Alway like to visit the Art Center and take my time to see what new display the gallery has to offer
Solid theatre and was great to see the state theatre company utilising it. There s also lovely markets there on the weekend. Decently worth checking out both!
Beautiful complex, loved Evita at the state theatre . Complex not the best for disabled people with walker still steps and long walk to elevator. Could be better
A most wonderful concert /entertainment venue...world class
Spectacular facility that showcases the best of local and international arts, always have amazing shows & exhibitions.
Great recitals, theatre, musicals and instrumental music
Attending a kids show.
Things to know:
Parking is capped at $17 for a morning weekday session.
Don t bother with a pram from the carpark - you ll only use it for 100-500m and then need to cloak it at the box office anyway. Safe your time and use a carrier.
Baby change facilities are in a disabled toilets (won t find this info on signage or on the website)
If booking within a week of the show you must collect the tickets at the box office
You can take your own food (cold) into the theatre
Take your photos with signage after the show - way less busy
A beautiful,interesting, educational,accessible place to visit
Well laid out and caters for all facets of the arts
We absolutely loved the art center. The best experience in Melbourne! !!!
Melbourne's art centres often have world-class art exhibitions that are worth a visit.
The arts center looks like Eiffel Tower of Melbourne.
Rare unique art collections. Located very near to flinders street station
When I visit Melbourne for the Australian Open I always try see a show at the Arts Centre. I saw Evita which was great and Tina was incredible. Unfortunately it was overshadowed by a horrible experience with a staff member named Dior....she spoke down to us and was completely unprofessional. I brought my cousin who has a disability and she treated him like a second class citizen and almost gave him a panic attack. It was traumatic for the both of us. I m amazed this hateful women has a job
Arts capital of Australia, why wouldn't you give it 5 stars?
Great venue, acoustics are outstanding. Staff are lovely and very accommodating
Went and saw a show and had dinner next door really nice theatre and staff very helpful and friendly would recommend for sure while in Melbourne.
Hamer hall is a fantastic venue. Sat in the stalls to see Chris Rock. Heaps of leg room, comfy seats, beautiful high ceiling with floating lights and incredible architecture/interior design
