Stayed overnight for a friend's wedding. The rooms aren't super-updated (2-3 star seems fair for level of in-room accommodation), but the star of the show is the two swimming pools (one heated), gigantic hot tub, saunas, multiple bars (some of which even serve to the hot tub and pools). Although the rooms aren't as updated as some, it keeps a quaint mountain chalet feel. If you're into fun and relaxation outside your room, you're in for a good time at the Summit Lodge.

Breakfast is amazing. The style is quaint. Great hot tub and heated pool. Rooms are small for four folks and mattresses old. You'd best like your bed partner. Could definitely use some updating, but the location is great. The driveway up can be slippery for a regular car.

Really friendly staff; good food and nice relaxed atmosphere. Wood fires were a highlight. Hotel has slight lived in look but that means it's comfortable with itself. We had one double for me and my wife and one twin for the kids. We stayed 6 nights in April.

The room was exactly what I needed for the early season snowboarding trip. Staff is super nice and accommodating. The rooms are pretty sparse and nothing nearby, but attached restaurant is decent for dinner and common area is large and warm

Cozy, rustic, friendly staff. Not exactly the four seasons, but it's a quaint lodge that's great for families. Has a bed and breakfast feel. Rooms are very outdated, but usually fairly comfortable. The bar downstairs offers a nice option to stay in if you are tired, and they usually have live music at night. Nice buffet breakfast is included in the morning. Shuttle to the mountain included as well. Also within walking distance to the Foundry restaurant /bar.

The theme of this lodge used to be 2 Saint Bernards, and the dogs were always there. New owners took over in 2016 though and there are no more dogs. That was a bit disappointing.

Great job to the whole staff and will be back again next year. Working in the hospitality industry it nice go to place that on point with things but really care and take care of things food was great nothing special but done the right way and flavor on point. the rooms very simple and clean turn over service was great house keeping ask twice if we need anything. Best part of this stay is the home feel when your here. Shuttle to mountain was great driver very nice fully of energy. Only thing that was little upset with was no smores desert and the photo booth was not of service but as a chef I understand that your ventor sometime don't come Thur for orders or things not on the truck I understand that so my view not going change about the stay and five stars what is need for time I was there thankyou for everything and thankyou to great staff. And PS reuben sandwich was great.

My wife and I had our wedding here, and I have to say Billy and his wife made it absolutely perfect!!! They consulted with us beforehand, did a beautiful job decorating, and the St. Bernards were two adorable beasts who simply stole the show! I would book with them again in a heartbeat, and I would definitely recommend the Summit lodge to other soon-to-be newlyweds. A+++

12 Years of Amazing Winter (and Summer) Vacations

12 Years of Amazing Winter (and Summer) Vacations

We just came back from our favorite place for winter vacation. My entire family loves Summit Lodge. We started coming here about 12 year ago with our children and now with our kids grown up and living faraway, I continue coming each year just with my husband. This cozy place is equally great for families, young couples and for older folks. Summit is very clean and it has that beautiful charming Vermont flavor. The hot tub and the swimming pool outside after a day of skiing makes you feel incredible! The hotel's friendly staff with their exceptional service has become our second family.

And let's not forget this place in the summer time - last year we decided to visit in the summer for the first time. It was wonderful! We enjoyed hiking and swimming in the large pool (with a bar) very near a beautiful lake. I must say that Summit Lodge is a great destination for the summer too!

My wife is officially in love with this place. Like everyone else stated rooms are very dated yet feels clean. The amenities is what is going to make us come back. Heated pool, jacuzzi are awesome (the bar will serve you drinks), pub with games (pool, darts and even a photo booth are great. Irish pub food was very good as well. Huge game room with ping pong was nice. Nice lounge area with real fireplace is cozy. Very affordable as well.

BEWARE! BEWARE! BEWARE! Customer relations was HORRIBLE. Staff ABSOLUTELY needs to take a customers relation training or get out of hotel business. It was cold, dark, and snowing, and we had been traveling all day. We arrived at the lodge at 6pm. While driving our rental to lodge entrance, which is up a steep incline, our car gave out about 50 yards from entrance! I called the front desk to see if they could help us, and was told they can give me a number to a tow truck! I explained that we were stuck
on their driveway, and if they had staff that could help us. She said she would send a kitchen staffer to come help after he finished cooking! It was now 7:30pm and no help from the kitchen had arrived! The car worked in reverse, so we decided to reverse the car back out of the road and walked up the steep hill with our luggage! The lady at the front desk had the nerve to say that she could see us on the camera! She saw us, never sent help, and decided to let us struggle! The breakfast was always cold. The eggs were very watery. It was the same items every day: watery eggs, undercooked bacon, potatoes, cold hard pancakes, oatmeal, fruit, & yogurt. The part of the lodge where we stayed had screen doors, all the screens were torn or missing! I seriously warn anybody thinking of staying here...BEWARE!

Staff was super friendly. We showed up out of the blue, had no idea what to expect and had an amazing time. They had a beautiful outdoor space (with plenty of appropriate socially distanced tables) with a pool, music and bar. Staff took all precautions very seriously and even budgeted group times for use of spaces (pool and deck time for example) to ensure everyone remained safe.

Drinks were on point and food was great. Will absolutely stay here next time around. Owners and staff were super helpful.

