The Breezes Resort & Spa Reviews

We just got back from a 5 day stay at Breezes Bahamas(Jan 2019). The resort is nice, but a little dated. They were working on painting half the resort while we were there, so they are actively maintaining it.

Good:

1) The beach is amazing. They have lots of loungers for you to use.
2) Service is great. They give you a Bahama Mama when you show up, take your bags to your room and are usually very prompt when you need a drink etc.
3) Price. Compared to other resorts you save a lot of money eating and drinking at their resort since it's all-inclusive. The prices of drinks and food at other places is rediculous($12 beer, $15 hamburger).

Okay:

1) The food was okay. It wasn't stellar but did the job of keeping you fed.
2) The resort isn't the Baha Mar or Atlantis, it's just okay. The pools are nice, but they make it seem like they are closed after 6pm, when it's just they don't have a lifeguard on duty but you can still use them.
3) People do come up on the beach and bother you to sell you things(snorkeling, tshirts, jet skiing). I don't hate this, but it gets old after a bit.

Poor:

1) Meal times are odd. The buffet doesn't start until 7:30am for breakfast, lunch 12:30pm and dinner 6:30pm. I typically eat before then for breakfast and lunch especially if I have an excursion planned after.
2) Everything is not organized very well in the dining area. If you don't get to one of the sitdown places when they open(6 or 630 depending on who you ask) you will have to wait. They have an omelette station at the buffet(that they also use for stir-fry at dinner) that is right next to the buffet and people stand there blocking the buffet waiting for it. They need a seperate line for that. I couldn't get to the bacon, I need my bacon.

Overall, I would recommend this resort for those on a budget. Also, BRING A TUMBLER!!! I'd suggest at least 16oz but bigger works too. They will make/pour your drinks into this. Otherwise you get an 8oz plastic cup that lasts about 3 sips. They do sell tumblers in the giftshop, but they are very overpriced.

Worst resort ever! I've never been to the Bahamas..... super inclusive no! Air conditioning out, bathrooms and elevators out, beer out, spiced rum, out. 3 ounce plastic cups plentiful! Waitresses out! Get prepared to be hungry, and thirsty and sweat it off in your room at all hours and have no choices! Good luck getting your reservations in order in a timely manner. Our party of 8 from 20 to 75 were all unsatisfied! Basically bronze level with a gold star! Friendliest people were the lifeguards, and security. Minus the ground keepers who got arrested on the resort for theft! Excellent time!!!! Don't go there. Stay at maha bar or melia!

I have been there 4times and can't wait to go back I went in November 2016 and also just came back end of March. It was wonderful as always. Best breakfast, lunch and if you didn't want lunch inside they had a place outside. Dinner at night was wonderful also. Waitstaff very friendly people that cleaned we're great also. Rooms were always cleaned in fact when someone lft after cleaning it they would be inspected. They had a special for returning guest with lobster , lamb, etc.... Chocklate covered strawberries etc bar.... I had a wonderful time as always!!!! The bar people were great also we can't wait to go back. We lived it. Beach was wonderful also

Disgusting! Walked up to check into hotel they offered me fruit punch with a bug inside. Then i asked for a room with a ocean view which i booked. They gave me a room on first floor no view. The place is not clean the water coming from the shower stinks. When i woke up the first night there was a bug crawling in my bed. Was so displeased with this place no one should ever stay here. Hotel wouldnt let me speak with a manager for 2 days in a row. Never going back!

A great long weekend trip! Staff is soo friendly!! Food was wonderful for an all inclusive. The food & wait staff were always friendly & great. Always kept our tables cleared & cleaned. The Japanese restaurant was delicious!! Not very More

Quality5 rooms average .restaurant hyper air conditioned. Lack of outdoor tables and service that does not meet our European standards.

Nice and quiet, the food is excellent, love the sheets they are nice and comfy. I really enjoyed my time there.

It was very clean the help was very friendly they took are of us very well. Sharon in the Italian restaurant and Kacey the bartender were both outstanding

Breezes Resort and Spa, Nassau, Bahamas, is distinguished by its allround best in class customer service in all Departments with which I came into direct contact. The staff are all so pleasant and unobtrusively attentive, efficient and responsive.

I just have to single out one staff member among such a well-trained and efficient cadre of people. She is Iesha at Reception. Superlatives come short when it comes to this young lady. Warm and welcoming, ability to multi-task, making each guest feel they are the most special person on the planet, technically competent (WIFI), answering the phone, a smile that keeps long after an encounter, Iesha, is simply the BEST.

