Awesome cabins, people are very friendly. Will come back!!!!
Oh man. It was a spur of the moment decision to stop here and I am so glad we did. I wanted to see wild bison and I got my wish. This was my first time to Wyoming and the first thing I did. The train was a little noisy but I could still hear the announcer over the PA system. Feeding the bison was so much fun and there were so many babies! The guide said there were around 21 babies and they were so cute! The Trading Post was clean and the staff friendly and helpful. Lots of souvenirs as well. The horses are beautiful and there are lots of other animals as well. It was a good choice to stop there.
LOVE THIS PLACE!!!
Alot of history, excellent guides and you can hand feed bison, what's not to love.
The ladies in the gift shop were really nice.
Nice and friendly RV park. Every thing is very rustic but the nicest RV park in the area.
Fun place. I just wish people would clean up after there pets.
Great little getaway. Love the Bison train and the other animals on the ranch. The little cafe by the train has a great breakfast but it's only between 7-9am. Perfect for the two of us. The cabin was nice, too. Drove into the city to check out the sights and ate in town.
We had fun. Enjoyed petting some colts and alpacas. We also went on an ATV tour that was fun to ride and saw wildlife. Cool
Took the family up here for the Bison Train tour. My three year old loved it! Our guide was great and it really was a neat experience. They had 5 baby buffalo that were all just a few days old! It was a lot of fun to feed all of them.
Afterwards, we spent some time wandering the property, checking out all the rest of the stuff they have going on. Lots of animals to check out and a bunch of those cut-out pictures to stick your face through. My daughter also enjoyed the awesome metal playgrounds.
We had a fantastic ranch tour. The guide was knowledgable and personable. My three year old loved the train ride, feeding the bison, playing on the playgrounds, and checking out the farm animals.
This place is like cowboy days living. Bison are easily viewed from camp ground or take the train tour. Horse back riding around the ranch. There is a steak house on the property and a little breakfast cafe. Like on any ranch things could use a little work but hey it's worth seeing.
We camp here every time we drive through. The owner, Dan, is a super nice guy. If you like bison, the food is *amazing*. Many great family memories here over the years!
I was at the ranch on personal business. But, we love the ranch. The train ride is a buzz. My 3 year old loves feeding the buffalo on the ride. Being around so many buffalo and other fun livestock is part of the Ranch journey. And you simply must try the Senator restaurant. The food is delicious. Great family destination with a fun taste of American history to boot.
Good place outside of the main town. Super easy for large RV access. Park is easy going and there's a restaurant and store. Activities for family as well. 50 amp, WiFi, 24 hours laundry/showers. Area for dogs.
Customer service was great will go back to this place cabins were awesome
The staff are delightful people, my visit was great
Loads of fun. Able to get up close and personal with bison. Outstanding family outing for kids of all ages.
Interesting history to the place with family friendly things to do.
Recently stopped here with my girlfriend on vacation and had an amazing time! You can ride a little train out to see some animals and feed bison food right out the window. I can't remember our guides name unfortunately(she is the one who used to work for Disney lol)but she was super friendly and made the experience even better. The property has a gift shop on property that is a little overpriced but all tourists places are so if you get upset by that dont buy anything lol. There is also a restaurant on the property that has amazing food. Our bison burgers were delicious. Highly recommend it especially if you want to feed bison
It's incredible and beautiful. The train is a must!!
The ranch is situated on the Wyoming - Colorado border south of Cheyenne. It's a massive ranch with lots of animals to view. It has a historical aspect, having entertained former presidents to include Teddy Roosevelt. It has the longest privately owned interstate railway, which you ride on while the conductor feeds the camel's. They then take you to the buffalo fields where you get to feed the buffalo by hand.
Went to a wedding there and the drunkin employees were asking why did they let Mexicans in there. Ruined the whole night. Some of the worst people anyone could ever meet. I don't recommend anyone going there at all.
Great experience! Fed the bison which was awesome. Ate at the Steakhouse Saloon. Great food. Even better staff! The whole thing is very kids friendly which is fantastic!
Went to set up a Christmas party for my work. They were very helpful and seemed interested in our needs.