I enjoyed my stay here. Very cozy place. However, as some reviewers have stated, the rooms need renovations. The bar area is nice after a long day on the slopes. The fireplace in the lobby is fantastic along with the hot tub and heated outdoor pool. I would probably stay their again.

Fantastic views, service was incredible. There are tennis courts, pools, a hot tub, shuffle board, and lawn bowling. A new owner bought the place 6 months ago and he is working very hard to renovate and modernize the place. The staff is very pleasant and attentive.

Our family stayed at The Summit over Thanksgiving '18 and the Killington World Cup races. It was perfect. The location is the best and there is a shuttle. It was the cozy Vermont feel that we loved. Lots of fireplaces and cozy places to sit with privacy and great atmosphere. The staff and the owners are genuinely kind, helpful and welcoming. We would stay here again for sure. And the breakfast is excellent!

Rooms desperately in need of renovation especially bathrooms! Walls are thin...we heard people upstairs from us. Outlets not working well as plugs would be very loose in socket. Sink drained very slowly. Bathroom very small, with very little counter space for toiletries.
On the plus side, breakfast was great. Location is great and grounds look pretty (nice gazebo). Back in the day this was probably a very nice lodge, but I wouldn't recommend now until updates done...however you get what you pay for. It was relatively inexpensive and convenient to Killington!

I have stayed at several lodges in Killington over the last 5 years. The Sumit in my opinion is the best. Most places to stay around here at this price point are a little outdated so know that going in. The Summit has a GREAT staff and kept up with everything beyond expectations while being extremely friendly. Best hot tub and they have cool bar. Good vibes from staff and guests alike. Only regret is I wish had found this place 5 years ago.

Rooms are nice sized and the beds are on the softer side. Hot tub and outdoor heated pool are perfect for relaxing after skiing. Figure out when the kitchen closes as we were snowed in, the kitchen closed and survived on our packed snacks. Common areas looked great and are filled with soft furniture but were pretty empty midweek.

The Summit Lodge rescued me after another hotel told me they had no rooms left even though I had a confirmed reservation made and paid for 5 months earlier. The staff at Summit Lodge were extremely welcoming and accommodating. I was in the area for an event, so I didn't spend much time at the lodge besides showering and sleeping. The hotel is a classic mountain lodge, is in a fantastic location, and there is a good restaurant a very short walk down the hill.

THIS PLACE IS A GEM!! Incredible staff, went out of their way in every way possible to make our stay pleasent and comfortable. Was greeted with cookies and classic Vermont robes upon arrival. The rooms are quaint and just the right size, most have balconies! Breakfast is AMAZING!!! Perfect before a long ski day! Hot tub and pool are the biggest highlight especially because the Irish Pub in the basement will serve you a cold one in the pool!!! The Lodge has an area with Ping pong & cornhole and an amazing common area with a large fireplace, game tables and reading nooks. The Irish Pub in the basement of the lodge is cozy, a short walk away from rooms and the pool. It has a pool table and live music Friday and Saturday nights. All in all this is the best ski lodge I've ever stayed at! I will be back for many more ski trips to come!

Absolutely the best place to stay in Killington. This place screams coziness and character. The staff is very helpful and couldn't be nicer. Outdoor year round pool a must for after a day on the slopes. On premises pub - excellent service, food, and drinks. The only reason it 5 stars is because the reviews with let me give it anymore than 5.

If you re looking for an authentic ski lodge with a rustic feel this is the place. The wood lodge and fire places give it a very ski lodge feeling. As a family of four we enjoyed the common room and played games by the fire with other families and our six year olds enjoyed the hot tub but it was way too cold (high of 7 below) to go outside for the heated pool. We ate at the restaurant a few times and the food was good - especially the specials. The staff was friendly and my girls loved Molly as she took great care of us. As I said it was cold and the rooms were cold but when we mentioned to the staff ty were quick to bring us a space heater and that worked well for the room. Would stay again and recommend for a family looking to make authentic ski lodge memories!

We had an absolutely wonderful time at Summit Lodge! The Irish pub hit the spot after long days of skiing and the bartenders made us feel like family. The chicken pot pie, French onion soup, vegetable soup, and Guinness stew were mouth wateringly good, and the breakfast was leagues above any other hotel or resort breakfast we ve encountered. The fire, hot tub, heated outdoor pool, and other amenities were fantastic: The pictures really don t do this place justice. It s like an all inclusive resort and the world s coziest B&B had a damn cute baby. Location to the mountain was ideal, and the folks at Summit gave us great recommendations for restaurants and ski rentals. In addition, when we had to leave early for unexpected family complications, they were more amenable than we could have possibly hoped! We will be back again and again!

I really want to love this place (hence the 3 stats and not 2) but can't really. The service is exceptional but the hotel isn't in line with the service. Our room (#25) has a bathroom that needs a big refresh. The nobs in the shower were never removed and are transparent so are filled with mold. The sound insulation is almost non existent; we heard people all night and my wife barely got a to sleep. We asked to change room, but we're in season, so they can't swap us. We also can't change place as they reminded us that we're on the hook for all our nights if we leave. That being said, the place has this amazing charm. So delightful. The best fireplace I've ever seen with a space you just want to nest in. Breakfast is very decent. Plenty to eat and fresh. There's decent coffee in the morning with takeaway cups. If they could get the sound issues worked out and refreshed the rooms, I'd love to be back.