I will start by saying my opinion of this place is not about all the staff but some. We checked in and we were given a different room until we got a tour and it was explained that the cabanas under the Oceanview rooms were reserved for those who had the Oceanview rooms. So after we spoke to a different staff member that was corrected. The rooms were soso much like much of the rest of the outdated resort. Up until the last day our floor was getting work done on.... Painting, plaster, molding....etc. The food was average and the time given to us for breakfast was incorrect. We were told 10:30am breakfast ended and it really ended at 10:00. We were not the only guests misinformed. One of the MOD was told and they at least apologized. The person in the dining hall was not happy or helpful at all... Honestly too much write down. Some staff are very polite but there are too many draw backs for this resort and a few good staff is not enough. The days we did all staff to clean the floor was never cleaned and sheets were never changed over the 6 day stay. Smoking was allowed in designated areas but we still saw it elsewhere (near pool, and on the balcony). Spend your money were it will be appreciated not where the water is clear only.

A lot of walking just in resort. Rooms nothing great. Staff very friendly.

Back after almost 20 years. Fits like an comfortable old shoe. Good service for the most part. Not fancy, but relaxing, low maintenance all-inclusive. Rent the beach cabanas - worth it.

Went to Breezes to attend a wedding, the waite staff was wonderful, however room was dated and smelled moldy, horrible bed with springs poking through and constant construction going on. Food was really good. When I told them my thoughts, I got an " I'm so sorry" terrible!

I had high expectations but regrettably i was disappointed. It started with the lobby bathroom which had an unpleasant odor. My room was in need of ventilation and my sinusitis started to act up. The curtains had mildew from top to bottom and i was affraid to touch it. Food options on the buffet line are limited. No bottled water available. I think the property overall needs to be rennovated. The infrastructure is old and the odor in the rooms and hallways needs to be remedied.

The staff at Breezes makes the place. There is a wide enough variety of food to satisfy most people, the rooms are clean, and the pool area and beach are beautiful. We love it there!

I was supposed to be at this resort this week but I decided not to go because of the Hurricane
They still insisted to me to go out there and not refund my money. I just need to reschedule for a another time . My grandfather has been with the RED CROSS for over 10 years and always goes to disaster areas and help out people. I would like to see If I could go out to the Bahamas and change lifes also. I pray everyone is ok and safe.

This was our 4th stay at the Breezes and it just feels like home away from home! (We were married here 7 yrs ago). And yes it isn t as fancy as the huge surrounding competitors but we always find it very comfortable, clean, Enjoy the beautiful uncrowded beach, and a delicious variety of food. They have a unique and generous return guest party and we met a man there that travels to Nassau for work frequently. He told us out of close to 40 stays in city he has tried a handful of other places and always comes back to the Breezes! That is a fantastic testimony that confirms why we return! As in any business there is turnover but we continue to experience awesome customer service and engagement and look forward to seeing familiar staff faces as well as meeting new ones. From the young desk clerk ( sorry didn t get your name) who upgraded our room to the veterans Marvin, Rico, Jerry and Sammy, who provide hours of fun to new people we met like Mario and the the two Entertaining magic tricksters at the swim bar (sorry I forgot their names a male and female) As well as the other staff there. This year we went deep sea fishing and were blown away by the chef (Myles is it ? and his staff) Who prepared our Wahoo to perfection and the presentation was amazing! (Would have been thrilled for him to just throw chunks of it on a plate) The best fish I have ever eaten as well as the special lime/pepper sauce he made to accompany it! As if that wasn t enough, when we couldn t give it away to people dining around us and the staff couldn t accept it, they went another step and said they would save it and reheat the next day and they did!!! Out of this world service!
We always recommend the Breezes to our friends and anyone looking for an all inclusive resort! It s home away from home

Spent a day on the beach with a great staff that went out of their way to make us feel welcome.

Fantastic resort, very friendly and hospitable staff.

I am giving this one star only because the entertainment and staff was extremely nice and helped me with anything I needed. The only people who gave me problems were the ladies at the front desk who were not only rude but took their sweet time with everything even if they saw you were in a rush. Drinking water was not provided and the tap water was disgusting, the food was often served cold, the lobby has no air conditioning and it s nearly impossible to sit there for a long period of time, the rooms were never properly cleaned, the towels always came late and sometimes not at all, the alcohol was very low quality. This was my first experience of staying at an all inclusive resort and honestly I wouldn t do it again. Pay a little extra and stay at the Hyatt next door.

If you are on a budget, then this resort is the place for you. The food, drinks, entertainment and accommodations are all average, but affordable. They have day and night passes to offer as well.

