These guys are great. I would not be into brewing as I am today if it wasn't for them. They are always super helpful and happy to answer my endless questions.

If you want to meet friends who will help you brew, come here. The staff is super friendly and super helpful to new brewers. Furthest thing from the other beer store purists in the valley.

Can always get stuff on the web for cheaper, but the markup is minimal and the knowledgeable staff is worth paying for. Thanks for all your help over the years!

Great LHBS. If you know what that means, you know it's good. Awesome staff, super fast ( Amazon quality ) turn around on orders by phone or internet. If you use them, you need no other brew supply until you get way, way exotic.

I m new to wine/beer making and The Beer Nut has everything you need to get started and become way more advanced. The staff are super knowledgeable, especially Chaz, who has helped me multiple times, answering all my newbie questions! I ll probably be calling ahead to make sure I can speak with him next time I m in!

The beer nut is always my go to provider for grain and brewing equipment they are all very helpful. I was able to get my decorator switched over with there help and after a few tries I even got carbonation. One of the employees or the owner not sure told me he would come over and help me get it working if I could not make it work but with their advice I got it working.

An excellent brewing supply store. Very knowledgeable staff. I recommend it for anyone from a beginner to a award winning home brewer.

Their website is not a good representation of the products available. They said they were going to turn a few things off that they no longer stock but they are still there. On a positive side, the kits they have will make starting out or specific interests very easy to handle.

All the staff are extremely friendly and knowledgeable. They always have what I need in stock and are always available to answer any questions. I will definitely be keeping my business here.

First time I went to this place three years ago, the staff was incredibly welcoming as a new brewer. My friend and I started brewing with a $50 kit we found on Amazon and hated it. We decided to pop in here and see what they had to offer and I'm so glad we did. The staff was very helpful, and helped us select one of their "BIAB" beer kits. It was just as easy as the one online, but the beer knocked our socks off. If you're new to brewing, definitely try one of their kits.

From there, this place has been so helpful with advice to make our beer better and better each time. I've even brought in a recipe once and the person at the shop helped wall through it with me and suggest changes.

Great no pressure environment where everyone is welcome to learn.

With any review, I like to leave a few cons. Equipment wise, you can sometimes find cheaper items in Amazon. But the knowledge you get from these guys is worth the extra few bucks. As for ingredient prices, they're very competitive. Second, their website is pretty clunky if you're into online shopping, but the team here is worth visiting!

This shop has all the stuff i need. Their grain selection is always awesome. The staff can recommend substitutions or entire recipes. Great gear including conversion kits for coolers, oxygen, fittings, etc.

Set my kegorator up with equipment from here as well as my go to shop for grain, yeast, accessories. After 6 months off the staff still remembers me.

Everybody talks about "art" but he is still brewing in the 1800s. The nut has all the modern gear!

The go-to, of course for brewing and winemaking supplies, but also for some other make-it-yourself in the kitchen supplies. I don't even drink beer and wine and I like this store. :) I recommend checking it out.

Super knowledgeable and friendly. I'm still pretty new to the hobby, and quickly realizing there a a billion different ways to go about making beer. I try to show up with recipes and some homework, and they usually have everything on my list. If they don't have it, they are knowledgeable enough to help me make substitutions. I'm impressed that I was able to phone in an order and the person who took my call knew all of the flavor profiles of any hops or grains that I was asking about. They've never given me any attitude about being a newbie and have always taken the time to explain things and make recommendations. I placed on order for three different batches today and they helped me order everything I needed and had everything ready when I showed up. A+ service, you guys rock! Thank you!

Wonderful homebrew supply shop catering to beer and wine makers. It lagged a bit for the last decade but is finally getting the sprucing up it's badly needed. Fairly well stocked and if they don't have it they can usually get it special ordered. Pretty convenient location to get to off the freeway.

Everything you need for home brewing. They have WL high gravity yeast so you can make jet fuel. They even carry quality honey if your a mead maker like myself. Friendly knowledgeable staff will help you find everything you need and they have very reasonable prices. Why buy online when you can speak to an actual home brewer about your purchases.