Absolutely beautiful!!!!! The bison just roam around waiting to be photographed!! Can't wait to go back!!!!
Food ok if you don't mind sharing with the flies, gift shop sub-par, RV park ok but nothing special and no shade, train ride fun but hot.....
Weird...just flat out weird. The animals treatment was iffy at best. They had very friendly animals like Toby the turkey and very beautiful peacocks but most of the fowl were missing feathers and some had open sores. The train ride to see the Bison was odd but the bisons looked cared for and feeding them was a neat experience. Overall my real concern was for the animals so make your own judgments on this one and Godspeed......
Attended our 3rd straight mother's day here. Sadly, they had made a few changes to the dining seating. Comfort was sacrificed and detracted from the overall experience. Our return might not be as automatic next holiday.
Loved this place. The restaurant had excellent food.
Great place. Fun for the family and the staff is friendly.
Went to the drive in show there to see a Garth Brooks concert! It was very well laid out, easy to get in & out, staff was friendly & communicative, and great picture!
Only complaint was that the staff didnt tell cars to shut off their lights & they didnt tell people not to block the view of the person behind you by sitting on the roof of your car!
Great time here.
We stayed here last year. We found it "rough" but quaint. We stayed here again this year but will never stay again. The roads are BAD. We had to inch over the deep potholes. As we pulled past the office, we were greeted by the most unsightly site of "trailer trash", and I mean that literally. The park was full of long term trailers (looked like transitory workers). They had work trucks, work trailers, propane tanks, plywood skirts, foil in windows and junk piled outside everywhere. We were crammed in between two worker rigs, very close. We had a wind storm and I was very afraid that some JUNK was going to blow and crash into my motorhome window. It cost way too much for this junky park.
I highly recommend the train ride to families and anyone who love bison.
We enjoyed the bison train ride with Johnathon. He was so nice and was absolutely hilarious. He made the train ride so much fun. Our daughter in law was in 7th heaven feeding the bison. If you get a chance go ride the train with Johnathon!! We will go back again
Dining area was wide open and casual. Service was great! Banquet room was nice and large. Location was beautiful.
Over priced food at the restaurant, but cleanest showers and restrooms for the RV park I've ever seen. I don't know if I'd call the fishing "puddle" a pond but there are decent sized trout in it. Besides the highway noise it is fairly quiet and relaxing.
Beautiful place such friendly service the burgers are incredible and the whole ranch has so much to do!!
What fun. Fed a bison by hand. Ate bison burger which was great. Real working ranch. Lots to offer.
Our lot was next to the black dump area, smell was bad, could not enjoy the early summer breeze. The lots are right on top of each other, the worst so far on our month vacation.
A lot of fun on a gigantic ranch that crosses Colorado and Wyoming. The Bison burgers were tasty
Clean level campsites; on site restaurants--one for breakfast and the Steak House for supper. Both were very fast in service and the food was excellent in both places. Particularly enjoyed the train ride to see the buffalo herd and the chance to feed them. We stayed two nights in August 2015 in a Class A RV.
Was there for a wedding reception. Staff was helpful without being in the way or overbearing.
The people where very nice. But the place needed a lot of fixing up. We stayed in 2 cabins 1/3 $250 a night. It sunk of cat pee/poop. We had cats trying to get in our rooms everytime we opened the door. There where moths, loaded in both rooms. They had no bait for fishing and no rods to rent. Also any food supplies you need 15 miles away. They had no marshmallows for s mores at a camp ground for 2days. The place needs work.
Lots of open space and animals - dining available too even if you camp.
Great place to visit I enjoyed my stay, been by here many times and finally stopped.
It was a great place. They were very friendly. We had a great day there!
We stayed here for a night. It was good! Seems like a very family friendly place. They offered a variety of activities. We just got the basic water/sewer site since we mainly just wanted to shower, eat & sleep. Bathhouse is nice. You can tell they re trying to renovate it to make it nicer. They also had a nice camp store. Site was just grass, super basic. But it was on the opposite side of the road up against the field. The road traffic is loud but we sleep with fans so it wasn t an issue for us. All the staff was super helpful & nice!
