Unprofessional Av staff it is acceptable for art centres AV staff to swear at performances.
Good venue to watch a show, food pretty good quality at reasonable prices, parking is expensive
We went to see a show here. Fantastic venue very modern and comfortable. Cafe and drinks bar a little expensive but good food and coffee available. Can be expensive for a family.
Beautiful exhibition and it was even for free, staff was very helpful
Always a great experience there. Well organised in the middle of the city. Walking distance from the founders station.
The place is well later out and absolutely beautiful place with an outdoor pool area.
Love watching shows at the art centre. I've used their parking many times and come in by train either way it's easily accessible. Last night we watched Dream Lover - Bobby Darin story, David Campbell....what a voice and just simply charismatic, the beautiful Marina Prior is and always will be a star and the rest of the cast were just amazing. The art cetre is a perfect place for musicals, great facilites and helpful staff.
Friendly, helpful staff, Hamer Hall is a great theatre. Buzzing atmosphere.
Just love every visit always something new to discover.. Great way to spend time viewing for free
Went to see West side story, great show and atmosphere
Must visit place in melbourne to experience spectacular beauty of arts and culture
The art selection is pretty good and the special events are great.
Always something on, very vibrant place. Their ticketing system is great, you can purchase online (with fee, why they do that I don't know. Shouldn't it be other way around?) and pick up at the venue.
Even with few different theatres/hall in one place. The design of the venue feels very cosy.
A intering place to cultural heritage and Moment display is really worth a visit.
The State Theatre and Arts Centre complex are stunning!
Great place to visit. At first my wife and I went to the wrong building but there were plenty of helpful staff. The building we went to has wonderful 70s style architecture.
So many different venues at the Arts Centre, always something interesting happening. It is not only a great place but conveniently located: a short walking distance from the train station and it has a very big underground parking which can be booked in advance. Fantastic!
Australian Girls Choir performances were fantastic.
Fantastic!
The entire experience was great, the food was outstanding and the staff couldn't do enough for us. A really good night in one of me new favorite places.
Had a function here and it was incredible. Food was delicious and staff were fantastic
The space under the stained glass roof, the surreal garden, and the variety of exhibits. Become a Member and use the Members Room.
Excellent performance, uncomfortable seats and not great wine choices
Great art!
Great kids activities!
Still an exciting and vibrant place after all these years - and a much better performance venue than the Opera House.
Great venue but staffing is a serious issue - arrive early for your show or you will be queuing at the bar for 30 mins and you'll miss the start!
Elegant ,warm ,humbling
this venue has presence
An absolutely fantastic exhibition, really immersed myself into the Arts and culture of the Triennial was amazing. The staff were lovely and the surrounding entertainment was outstanding. Well worth the short walk/tram ride among the hustle and bustle!
Great place to visit and it s free, at least was on our visit there.
Amazing! Went to see a show in the Playhouse Theater.. Fabulous!
A great place to visit. My first time there and loved the experience
Very convenient parking, good food, central location - a short walk to the Galleries, parks and cafes.
Love going to performances here. So luxurious and excellent sound
We all enjoyed a meal at Teatro, Chicago & convenient parking
Brilliant venue for an array of wonderful and entertaining performances
Recently attended the NGV Triennial exhibition with my daughter & her friend. It was a wonderful visual interactive experience. Highly recommended.
Loved the gree exhibition of Australian Rock music
Exhilarating experience, can spend the whole day here.
Great place. Hadn't been there for years.
Went and saw The boy from Oz a few weeks ago.
Loved it.
Great place with poor signal. Nice shows but short opening times.
I like that I am always going to, there are different arts, new and amazing displays of art, it makes me think and reflex about how the art became too important nowadays, before I didn't know about that the art meant
I visit the Arts Centre at least once a fortnight, and they've never disappointed me. Their show offering is vast and exciting, the premises are well maintained and the seating plan and acoustics are phenomenal. It's also one of Melbourne's most iconic buildings, so even if you're visiting and don't have time to see a show there, it's still worth a visit.
Not bad for a work function venue. Quite a lot of space.
A must see. Easy to get to, by train or tram. Great photo opportunities. Toilets for everyone. disabled access. Art work carefully presented with detailed crafted signage and supplementary aids and assistance.
Cant take a Zara shopping bag into the the gallery, idiodic rules.of course they have to somehow make money off cloak room. Love my well spent tax dollars.
Really enjoyed watching the nutcracker with my kids..
Good signage, warm & elegant. Helpful ushers. Great view of stage even from balcony