We spent a week at the Breezes, and we miss it already and hope to be able to go back again! The staff are always friendly and accommodating, they have a person in the lobby to help set up excursions, but mainly enjoyed the nice clean beautiful beach front that they maintain.

Breeze's Bahamas is an excellent vacation stop, I definitely will be going back, the food was excellent, I have to tell the head chef thank you in person, the manager was awesome, she makes sure we were all comfortable, and the staff OMG, big you guys at breezes Bahamas

No service, no bottles water, beach was good but you had to go get your drinks in really long lines. Same with the burgers. And they ran out of beer at both bars by 4pm

I felt absolutely wonderful staying here for 6 nights! I was trying to figure out how I can change my return flight until a later date. As long as I could keep the room I had. You see, I came alone to have some me time. I did! I got the rest I needed terribly. I really wouldn't mind coming back again! In a heartbeat! All inclusive, great food, drinks, and live shows! Great staff!

This hotel is definitely on the older side but it is one of the most affordable all inclusive resort you can find in Nassau.

Pros: affordable, gorgeous beach front, 10 minutes bus from downtown, friendly staff, decent al la cart restaurant

Cons: A/C made our room humid, looks old, buffet is nothing extraordinary

We spent 4 days at the resort and although I love the brand, this hotel was my least favorite stay.
All inclusive dining hours was ok. You can literally eat and drink from 9am to midnight. Food was a lil bland. Not very Caribbean. But my beau kept reminding me it's not a part of the island chain. I Still expected more island flavors/cuisine and not the very American dining options.
The atmosphere was colorful not sexy nor romantic. Children arent allowed but they might as well be because there is nothing mature about the resort.

Nightly entertainment was interactive and fun.

If you rent s car you will have to park down the hill and across the street and walk across a busy street and up a hill to get to the resort. No valet service but parking is free.

The pool was being worked on so we couldnt enjoy that. I wish some mention of it was offered at front desk so other arrangements could have been made (we ended up spending our last day at Atlantis $44p/person, and well worth it).
Also, Beach wasnt really a go -to option because it was filled with seaweed. I'm not sure how beaches are cleaned of seaweed but it just gave the beach an overall dirty appearance and fishy smell
Also you can't really lay out on seaweed although some people did just that.
All of the treadmills in the gym were broken. So dont count on working out.

Do not pay extra for Oceanfront. It is literally the same as oceanview.
Wiith other chains, ocean front means you can walk out to the beach from your room. At this hotel, ocean front means your view faces the ocean. We were on the 5th floor.
Our traveling companions had ocean view. The ocean view faces the pool and the ocean and is just as remarkable. They were on the 7th floor.

We were told their ocean access option is called "beach front" and it's triple the regular rate (we werent given the actual rate, only told that it was triple the cost) because you get a personal concierge and butler service, but that option wasnt on their website so I'm not sure how you book it other than to ask on arrival.

The dining experience is really the only feature that kept this review above 2 stars. Local cuisine is going to run you about $20 per person per meal on the cheap side so an all inclusive option adds a tremendous value. Otherwise I would not recommend this resort.

Staff really are involved to make sure you enjoy your stay.

I would like to thank the resort and staff for a grate time every one was nice friendly and helpful and helping me get around to see the site's the room was nice. And clean the food was grate the resort over all was very nice I had a grate time thank you breezes

Beautiful Cable Beach, Good Food, Plenty of fun activities. Well worth it.

It's a "resort" only for retired elders that spends their time lodging and enjoying the white sandy beaches with a gluttony for alcohol and sea-food. This so called all inclusive resort isn't for today's youths that could enjoy their time invested with their use of interactive technology, media entertainment and culture. I've had a multitude of comments from affiliates and assessed polls that confirms most hotels in The Bahamas, especially Nassau are incapable of meeting their criteria. I recommend a associate from a SMMA in Minneapolis took his family and wasn't pleased with how the resort was false advertised with something different. They took his deposit and he never received it. Another one was a friend of mines from Austin and I had to apologies deeply for their time wasted during spring break of mistaken youths for spring breaker in college, they were already long in their careers! The rooms being obsolete, I wouldn't recommend but they have some potential if they were actually smart. There isn't anything that's remotely impressive about this resort either since you are better off with your time having a vacation or holiday in Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, perhaps Fiji. Customer service is terrible since almost every employees can't answer any of your inquires at a convenience, but hey "its better in the Bahamas"
If you take a second to ask your close friend who's had a fabulous week stay in say Panama and you ask him would he spend it over in Nassau, what do you think he would say? In my experience travelling back and forth from the U.S, you could get everything done in Nassau in just a day and still catch a flight at Miami heats game. Be cautious heading to these so called "4 or 5 stars" resorts, which aren't even listed in Forbes or AAA travel, with your family. In my honesty they will never procure even a most recommended from any of those prominent travel rankings and their services is sadly hot garbage, I would really love to see them improve themselves dramatically before they are outgun from competitors especially with AirBnB. Great for a day or two to experience, not worth the money but, if you just want to rest your head for a couple of days and enjoy what you had planned heading to the Bahamas, go for it, just not worth the spent for people who want the great travelling experiences, so as they say "you get what you pay for".