Great shop, has everything you need and at good prices. Tall guy with peppery hair is great to chat with and ask dumb questions. Shorter guy really doesn't want deal with questions replying to you with "what are you asking." Overall I'd come back

I've been going to the Beer Nut for about a year, and they are fantastic. I have always received quick and enthusiastic service. I can imagine one would get tired of teaching each new person who bought a started kit each step to brew beer. There are instructions with the kit and many books you can buy on the subject, and many of those books are available at the Beer Nut! Also, there is the internet. I was once a new brewer too, and, like any new hobby, it takes work and research, especially at the beginning. After my first few batches, we began writing our own recipes. The Beer Nut was so enthusiastic and willing to show us the ropes, like finding and grinding our own grains and picking the best hops for the batch. Not only that but the staff remembered us the next time and asked how our stout turned out. Eventually they helped us get equipped to start to all grain brewing, which has made our beers taste so much more unique. All in all, we are brewing twice a month and always get stoked to go to see the folks at the Beer Nut.

*also, they are open Sundays! Which is awesome.

This establishment is by far the best. You can call in grain-bills, they are always friendly and willing to answer questions for any level of Homebrewer.

I look forward to visiting here even though it's not the closest shop to my house. Definitely my "home" Homebrew Shop.

As a first time brewer, this was the place to be. Prices are marked up a tiny tiny bit, but the information I got from the employees (Devin is THE MAN!) was well worth it. My first batch is comfortably fermenting. I m excited to return to The Beer Nut again soon :)

Nice to have an alternative Brew store. I like to buy from all three brew stores along the wasatch, but I usually go to salt city brew supply, I was getting ready to go to SCBS. I called them and they were getting ready to close. I called The Beer Nut and they were open 30 minutes longer just enough time for me to get there safely. The service is good and usually have some good feedback with the recipes I'm putting together. Arts Brew supply is usually closed when I'm putting something together or I'd go there more often. The One thing I like about the Beer Nut is the Hours of operation, The one thing I wish they would do is have a suggested recipe of the month, Sometimes i'm in the area and stop in to just see whats available. If they had a chalk board with a SROM They would make more money off of me!

I went in because I was to impatient to wait for some chemicals/additives online. Their pricing was fair and on a few of my items I already ordered I realized I could have gone here and saved money and had my items sooner. This will be my first stop from now on! Thanks Dave for verifying you had my item and also holding it for me til I got there.

I've always had great service while in the store. The staff are knowledgeable and really have a passion for brewing. I've placed two online orders and experienced awesome customer service both times.

On the first order, they were out if stock in the gluten free ingredients, and still honored the free shipping! On my second order, it was my first time ordering a hard cider kit. I didn't know about the 2lbs of dextrose needed in addition to the kit. Chaz included a hand written letter explaining the need for it AND included the dextrose for free! So I recently got back into home brewing and went here for my kit and supplies. They're very knowledgeable but sold me some pricey stainless steel equipment that I later found I didn't really need and so I returned them. But hey I'm one of those people that's willing to compromise on things save a dollar guess I'm not a real Brewer LOL

Great staff they have helped me up my brewing game!

The staff was too busy doing their own thing (laughing and play/flirting with each other) to answer a simple malt related question. The store wasn't super busy infact, it was 2pm on a Wednesday. The complete opposite of busy. If you don't know exactly what you want, I would suggest going somewhere else. Unless of course you enjoy being belittled and treated as sub human for not acting like a know-it-all-hipster-beer-aficionado.
While they do have a good selection, I will not be going back for anything short of a beer emergency. It's a shame because they are so close to me geographically. I will be taking my business to the much more helpful and friendly salt city brew supply.

They sold me six month old yeast. BeerSmith estimates the viability of the yeast at 21% but they charged me 100%. I should have paid attention but this is the first time I've had a brew store hose me like that.

I went to see how this place looked today after I was off work. It being Sunday I expected it to be open till 5 and I arrived at 4:10pm to find lights off and door locked. Idk about everyone else but I at least don't want to be lied to about store hours.

Went in and got a starter kit and a recipe kit. Great experience. The beer is in the fermenter! Thanks.

The Beer Nut has been my go to home-brew store since 2004. This is a great shop with friendly and enthusiastic employees that are more than willing to help with questions, trouble shooting, recipe building, etc. Highly recommended!
