I don't eat meat but my kids love meat. They loved this place. The good that cool the meat were real nice to show them how the meat was cooked in the back. They will be back the next time we are in town... Not me

Phenomenal. This is the best BBQ joint I've been to so far in Austin. Not the best I've been to in Texas but Austin for sure. Lively and clean restaurant to dine in with friendly service. Still yet to try Franklin's but this place is worthy of a visit.

Awesome: the beef ribs were amazing, falling off the bone, juicy.
The same is true for the brisket. Sausegas was awesome too. Others in the party said the pork ribs were also good.

Recommended place to visit while in Austin.

Terry Black's was recommended to us by an Uber driver while we were visiting Austin. We tried their brisket and turkey breast and both were delicious. Best brisket of our trip, it melts in your mouth. Potato salad was very good too.

The best cut of brisket I've ever had. Not too bad a line also if you come at the right time. The meat is great, the sides are great, and the atmosphere is really nice too. I'm a BBQ aficionado and this is in my top three for sure. 100% recommend.

Reasonable prices for great tasting Tx BBQ. The portions are great, but make sure you aren't showing up near closing because your menu options decrease. Went there three times while in the area on business.

One of the BEST bbq places we ever had! The whole environment will make you hungry. You can see the bbq house. There is usually quite a line to get into the restaurant. Too choose your sides and drinks and then order your meat. We took each lb of brisket, ribs and the shredded beef. The order is made in front of you. The beef ribs were out of the world!!! Don't forget to order ribs, you will enjoy it. The brisket was pretty salty but tasted really good. They also have unlimited breads to have with it. TOO GOOD.

This was my first time in Austin and the very first place I visited for lunch. Everything was top-notch. I have to say, I went to other BBG places and this one was the best in my opinion.

I'm back in NY now and found out I can order their food online! That's a big win for me, cheers!

The best BBQ I have ever had. The rest can go home now.

We had the small family platter plus a beef rib (shared with two adults, two kids) there was enough leftovers for two more meals. And it all was so good!

Don t let the long lines fool you, it moves very fast and your patience will be rewarded. Fatty brisket and pork ribs were exceptional, sausages were up to snuff but nothing extraordinary. All the sides were excellent especially the green beans and mac and cheese. Also, an impressive list of Texas beers, mostly in cans available while you stand in line.

This place knows its stuff well. The brisket was tender and smoked well. Ribs were above average and sausages was average. Indoors dining areas are limited due to social distancing. Outdoor dining areas are available. Parking can get packed during peak hours. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Ooh boy.

Ooh boy.
Between 2 of us, 1 beef rib and a sausage with a small mac and cheese was more than enough.
Beef fell right off the bone barely forking at it.
Amazing.

Best BBQ I know of in Austin that is reasonably accessible. I've had Franklin's and Terry's is on par. Haven't had the pleasure of doing a side by side comparison, but based on memory Terry' brisket is just as good as Franklin's, but without the "camp out". Terry's sides are all well done and unique.

Great if you like ribs & Brisket but if you eat chicken do go there or turkey... Is very limited they ran out right before I got to the front of the line so, I basically ate corn bread and green beans... I can't go back because there's nothing there for me... But my friends loved it so, I give them 4 stars :-)

Best Texas barbecue I've ever eaten. The line is long but it goes fast, the brisket (sliced rib) is amazing and the accompaniments are very good. In the range of 25 total per person, so it's not cheap, but it eats up very well. rustic and typical of the region, it is a must in the city.

The best bbq brisket I've had in my life. They have a variety of meats including sausages and ribs, which are good but the brisket was the highlight. It was flavorful and melted in my mouth. The sides are decent too. It's a cafeteria style place where you pay for the food by weight

If you're in or around Austin you need to go here. Lines can get long so it's best to go a little bit before or after normal meal times but it's totally worth it. Some of the best brisket around and the pork ribs are perfect. They have really good Mac and cheese also. Parking lot is a bit small but I'm usually able to find parking in their lot or nearby. Highly highly recommend
