Amazing experience. Watched the fireworks a must see event during the summer season. Just grab a few blankets, get cozy on the grass with your loved ones and enjoy the show . For extra quality time, make a reservation or get a picnic basket, have a picnic supper in the beautiful outdoors with the sunshine and move forward into the fireworks late in the night. All in all a great and peaceful destination.

Beautiful beautiful beautiful. The gardens are lovely and the fireworks were amazing. Would highly recommend our Saturday visit itinerary:
1. Whales & Gardens Whale Watching Tour - this tour started us off in Victoria Harbour and after 3 hours of whale watching, dropped us off directly in Butchart Gardens - absolutely no waiting in line!!!
2. Reserve spot on fireworks lawn with blanket. We got the absolutely perfect spot as you are okay to reserve at any time during the day just by spreading a blanket on the lawn.
3. Walk around the amazing gardens
4. Get a picnic basket from the Italian Garden - delicious!
5. Eat picnic while watching the concert on the lawn.
6. Fireworks!
7. The Whales & gardens tour also includes a shuttle bus back to Victoria.

Rain or shine, the Butchart Gardens are magnificent. With many themed gardens: Italian, Japanese, Chinese. Check out the magnificent Totem poles and marvel at the magnificently manicured sunken garden. Great place for taking photos weather you're amateur or pro.

First class attraction - everything well done...locals could buy season pass (costs less than going twice). Then it becomes a great place to go for walk, coffee and free evening concerts in the summer.

The Butchart garden may be an awesome place, no doubt I have seen clips and pictures. I am not giving 2 stars for the garden but rather because we were very disappointed. November is a dead month to go to the garden. Our timings were wrong so there was really nothing to see. I was told to visit again for the 12 days of Christmas. So the 2 stars is my misadventures, but it's a place that should be revisited. For sure.

This garden is the most beautiful garden I have ever seen. The flowers, the arrangement, the staff, the scenery is totally amazing. I would highly recommend this place, this is a must go.

A wonderful place to spend with friends and family.
The staff are very helpful and the gardens are wonderful year round.
The Christmas light display is excellent, and we enjoyed the Christmas Dinner this past Christmas Day with the family.
A very attentive staff and some very nice food.
Price is what you would expect for such a high level of service, the location and the holiday.
If you want to attend Christmas 2019, you will have to book as soon as they start taking bookings.
We booked on the day they started booking (November 1st if I recall correctly) and it was sold out very quickly.
Fireworks displays on Saturdays during the summer are excellent!

Beautiful place!!! Its a MUST to visit.

Beautiful place!!! Its a MUST to visit.
It has beautiful gardens with a wide variety of flowers, and at least in sumner, everything is so colorful and pretty.

You may need a hat.. i only would suggest to add more signs, most of all "Exit" signs, because i got lost inside, besides that, its perfect!

Charmed by the roses, bathed by the trees. Pampered by the service amidst the hurly burly of other tourists. Bring your calm, experience more. Set technology and cameras aside for longer lasting memories.

Extremely overpriced for the experience. They charge you before you go inside the parking area so it s too late to escape.

Some pathways are too narrow and not everything is wheelchair/ stroller accessible which we asked before entering.

This is my second visit to this place and even though I liked it more the first time, it's still a very beautiful garden. The price of admission is up there, but they take good care of the place. It's nice for walking around, but does get crowded on a Saturday. Will be back again I'm sure.

The Butchart gardens during early spring has no real flowers blooming, however they provide something called the spring prelude where it gives an introduction for what to look forward to this spring.

Still a beautiful place with all the architecture around and helpful/knowledgeable staff that make the experience better.

If you're looking for an attraction, Butchart gardens is one of Victoria's best gems.

This is a sensory overload, indescribable through photos as the heady scent of honey and flowers can not be captured,. If you are fortunate enough to find yourself in Victoria on Vancouver Island this is a MUST DO. It really doesn't matter age, green thumb or not these gardens are Breathtaking!!!!!

Favourite season is spring for the tulips and fall for the dahlias. Highly recommended catching one of the Saturday night firework shows. Bring a lawn blanket and go early and claim a spot, then Go see the gardens! the viewing area fills up fast after that.

Such a wonderful way to spend a sunny day. There are plenty of tour busses that service the gardens. We took the CVS tour line and it took about an hour from the Empress Hotel.

When you begin your walking tour, take all the left turns. That s the secret to not getting lost (However, there s one slight right at the fountain with the three fishes I think)

Plenty of beautiful gifts in the gift shop. The food in the sandwich cafe was also good. If you get hungry, make sure you eat before going in...there s not really any food options except for at the entrance of the gardens.

One of the most beautiful gardens I've seen so far. The weather was perfect, sunny, warm, lucky me! I get to see Spring twice, in B.C and back home. B.C. is about 6/7 weeks ahead of the mid west Spring blooming time. A lovely visit
I highly recommend it.

I honestly expected more from these renowned gardens, but I'm not disappointed: the gardens are beautiful and various, and the flowers too. The intent was to reunite kind of gardens from all over the world, but the results is a bit confusing and chaotic. Anyway the ice cream is good (even though really expensive), and the visit relaxing and pleasant

We went with family there today and were very disappointed with experience because of COVID-19 most of parts of it are closed,no entertainment for kids, but entrance fee stayed same,I just feel tickets price should be half price for what we had available there....

Pretty expensive but it's worth it if you love nature and gardens. We got there when it first open and it was amazing being there without a crowd. Later in the day it got busier and a little harder to take nice pictures and wasn't as romantic.

The Christmas light displays were amazing! We arrived at 6pm, walked through the displays, and had dinner in the cafeteria at 7:15pm. I had short ribs and my wife had steak. Both meals were tasty! Definitely worth seeing!

Absolutely beautiful. We were there just before nightfall. We got to see the gardens in daylight and then with all the lights on. It is pricey. It cost us $33.00 each approximately. We were very short on time. We went through very quickly. We did it in 1hr & 15 mins. You should allow at least 2 hours. Longer if u plan on eating there.Take mosquito repellent if you go in the evening.
Would definitely go back!

I live 30 minutes away from those gardens. Although I have lived here for 14 years I'm glad I waited until just a few years ago to see it for the first time. All prior years I lacked the appreciation and historical desire to spend a full day and feel for myself the huge ongoing creation there. After being there for 15 minutes I went back to my car to put my camera away. Then slowly, gradually, I explored with enjoyment. The mental images are still there because I knew to dump the camera. Quit documenting and explore with a sense of smell and light. I was humbled by the wife of an 1800's millionaire that chose to take one of her husband's mining exploits and reclaim it to beyond land responsibility. Her knowledge of botany was second to none and she used her own hands for many years to build a great a world of natural color that extends for over 50 acres. Now with the help of hundreds of employees, it is delicately cared for. Sights of growth and sounds of music fill the air. Different in the spring and summer and fall. Christmas would blow your mind!

If you live near by, the year pass is a must! see the seasons change, go skating and walk among the Christmas lights. In summer grab some of the house-made gelato (Hazelnut or Peach!) and wander through the Japanese Gardens to cool off.

What a magical place!!! The gardens are so beautiful throughout the year, and the lights at Christmas are spectacular. This year I wandered around the gardens for a couple hours looking at the lights with a hot chocolate in hand.
