TestTakers Review

TestTakers was an amazing opportunity for me to learn and grow as a test taker. I would recommend this to anyone and everyone hoping to improve on their ability to do well on the SAT/ACT. The staff and site directors are not only kind and funny, but they also genuinely care for their students. I loved the experience so much that I now work as a staff assistant for one of the sites! SAT preparation is a really stressful experience, but the teachers and site directors at TestTakers make it an awesome one.

Without Test Takers, I wouldn t be considering some of the top universities in the country. Before, I had private tutors that didn t add to my knowledge of the SAT. With the structure of the class, along with the enthusiastic and intelligent teachers (that knew every detail about the SAT), I was able to improve my score by 260 points. The course was worth every penny. I will never be the Joe Bloggs while taking the math portion ever again!

Participating in TestTakers was a GREAT decision. The teachers all instill confidence in their students through effective test strategies. TestTakers not only leaves you well prepared for the SAT, but it was also a lot of fun! I highly recommend!

I LOVED Test Takers. What sets this program apart from any other SAT prep program is that Test Takers teaches you innovative strategies to go about the SAT problems, rather than just copying off of an existing prep book. In addition, the teachers are energetic and encouraging, making class an enjoyable experience. This is the BEST test prep course that one can take in New York. Being one of the most organized centers I have attended, I felt I was guaranteed to succeed in these classes. That feeling was not met with disappointment. My score improved by 300 points after taking this course. This was mirrored in the actual SAT and I was able to get into a top 20 school because of it. The price is 100% worth it. The teachers are carefully vetted and I had the pleasure of learning from extremely helpful and enthusiastic teachers. It was EXTREMELY easy to reach them by email and cell.

In conclusion, if you want to do well on the SAT, take this course. If you want to get into a great college, take this course.

While my goal was to attend some one of the top universities on the county, my SAT score was far below that goal. The teachers at the Manhattan Center were honestly the most dedicated and helpful teachers I've ever come across and helped me boost my score by 300 points! The staff and teachers really help you feel confident and well prepared for test day, and go to almost any length to help you improve. TestTakers is simply the best way to get an amazing SAT score!

Test Takers is the best course when it comes to taking the SAT. The summer before starting test takers, I had taken a Kaplan course and it was not nearly as helpful as Test Takers was. Test takers also has incredible teachers, each who know a lot about what they re teaching and they do it in a very fun way. I remember being excited for my classes and it was all because of the great environment that the teachers created. The teachers are also very approachable and I even remember one of them staying nearly an hour after class ended to help students with some extra math problems. Test Takers also give so many extra and free sessions throughout the course which help put their program over the top. Even if you aren t happy with your score the first time, test takers gives you an entire set of free sessions to help with your next SAT. Their course helped me improve my score by 200+ points and they did all of that while making the material fun and understandable.

The tutors are fun, the material is taught thoroughly in a way that really allows you understand it, and the overall experience helped me prepare for the SAT!

The people who run the program are amazing, and do a great job of teaching the strategies needed to improve your test grades. Amazing tutors who make studying for the SAT fun. The tutors are excellent teachers and know exactly how to pinpoint students weaker areas. Their methods are proven to work as my score went up 140 points in just a few weeks. I would recommend TestTakers to any student looking to improve their test scores. I have no doubt that students will be satisfied with their improvements and use the skills they hone at TestTakers throughout their academic careers and into their adult lives.

TestTakers was unlike any other SAT prep I've ever heard of. It was very enjoyable, and they give you really smart tricks and techniques to help you increase your score as much as possible. They even offer free "Spotlight" sessions every Thursday to review what you're learning. The teachers are so fun and they really make TestTakers so different by being so enthusiastic and being experts at the SAT themselves. It's definitely worth it and makes you feel very prepared for the SAT.

I've taken Princeton Review and TestTakers both for the SAT. My score never improved from 1200, but after TestTakers I got a 1520. They gave great advice, techniques, and lessons for the SAT. They were very flexible working with my busy highschool schedule and also provided free extra help outside of the class and for the ACT.

This program improved my SAT scores dramatically. I felt prepared and confident going into the real test after completing the course. The staff was encouraging and resourceful. I would highly recommend.

I took TestTakers a year and a half ago, to prepare for the SAT and the PSAT. I took it due to a recommendation from a friend who became a National Merit Scholar after taking the course. I had some unfortunate circumstances in which I had to take the PSAT while extremely sick and the SAT 3 months after the TestTakers course ended with only the faint memories from the class to prepare me for the SAT. Despite these setbacks I got a near perfect score on the PSAT, became a National Merit Scholar, got a full ride to Fordham, and saw my SAT score increase by 250 points. TestTakers gave me the tools to do well despite my serious setbacks. They also had engaging teachers that made something as boring as SAT review fun.

