Good restaurant to eat very close to the beach. Good quality.

2nd visit here lovely staff and the food is fab.Had brunch here as a 50th birthday treat for my mum really enjoyed .Great range of cake & alot of vegetarian/vegan choices.Out door seating available.
Well equipped for current circumstances definitely recommend.

First time I've been but well worth a visit, let the kids or grandchildren burn themselves out on the beach then head inside for a nice meal or ice-cream.

Best place to eat by the beach. The atmosphere is relaxed and service is fast and efficient. The menu is a bit restricted but good enough for a nice meal by the sea

Delicious bacon butty and coffee, very friendly and helpful staff, very prompt service. I got my bacon just how I like it (Crispy) and staff very helpful with allergy information, will definately go again, stunning views too. They are taking covid seriously, loads of hand gel for everyone to use and getting people to fill in their details. Plenty of space between tables. The cafe is very airy and there are 2 doors to use and a separate window for takeaway orders so no need to go inside.

Great cafe along the promenade at Portobello. Friendly staff, offers a range of lunch options such as paninis and soup. There's a specials board, a variety of cakes on rotation (displayed at the front). The Bakewell was exceptional. Teas, good coffee and smoothies also on offer and of course fantastic view of the sea.

A really nice location. We went between Christmas and New year and it was lovely. Food was fresh and delicious with a nice buzz about the place. The cakes looked good and the coffee was excellent. All very clean and with good staff. Was good value.

Very welcoming and friendly staff, we got sat immediately and drinks/food was taken quickly despite how busy it was so the staff is great! We ordered breakfast and they came quite fast and my goodness when they did arrive it was just too good. I was actually sad that it had to finish. The ingredients were fresh and tasted amazing. Really great prices too and the cleanliness and decor was spot on If you're in portobello and want a great place that's cozy to chat and eat/drink then look no further. We'll definitely be going back here soon!

Great location, service a bit slow, food over cooked, breakfast time.

A very popular cafe right next to the beach which uses fresh, locally sourced, organic ingredients to create their delicious breakfasts, lunches and cakes. They're often busy, but the wait is worth it. If it's a nice day, try to grab one of the tables outside so you can sit right next to the beach. They even have vegan options clearly marked on the menu.

Is my favourite port of call for Breakfast while up in Edinburgh... Amazing food, friendly service and great views! What else could you ask for!

But the short hair blonde with glasses polish lady is terrible...always scrathes her underarms infront of everyone make other staff work hard and herself she only chat...hardly seen her working

Pretty place & ice cream looked amazing but waited ages for a table then sat and waited ages more only to have the table next to us cleared, reseated and served before anyone made eye contact with us. We slipped back out unnoticed.

I don t know how to review this cafe. The toffee cake is a little bit sweet but can be tolerated. The first latte is full of creamy foam seems no coffee in it. Although the waiter agreed to change a new one for me ,the new one seems worth ,without any flavor, just flat like water...... Honestly I have a really bad impression with this cafe!!!

Good location, nice helpful staff and a good bacon sandwich with coffee deal before 11am. Good wide range of other lunch options too.

The Beach House is set in a beautiful location with wondrous views on a sunny day, knowing Portobello I imagine the views are spectacular whatever the weather. The cafe has a lovely atmosphere and bright modern decor, it's comfortable and very pleasant. The menu is pretty basic, but what they do they do very well, the food was excellent and obviously freshly made. The only couple of tiny niggles were that the homemade lemonade was warm, putting a few lumps of ice in it didn't change that and the service was pretty slow. Despite a good number of friendly and polite servers, food just wasn't coming out of the kitchen very fast. They didn't seem particularly busy, there were a few tables empty despite arriving at the height of lunch service. It took almost half an hour from arriving to being served our food, which is a bit long for 2 sandwiches and a panini. It was however delicious, including the small side salad. I can thoroughly recommend The Beach House, they just need to tighten up the service a little.

Has been extended and so is now open for evening meals. Apple, toffee & cinnamon cake was baked on the premises and was truly scrumptious, all washed down with a very nice cup of tea. Would definitely recommend a visit.

Nice caffee next to sea. Polite weitress. Nice atmosphere. Clean. Perfect soup.

Ordered takeaway for breakfast. Took forever to cook bacon rolls. Rolls were hard and dry and barely any bacon in them. Not worth the price! Not even an apology for taking so long. Over priced. Won't be back, which is a shame as the place looked pretty.

Great place for a cozy cuppa and a bite to eat by the sea. I often visit to get my admin work done and it's a nice atmosphere to work in, although the beautiful view can be slightly distracting when im supposed to be working its a welcome one.
