One of the nicest gardens that I have been. There are a numerous variety of flowers to see and all of them are very well kept. There are also nice restaurant and area to relax. There one equipment that visitors can not forget: your camera to photograph the most colorful flowers.
This is a must to visit place.

Absolutely beautiful garden with an incredible winter display at a discount. We came here to see their 12 days of Christmas set up and it was great.

Parking is easily accessible and there is tons of room. They'll direct you to your spot. Sections are associated with animals to remember where you parked. The whole walkthrough takes about an hour and is great.

They have a little carousel about halfway that is very neat for kids. The gift shop by the entrance is pretty much any gift shop in a small area like this with some nice stuff and a ton of overpriced knick knacks.

Entry price is cheaper in the winter and if you are in the area a lot the year pass is a big savings.

Beautiful. Beautiful. Beautiful.
The picnic basket we ordered for our dinner was the best, so much fun too. Fireworks were wonderful. Carousel was fun.

Wow. Way better than I expected. It's easy to see why this is a multi million dollar extravaganza.
Flowers , grounds ,everything is a blaze of colour wherever you look.
The grounds are immaculate. I dare you to find a weed.
Maps and flower identifier brochures are helpful if your into that aspect of gardening.
There are even free umbrellas to use on the grounds.

Absolutely beautiful gardens, the best I've seen yet. Bit pricey but absolutely worth it. The 4 sections of the gardens are all totally unique and are loaded with character. A must see for tourists!!

Wayyy too overcrowded! Feels like a shopping mall the day before Christmas. I wonder if they even have an occupancy maximum because it s outside?! Throw in a few busloads of Asian tourists and it gets rather pushy. Not enjoyable.

This place us spectacular year round! They plant all different flowers and plants for all seasons. The sunken garden is the best. This is family and pet friendly. They have fantastic fireworks every Saturday night during the summer months. The only knock against it is that it's quite expensive.

As you would expect from the website and numerous pictures it is a very beautiful place! It is also very busy with lots of people which can have an impact on the overall enjoyment. Worth the visit as no one in our family had been before and it is very impressive. The carousel was a neat surprise as I had heard it was in there but did not know it was that large. The Japanese garden was our favorite as well as the lookout to the bay. Staff were very friendly and polite and did well with a bit of a goofy parking/park entrance payment layout. Great job to the maintenance workers that keep the site in such an immaculate condition.

This park is amazing. We came in November and didn't expect much. We were pleasantly surprised at the foliage. The walk is very easy with some stairs. We will be coming in the summer for sure.

Overrated and overpriced. Yes, of course the flora and some of the statuary are beautiful. However, the facilities and the pathways leave much to be desired and are in no way world-class. The restrooms are in desperate need of upgrades and expansion. The pathways are far too narrow and too many are inexplicably closed. The overall expanse of the park/gardens is small and doesn't justify the relatively high entry fee. Review is based on a single visit mid-week during early July 2018.

Amazing place with a beautiful flower ocean. The garden is giant and colourful with multiple style garden. Like Japanese style, Italy style and many types of garden. It's great point if you visit to Victoria.

This was a return visit for us but new under Covid-19 measures. A lot of steps have been taken to ensure the safety of guests and employees however those did detract from our enjoyment of the visit. Visitors can only follow a predetermined path keeping 2 metres away from the people in front or back. This meant that individuals who wanted to stop and take photos of the gorgeous scenery and flowers felt rushed as people stacked up behind waiting. The gift shop staff were so welcoming and every shopper is provided with a basket in which to put anything you touch which worked well instead of discouraging visitors from picking up items. Overall we still enjoyed our visit but we felt rushed and would have preferred to be able to take our time (especially given the cost of admission) but we recognize these are extraordinary times and we appreciated the efforts taken to keep us safe.

Very beautiful place. We visited the butterfly gardens first and stayed for music and fireworks (weekend only). Huge gift shop reasonably priced with great variety. Left off a star for the overall cost. Not entirely unreasonable but would have felt slightly jipped had we not stayed for 5hrs with the music and fireworks. The rose garden was our favorite. It s fun looking at the winning roses from different years.

An absolutely gorgeous setting that is well worth your time and $. I d definitely aim to arrive at opening to maximise the space without the immense crowds. I arrived around 9am and only 1 car park was at capacity. When I left at 1pm, there was not a single space in the 5 car parks I could see from where I parked.

If you re travelling solo like me, get people to take some photos of you. Selfie sticks are banned, however I had a mini tripod style thing and was told it was ok. You re not allowed to set something up and block traffic.

An absolute MUST see around Victoria, so worth the money (I recommend going in the evening as the flowers really catch the light and it s less busy)

Honestly the most beautiful garden I ve ever been to, (especially the sunken garden and the rose garden)

Wow, these gardens truly blew me away. I m not a flower guy (anything I plant seems to die) but these gardens... wow. The price is a little high, but for what you get, it is worth it. Even though they have over 50 acres of land, it can still get very busy and crowded, so come prepared for that. Overall great place to spend a few hours, I do recommend it. Just come knowing that there are probably crowds of people.

Beautiful gardens, if you are in the area it is a must see. They have a great plant identification resource desk in the Information building near the front entrance. Excellent food at the Dining Room and wonderful ice cream selection in the Italian garden.

Awsome

These beautiful and varied gardens are well worth visiting for a few hours. There are plenty of paths to walk and places to discover including rose gardens, mossy areas and a cove. It is possible to get around and see most of the gardens even if you cannot deal with steps and there are places to buy snacks and ice cream/sorbet.

This was a highlight of our visit to Vancouver Island. We enjoyed walking around to see the different gardens. We enjoyed fireworks at the site and from our window at night. This is a must-see for all visitors.

The gardens are immaculate! Wish the Japanese garden was stroller/wheelchair accessible but unfortunately it is not. Loved the live music in the park. All of the staff members we interacted with provided friendly service. Plenty of seating options along the walkways for those needed a break. Ordered the picnic baskets for dinner and the meal was great, although the portion sizes were huge. Will definitely share one next time.

If I could give this place ten stars I would. The entrance does not make it too apparent that you are in for a wonderful surprise. This visit highlighted my trip to Victoria. The garden even in winters was out of this world beautiful with the most delicate, well maintained, scenic, and dense garden exhibits I believe I would ever get to see in my life. A must visit for all tourists.

Visited on a paid shore excursion cruise on the royal Caribbean ship ,Explorer of the seas, prior to its tranpacific relocation. Had a marvelous time walking around and enjoying the scenery.

There is a certain route that you are recomended to take, I did it backwards and found out the figurative swimming against the tide of himanity to be troublesome.

Rain or shine, these gardens will bring a smile to your face as you enjoy each garden and learn some of the history of the area. A great stop if you're visiting or simply have never been.

Butchart Gardens doesn't sound like much before you go, and doesn't look like much at the entrance, but when you go inside and start walking around you are amazed at how big it is. It covers a very large area, has many beautiful flowers, plants, and bushes and has several fountains. Everything here was beautiful and well laid out. They also have a place to get gelato, a cafe, and gift shop. Well worth the trip!

Lovely flower arrangements and really well thought out landscaping. A great place to take photos and just go for a walk. Also they had a very creative fireworks show that I was quite impressed with, it was very different from anything I've seen before or since.
