What a wonderful venue with wonderful sound. Wonde...
What a wonderful venue with wonderful sound. Wonderfully intimate. I have literally nothing negative to say about this place! I only hope to have the opportunity to see more shows here!

The Ark is a fantastic listening space and I would recommend that everyone go see a concert there. It provides a rare opportunity to see acts in an intimate space with great sound quality. It seems like almost every seat in the house is great.
A great venue for some great talent! Such a wonderful organization that offers artists a place to perform and patrons an affordable place to enjoy them! Today I went there with my son for Sonic Lunch that had been rained out. The Ark opened there doors to shelter us and The Accidentals. Wonderful!!
Great intimate venue with even better acoustics!!! Although they're a nonprofit it seems they're doing a great job updating the building and getting great performers!!! My husband and I had a GREAT date night here!!!
Very cool place to see a concert friendly staff awesome venue.
A really nice concert venue, great Listening room, only knock on it would be that have Festival seating which means you have to get there early in order to get a good seat. The good part is there really aren't any bad seats. The sound is always good there.
Great venue for live music, can t wait to go back! We saw We Banjo 3 for the first time, awesome show!
Amazing concert by the community high school jazz program! Perfect venue to showcase up and coming jazz musicians.
Intimate listening room in downtown Ann Arbor for all kinds of musicians. Reserved seating for members, general seating for everyone else. Alcohol sold to members.
Good venue for root and Americana music. Not a dive bar, not that there anything wrong with that.
Great venue. Great music. Friendly staff/ volunteers. Recommended !!
Great place for an intimate show. The acoustics were awesome! Alot of talent has been there!
Very friendly staff (all volunteers) and not a bad seat in the house. It's the perfect place to see a performance.
The Ark is an Ann Arbor treasure! It's always worth the 100 mile drive from Kalamazoo to see the excellent artists hosted there. The volunteers and employees are incredible.
Great theater
Had a really good time at the "Birds of Chicago" Concert we went to. If you want to purchase alcohol you need to be a member of the Ark which costs as little as 5 bucks.
My favorite venue for live music. Some of the best concerts I've ever been to have been at The Ark.
Intimate concert venue with excellent acoustics. I always enjoy the music here! Seating is a a bit close, but still comfortable. Popcorn & drinks available, but the popcorn is not very good at all...really the only downside, the popcorn lol!
Local venue that hosts both local and national acts. Become a member if you want to grab an alcoholic beverage. Sound system is excellent, and seating is cozy.
The Ark is a delightful part of the fabric of folk and contemporary music. Great music in downtown Ann Arbor.
Great place to see live entertainment.
Small enough that there is not bad seat in the house.
2nd time I've been here for a show called "Open Book" by the lead singer of Blue October, Justin Furstenfeld. No matter where you sit, great sound throughout.
Love the place. Needs a better sound system though.
Best music venue in the region. Nice sound quality. People go there to appreciate the music, not to party
The best music venue hands down. We don't even deserve it!
What an amazing venue !!! If you like good music, this is an absolute must-have venue
Not cool that you need a membership to purchase alcohol.
This is the most intimate venue I've ever been too. If you ever have the option to see a concert at the Ark I'd highly recommend you go.
Once you go to a show at the Ark, you will be a fan forever.
Very beautifully designed room that has its own music history attached to it. I went to see a musical artist perform here and it was such a nice intimate space that had beautiful acoustics. Would see a random artist here just to hear them play here.
The space is intimate. The crowd is polite. The acts I've seen are great. This is one of my favorite venues ever.
Enjoyed it. Very delightful showcase. The artists are mostly unique and specialize in alternative sounds & underground genres.
Great intimate venue. National acts as well as local/regional
A smaller venue for shows but provides a more personal experience. Great for seeing lesser known bands. Relatively easy to find, very friendly staff and had a bar. Made for a very nice date night out.
Intimate venue for wonderful concerts. Great sound!
The music was great.vDo not like that they took rlthe comfortable theater seats out and put stacking chairs in. In the reserved seating area it is difficult to get around someone that is in the aisle because there is no where to go.
A great intimate venue for a show. I saw Victor Wooten here and it was amazing.
Nice venue. A little over priced for what it is with DTE drink prices, but it's a cool small place to see a show. I would go back.
Hidden gem of a venue! So intimate, well- kept, and acoustically fantastic! The volunteers are always friendly and helpful.
Beautiful, quiet non-profit venue with an acoustic atmosphere and friendly vibes. Great place to catch a quick show after a nice dinner at the various eats in downtown Ann Arbor.
My absolute favorite place to see a show. They just did a big renovation to the sound and lights. I wish I lived closer. I'd go to way more shows... Even artists I've never heard of because chances are it'll be a great experience.
Awesome venue for any performance. Great volunteers. Try take a chance Tuesday for free!
Intimate, cozy atmosphere for highlighting new, old, & unique but amazingly talented musicians.
Amazing venue! Small and personal. Great experience!
This place is fantastic. Clean, well designed and beautiful. The staff is so kind and helpful. It's clear they have a passion for music.
Great music (Peter Asher and Jeremy Clyde), cool venue, fun evening.
One of the best venues for a live show, small enough that even the farthest seats are good.
Unfortunately, not what I hoped for. Our band was three hours late, which was not the venue's fault. However, the way it was handled was pretty terrible. I didn't get the person's name, but we were yelled at when we tried to get information on the band's status. The staff downstairs made up for her confusion by taking good care of us. That's why I gave it another star. The venue has some issues, but it's not all bad.
While I've seen less than a half a dozen shows here through the years, I have always enjoyed them.
My main experience here is as a long time attendee of the open mic night.
The Ark's open stage happens one Wednesday most months.
it's a fun show so whether you want to perform or not you can show up and have a great time. You may catch some first time performers and you are likely to catch some seasoned pros.
Ann arbor's talent it has always been spectacular.
The ark brings out the best.
If you're a performer, this stage is one of the most fun to play and the audience is simply the best!
One of my absolute favorite venues to come to! An intimate setting that plays folk and other small indie bands over 300 nights of the year. Family friendly and a great place to come to relax and listen to good music, no matter when. Highly recommended!
Great venue. Music sounds great and comfortable seating. They have drinks and very limited snacks.
One of the most amazing places to see an artist. Such an intimate venue with not a bad seat in the house. Every show we've seen here has been an experience to remember.
Great sound in listening room. Comfortable venue that brings in a variety of talented musicians
In my home state! Great staff, and great intimate room to perform & hear Music in!
BY FAR my favorite place to see live music. Call Michigan Union ticket office to reserve seats instead of using the website to save on the processing fee.
Intimate venue with awesome staff brings in some of the best live music around - a must visit - again and again!
The best little venue this state has to offer. They truly bring in top notch artists for you're listening pleasure.
Awesome as always. Great venue, not a bad seat in the house and an awesome show.
Went with my daughter elementary school awesome experience!
Easily one of the nicest things about Ann Arbor is The Ark! This venue for watching music is second to none. It is a relatively small space (350ish seats), so it feels intimate. The bar has a great selection of snacks, coffee and drinks. The acoustics have never failed me. The staff are a lovely group of volunteers who welcome everyone with smiling faces. Really, go to a show here once and you're hooked.
Had general admission tickets even without being first in line we still ended up with great seats.