There is WiFi available. It works very well in the lobby and in the rooms. But, it didn t work in the restaurants or the buffet. The resort is smaller than others but that is not bad. The food was really good from the buffet. The Japanese restaurant was delicious. As for the French and Italian food it was okay. The pool grill had good food when the buffet and restaurants are not open yet. But overall delicious food. There is one big pool that has separated parts. A shallow pool and a hot tub. They make the drinks very strong so we had to ask for little alcohol for us lightweights. But they can make just about anything you ask for. The Godfrey special at the pool bar was a favorite of the whole family. The rooms got the job done and the bed were very comfortable. There is daily entertainment from bands to a magician depending on the day. Walking to the beach is easy but finding a seat on a busy day can be hard. We were able to snorkel and saw stingrays and sea turtles right on the resort s beach! People selling things walk the beach which can be annoying at times. Most all of the staff was friendly except at the front desk. There were some charges that we didn t know about and they told us at check in. When we asked why it didn t say it online the staff member replied you find out when you get here . And at check out we were charged $2.50 for a local call to our the company that was taking us to the airport. At check in they did not inform us that there are charges for local calls from the room phone. We were not informed of this because a trainee did our check in with no supervision of an experienced employee. Luckily, they didn t make us pay that charge but during this interaction a staff member was laughing at us for being upset. Their conduct really affected my view of the resort. Good thing you only have to see them when you get there and when you leave. I would definitely recommend this resort and would stay here if I ever go back to The Bahamas. I was truly impressed but all of it but disappointed in the conduct of staff.

Spent 7 days all inclusive. Had a great time on and off the resort. Food was good and employees were good. Slightly dated resort but only complaint. Will be bacm

Best all inclusive hotel in Nassau. Unlimited alcoholic and Nonalcoholic beverages. Buffet/ food grill available almost all day. Activities throughout the day hosted by the hotel and great atmosphere. Pool areas are relaxing and clean. Lobby entertainment and the stuff is most friendly. It's a bit of an older odor hotel but it was worth it other than that. The girl at front desk had a little attitude but everyone else was friendly.

Breezes is clean, comfortable and friendly. No tipping means less stress, and makes the excellent service all the more noteworthy. The food is homemade comfort food, fresh and delicious.

Breezes experience was pretty good. Food venues were good. Fun activities. Bars could be redone... amateur hour really. No shade to them but they did their best. Mixing should be done in a mixer...not 2 plastic cups. That's what www being down the entire time I was there. The bartenders and staff were friendly. Pools, beach lounge and activities area awesome. Just the bar again needs work and some other too shelf or middle shelf alcohol. They're serving $2 vodka and run bottle options. Experience overall was good

3.5 star All inclusive hotel with gorgeous private beach , good food, Not the best hotel in Cable beach but pretty close to it. Brand new 5 star luxury Baha Mar Grand hyatt is the only choice on the island and its next door!! Of course for twice the price, you will have fun at Breezes during the day, 10 min walk to Baha Mar casino at night after dinner and entertainment show @ breezes.
Flying Cloud excursion to Rose island with free snorkeling was nice choice and cheapest available. I will come back to Breezes Mrs Muna the owner was a great host. Its a shame they dont have a free shuttle to pick up passengers at the airport since its so close.

Beautiful view, amazing service, unlimited food and drinks, so much to do, and just a few feet away from the ocean. Mornings were my favorite, we woke up, had a great breakfast, and enjoyed our coffee on the beach.
We were looking for a relaxing vacation, so we went in late September. From reading the website and other reviews, I would recommend September for those who are not looking to party with college students.
Everyone at Breezes was smiling or laughing, they really seemed to enjoy their jobs and they provided excellent service. I saw them cleaning constantly, so I can assure you the place is clean. We were very happy with our stay at Breezes and highly recommend it.

It was beutiful and peacefull, also their is some reefs in the private beach area for snorkeling

Always the most respectful, hospitable souls in the world. Welcome home indeed! The food and drinks are never ending. The beach, pool & entertainment are well appreciated. The property needs a few reno s but, what gem doesn t have it s imperfections.

