing. I watched as a baby kept slapping kittens in the face and hitting them with the plastic toy wand then dragging a reusable bag around and dropping it on cats/kittens as the parent helped the baby walk around in a walking harness. Even the parent was grabbing cats and holding onto them, squeezing them, while the cats panicked and tried getting away. Of course the baby isnt cognitive enough to control its motor skills but the parent was right there helping the baby do such things or participating along, all right infront of the sole caretaker who was just sitting at the front desk watching whatever was on her ipad instead of stopping them. 3. They have extremely inappropriate foul-languaged magnets for sale that are shocking considering that children are allowed to play and terrorize cats here. They also have magnets that shame people's political beliefs or make fun of LGBTQ, but this establishment hypocritically supports inclusion? It's seriously unfortunate that they single out a political party when supporters of both sides come to support an establishment, adoptions, and share a love for cats. Actions speak louder than words. Spread love not hate? But then they hate on a specific political party by ordering and selling such paraphernalia. Made me feel even more uncomfortable that I'm supporting such an establishment with my hard earned money.

Such a chill environment. Perfect for hanging out, meeting up with a friend, or getting work done. The cats are mostly friendly and playful, some are shy, but none were aggressive. Small price for admission, but well worth it if you get a drink and stay a while!

This is a great place to spend some time if, like me, you can't have pets where you live. It might take a while to get the attention of cats to play but that's no one's fault. The store is also in a great location, make sure to spend some walking the neighborhood!

The place was very busy with a lot more humans than cats, which makes it difficult to spend time with the cats and also makes them overwhelmed. Many of the people there brought their kids to play. It is not a playground or a zoo and it was annoying yo have people treat it that way instead of treating it like a cafe where people go to relax quietly. Extremely limited beverage and food options. It's really about spending time with the cats, but I recommend calling to find out what the least busy hours are or else the cats will be too overstimulated and anxious.

It's an okay experience. They can't serve fresh refreshments here, as there are many cats. In general the felines here are quite charming and fun as you pet them when they lounge and play. If you need a cat fix on vacation, it's probably worth an hour of your time to come here.

At other cat cafes worldwide, you need to reserve a time to visit and pay by the hour. At Denver Cat Company you pay a small cover fee (that goes towards feeding the homeless cats!) and can then stay all day, including an exit for lunch and reentry. You can bring in outside food and/or get some work done with free wifi between kitten cuddle attacks. They have board games and books and lots of seating options (sofas, tables, etc). The staff are excellent about cat care and you can't smell the litterboxes. There's a small gift shop for cute cat related items (free to enter just to browse gift shop). Every cat is up for adoption!! Sadly, only the front third of the cafe is wheelchair accessible, as there are ~5 stairs up to the main area. The restroom itself is accessible but it requires going up the stairs. Single stall all-gender bathroom

I love this place so much. Thank you guys for all that you do! I almost walked out of there with Mr. Ozzy but I think we are a two cat household for now. I especially love how the staff drive far and wide to rescue these poor babies and give them a good home. You're the best and you are doing the work that the world needs.

Ok, so they do their best to provide the "cafe" experience without breaking health codes. All the cats are friendly, cute, soft and playful! I was nervous about engaging any of them but they were all eager for attention. The atmosphere also is nice to talk to strangers as you're all there cooing over kittens and cats. A wide selection of books, some boardgames, and neat merchandize to buy. We bought a handful of drinks and they allowed us to bring food in(which was difficult because I had one cat begging to have some). I really liked the decor and definitely want to come back all the time.

The first time I went was amazing and the employee that was working at the time was an angel but the second time i went the owner was there and she was a devil she was mean to the cats and get this my little 2 year old brother was playing with his cars with his friend and the devil lady snatched them right out of his hand and threw them in the dumpster outside! My mom and her friend went to talk with the lady and she lied about throwing them in the dumpster when me and my siblings straight up saw her do it and then she came clean and then insisted that he was making to much noise when I could barely hear him and then she went outside and got the cars and then my mom went crazy on her and then she kicked us out but before she could do that we told almost everyone there what happened and in a minute half of the people had left.

Best cat cafe in the country!! Lower prices, unlimited time, books and games, lots of seating for working or cuddling kitties, amazing staff, buy snacks or byo food, little gift shop. All cats are adoptable. Very clean and tidy, I've seen them scoop poop in the back room within a few minutes of it being dropped, so it really doesn't smell. I go here every time I'm in Denver!

Great vibe! Great atmosphere! Awesome cats! If you are needing to interact with some beloved furry friends, this is the place for you! A buddy of mine and I visited to get our "cat fix" and were so encouraged by their treatment at this place! You can adopt a cat if you connect with a friend. It was cozy and offered a variety of beverages. This is a place a cat lover can hang out and enjoy the peace our furry friends bring!

If I could give 0 stars I would. When my family came in the owner was incredibly rude to us. I have never felt more unwelcomed at an establishment. I pride myself in being an attentive person and mother and it was clear from the very beginning that the owner did not want children there, however well behaved, or however well attended to. We will not be going back and I do not recommend coming at all but especially with your children. It's unfortunate because I had been very happy to support the mission of the cat cafe up until this point but I can't support a place that treats families with such coldness.

I love coming here to pet the kitties even though I have my own. They make a pretty good cup of coffee and you can sit and relax with a little fur buddy. If you want to hang out somewhere relaxing and support a good cause, this is your place to go!

This place is AMAZING! I would go back 100 times and some. The staff was very sweet and I can tell they care about the kitties there. All of the cats there are beautiful, friendly and healthy. This is a great place for car lovers to go it s only $10 to get in and that money goes to taking care of the kitties. I m in love with this place and I advise everyone to stop in and see how wonderful it is!

Sweet kitties, nice atmosphere, and good drinks! Not too expensive, either, though there is a cover charge just to be in the cafe - not out of the ordinary for cat cafes, and this one has no time limits! Great place for studying or relaxing.

The times that I have visited, it has always been very clean, very quiet, and a very relaxing environment. The price isnt nad for getting such a grrat experience, and i love having thr ability to play games and read with the kitties around. The kitties always seem healthy and happy. I have not attending the painting classes they offer, but love the unique artwork that they have around. This place is an especially good hang out for those who love cats but cant have any in their current living situation.

I loved this place so much I went two days in a row. It is very reasonably priced compared to other cat cafes I have been to across the country. Loved the layout and everything. The best part (besides cat cuddles) was speaking with the owner. She was so friendly and inspiring and interesting to speak to. She really was invested in our conversation and made us feel at home. We stayed for two hours each time no problem. I will always come back to this place each time I return to Denver. Thanks for a great time and thanks for all you do to help homeless cats! Much love -Taylor