This is a very unique RV park. The spot we stayed in was a typical 50 amp full hook up spot in close proximity to our neighbors. There are 2 fun, tetnus inducing playgrounds, a large store, 2 restaurants, and a large variety of farm animals. We just stayed overnight while passing through but we'd definitely consider a longer visit in the future.
I made reservations for Easter Sunday and I was NOT let down at all. From the buffet to the train ride it was all good and I highly enjoyed myself. I had a blast feeding the Dave the buffalo, felt like a kid all over again honestly and the employees were very helpful and knowledgeable about the Ranch operation. Downtown Cheyenne, Wyoming isn't too far North from the Ranch as I recommend to check it out before or after for Terry Ranch experience..
This place is not as described.
Fishing, if it was possible, was from just a very tiny pond-about the size of a large swimming pool.
The day we arrived they said fish were all dead-killed after pond was cleaned!
It took only two hours to tour all animals in their rather small pens. Train ride of just 1 hour took you by areas u could already see.
Mattress needs replacing, TV received only 1 of 6 channels.
Restaurant was very good, but we were limited to bar area only, as main restaurant had booked a "private" party of 200 people.
We left after just one night, forfeiting the 2nd night's prepaid room fee.
Not a lot to do in Cheyenne. But at Terry Bison ranch they have a lot. Train ride to feed bison. For the price it is a MUST DO. You can also rides horses and ATVs. Wish I would have known sooner and we would have camped there
Very interesting, our stay was too sort. Lots to go and see
This place is pretty dingy and creepy, the animals at the whatever you call it dont look healthy.
I dont think we will be able to return to this...kinda crazy idea.
That train shouldnt be allowed to run people in it
We did the bison train tour which was super fun and a neat experience! We fed the bisons and our tour guide was funny and knowledgeable.
All employees are nice and knowledgeable great environment
The people there were amazing. It would be five stars, but noise pollution at night can be a little rough. It is right off the highway.
Had a great time on the train ride to feed the bison! Food and service in the restaurant were amazing!
Had such a great time horseback riding, and taking the train.
Pros-
A lot of activities for kids!
They have a on sight steak house.
Long lots.
Cons-
Cats everywhere!!!! Seriously, there everywhere.
No face mask enforcement! For employees or guest! No sanitation what so ever.
We had a very uneven lot, not sure if that s every one.
Super overpriced inside store. I bought a shot glass for my mom, I do this everywhere I go, and it was $18 and some change. $18!!! The most I ve ever paid for one is $9.(including in NYC )
Overall it was okay, but we ll most likely won t go back. Needs quite a bit of updating.
$18....
Great weekend getaway. Lots to see and do. Food was fantastic at the steakhouse. The staff was very nice and helpful.
4 stars because some of the activities are a bit pricey.
It's a very awesome place with lots of neat animals, wagon rides, a restaurant, etc
Totally worth the drive north and food was excellent!
We love this campground, it s really more than a campground because there s so much to do!!!! We did eat at the restaurant but was very disappointed at the quality & the price was a bit high.
We had a great time at the Ranch! Wasn t sure at first what to expect, but found very interesting and fun! Learned a little history and hand fed bison! An experience! Staff were very friendly and informative! We enjoyed as adults, but would like to go back again and take some kids!
Fun to feed the bison. I would only recommend it if you have children.
Just ok for the night. The staff in the office were nice but that s about the only pro for this place. Cons: the park in general seems very rundown, the pull throughs are nice but a lot of the park is muddy and the gas is patchy. Also the prices seem very high for a place like this-$48 for one night, we paid $24 with passport America which is about right for a normal rate. I guess it doesn t get much better in Cheyenne, a lot of the other parks seem this way with expensive rates.
Take the train ride and hand feed the bison. Great experience for everyone
The food was very good along with the service even though they we also hosting a wedding at the same time.
Train tour, classics Wyoming scenery, beautiful wildlife. Restaurant was expensive not really worth the cost. Prime rib buffet cost 29.99, and the food on the menu had a wait time of 45 minutes to an hour. Service was wonderful!
Fun place especially for the kids to see all the animals and feed the buffalo