I loved the class! The teachers care a lot for the students and the class sizes are small. It brought my SAT score up by a lot.

I took the SAT as a sophomore and never would have gotten the scores I did, or a 1600 superscore, without Naka and the TestTakers program. They were SO accommodating and answered all my questions, whenever I had any.

I took the fall SAT course in 2015. Before the course I had a 1350 SAT score. After taking the course I got a 1590! From the first day of class I already felt more comfortable and less threatened by the test. The teachers are extremely invested in their jobs and are always willing to help. The course provides you with spotlight classes and with diagnostic tests that continously help you keep track of your progress. I dont think I'd ever be going to my dream school without Testtakers. Forever thankful to have found this course!

In the beginning, Test Takers had me feeling I've picked the right place for my SAT prep. However, due to their lack of organization, I felt I was cheated on with the classes. It was VERY hard to reach them by cell and email. Yes, the notes were general and good for the new SAT. Was it worth $2000 (note: this is the price with a coupon off of several hundreds of dollars)? No, I don't think a binder with packets of SAT prep is worth that amount of money. To be honest, Test Takers is only here to make money by making the first Diagnostic Test very very hard to the Last Diagnostic Test to be super easy. This will help market their own business to present their data of students improving. Some teachers do care, but overall they're all mediocre.

Overall Thoughts: If you have $2000 to spare and you need to start a very easy and general practice somewhere to familiarize with the SAT, take Test Takers. However, your actual score won't jump by 150 + points unless you attend a real tutoring place that'll go more in depth with this standardized test.

TestTakers is a unique course that combines incredibly funny and engaging instructors with innovative test-taking strategies and methods that help students really learn and remember the material. Taking the course raised my score by over 200 points, and helped me get into all of the schools I applied to! The practice material and exams are very accurate to the actual SAT, and were a good predictor of how I would perform on the exam. The breakdown of my performance on the practice tests was very helpful in identifying problem areas and where I need to focus more of my time in preparation for the exam. The teachers are fantastic and I recommend the highly course to anyone interested in taking the SAT and have no doubt that students will be highly satisfied with their results and carry skills they learned with them into their future lives!

This course was a game changer! My dream was to attend a BS/MD program, but my SAT practice scores were hundreds below what they needed to be to even be considered. I came to TestTakers and told them what I wanted to get my score to and my site director and teachers went above and beyond to put me on a track to reach that goal. Along with the basic course curriculum, they provided me with designed extra practice that really gave me the edge I needed. The teachers and site directors are super friendly and make it a point to get to know each of their students. I ended up improving my score by over 600 points and got into a great 7 year medical program!

TestTakers was such an amazing experience! The classes were so intense yet so entertaining that the 4 hours of class flew by ever sunday! (Plus makeup days and especially spotlights were so helpful!) All the teachers are so amazing, they are available to you 24/7, during and out of class for any questions you have or anything that you need help with. They approach the SAT with such grace yet such intensity that makes you feel instantly more comfortable with the test. I dont know where I would be withought TestTakers right now! TestTakers brought my SAT score up by 190 points. I found the techniques I learned there to be useful and the teachers to be very helpful. After taking the course, I was able to take my SAT only one time and achieve my goal score. I also had a great time going to the classes; they were always very entertaining!

At the beginning of the year I took a SAT workshop that went from January to March at the Scarsdale location. Each session was four hours long and were a type of agonizing and challenging class. When I was taking the workshop my concentration was not focused on the classes but on my regular school work so I did the bare minimum of the work. When I received the my SAT scores I was surprised to obtain a 1450 on the test. This workshop is honestly the one that prepared the best for the test. For two years before taking the test I was taking classes in Flushing such as MEGA and AIM Academy. The sessions in Testtakers were structured and most importantly revealed tips that were fundamental to take the test.

TestTakers was an amazing experience! I signed up for it because my friends in the grade above raved about it and I m glad I did! While it helped my score improve by over 200 points, the learning atmosphere is quintessential. I had a wonderful time being apart of the SAT preparation program and I will be recommending the program to others because of it!

Great experience overall! The faculty is very outgoing and genuinely cares about the success of their students. My final SAT score increased incredibly in comparison to my first PSAT score. I always recommend this SAT prep to students looking to prepare for the SAT.