Great resort in Nassau. Awesome staff and the beach is beautiful. Only a 3 star resort, and they don't claim to be more, so you don't have amenities like room service. If you can do without the "extras" like room service, this is a wonderful resort and we'll worth the money

Was upgraded to a room and told it would ready in 1 hour. Came back and the room was never ready. I was given a room where the AC didn't work. It took 2 says for them to find us a new room.

The entertainment crew was fun. Pool is a bit small and the bar gets crowded. I recommend going to the piano bar. It was empty and some shows happen in there.

Restaurants get crowded and be careful they close at 7 and then reopen at 9 on first come first serve no reservations.

Very good food options at the specialty restaurants and they have the best stretch of beach along New Providence. Easy location if you want to hop a bus to downtown or catch the shuttle to casino next door. Good value based all-inclusive.

This hotel might not have big fancy rooms but the rooms are nice and clean. The people there are FABULOUS! Every employee there is great the restaurants are wonderful. When my wife told me about this place I did not believe her, I can't wait to go back, this time for 3 weeks!

I stayed here repeatedly over and over for anniversaries and the service,experience and people only got better every experience...the live junkanoo in the lobby and live music/local and international

workin near there on the side but never went inside

SECOND STAY:
We truly love the Breezes. Not because the place is amazing... Because it is outdated, but because the people here. The employee's and visitors alike. The employee's here work around the clock to make sure everyone has a very enjoyable time. Kyheil IS TRULY THE MOST AMAZING PERSON HERE YOU WILL MEET. He is part of the entertainment crew, but went above and beyond for us. Larry, Brittney, Reno,and Marven are all extremely wonderful as well. Management you should applaud your crew, because they are the reason we come back.

Staff is respectable breakfast is always great lunch is mouth watering dinner is a cultural trip midnight snacks leave you wanting more and the bars have everything

I enjoyed the resort. The people are very friendly. Loved the beach and the pool area. The bartenders were the best.

Pros:
-Close to the airport
-Local bus system at curb ($1.25 to go downtown)
-Great views of water and foliage
-Friendly staff
-Access to several excursions
-Wfi in rooms

Cons:
-Slow check in (20-30 per person)
-No AC in main lobby (where bar, entertainment, lounge is)
-Bar doesn't open until 10A
-Bar smelled of mildew and soiled rags
-Wifi doesn't work in common area
-Worst. Food. Ever. I have never had such terrible food in my life. The only meal that was even remotely edible was breakfast.

If you're wanting to get crunk and party then this is place. If you're wanting to relax and indulge move on.

We stayed here and really liked it. The staff was friendly and overall we had a great experience. However we could hear everything that was happening in the hallways which was a little weird especially when you hear someone yelling at their husband over an affair

The food was great and I really believe this is a great deal for what you pay. I have recommended this resort to all my friends travelling to the Bahamas.

Great place for a get away. No kids 14 and up .Needs a coffee update Service 10 out 10 clean and great breakfast and unch outside hamburgers and hot dogs conch fritters also jerk chicken three restaurants also needs to get rid of the smokers

This is our 4th time back. I was somewhat disappointed. The resort looked dated in some areas. You can see they are trying to keep it looking refreshed. There were no lights above the pool tables as an example. You can see at one time they had lights because there were holes in the ceiling. The lighting in the room was very poor also.

My biggest complaint was a $200 charge for a broken glass table top. While we were OUT OF THE ROOM a large wall mirror fell (they were doing work on the floor) and hit a dresser covered with protective glass and broke it. They had to come and replace the mirror on the wall and they removed all the glass from the table top. The day we checked out, they gave us a bill for $200. I disput4ed the claim and they said they will not bill it. However, it was billed on my charge. I am currently disputing the charge with the credit card company.

They employees for the most part were friendly except one lady at the activities desk.

I do not believe I will return again even though we married there years ago.

Good:
- service (food and drinks) was ok+ even if it was slow
- proximity to the ocean
- activities team (the people who run the activities near the pool and do the shows at night) are great and funny!

Bad:
- food was mediocre at best. The only good food is at the shack near the pool. (Don t you dare to go to the French restaurant)
- no water in the rooms and bottles are $5
- elevators didn t work well
- WiFi was extremely slow and didn t work most of the time
- Alcohol selection is limited to some local brands
- there is barely any shade on the beach. You ll need to rent a little pergola for $50/Day
- the room cleaning ladies woke us up every morning because they were talking to each other in the hallways so loudly

Very friendly staff, clean, safe and such a beautiful reaort.

Worse decision don t spend your money here. Staff is not helpful when accistance is needed. Old beach towels, food is okay, hot tub was really cold!!!
