Love this place! Comedy at it's best, the service ...
Love this place! Comedy at it's best, the service staff is outstanding. The eats are tasty. The cocktails could use a lil more liquor. ! Stick to beer or wine .

The staff was friendly and attentive even through the acts. I loved the atmosphere and the building was overall very nice and clean.
The food is so good and the drinks sneak up on you lol but I had a good time seeing Damon Wayne's Jr, great show
Drinks a little expensive but over all wonderful experience
They are open and doing shows!!! They did a great job on spacing out the seats during covid, everything was clean and they have a solid selection of drinks and food. I couldn't have been happier to finally go to a show of some sort.
It was a nice experience, with an exception we had to wait for 1 hour to get our dinner.
Tempe Improv was great! I saw DL Hughley Friday night and went back Sunday to see the new comic performs. All did well, it takes guts and courage to get up on the stage so hats off to All.
The free tickets are not free, there is a two drink minimum. Drinks are very expensive. $15 for a non-alcoholic. Would not recommend.
We had an incredible evening... Will be back again.
Club and their food was good.. and so are the comedians. If you are an ASU alumni, you will enjoy it more. Covid restrictions are followed. Ticket price is reasonable.
Free and easy parking, club was clean, wait staff was great. Nice to have a couple "designated driver" drinks on the menu too. Was a great night.
The show was awesome the drinks were great definitely going back
Always a great show and good time. The service is awesome and there isn t a bad seat in the house. Min. 2 drinks per person (alcohol or non-alcoholic). Reasonably priced drinks for a show. $6 domestics and $7 craft/premium or $11 for beer and a shot under their loaded beer selection. Definitely recommend for a date night or a good laugh.
I had a Ball! I seen Bruce Bruce his performance was lit
Great place, was there for a company event and it was really nice. The waitstaff was attentive, place was clean, lots of parking.
Was a great environment for a night out. Prices where crazy though 16.99 for one drink! Luckily Gary Owen gave a great show last night!
The improv is a welcome ray of sunshine in an otherwise cloudy windshield... what a blast! Service is great! And if you cant have a good time laughing for a couple hours we cant be friends
It was awesome I enjoyed the new look up grades that it has enjoyed the service the food was 10 times better than it was before
I attend comedy shows here at Tempe improve every 2-3 months. This month I was awarded free tickets to see Colin Kane. Didn t know who he was but Tempe improve has NEVER disappointed so I went with friends. The headliner (Colin) was immediately rude and condescending to the previous performers (which I thought were great if not better). There is a difference between being funny and edgy than plain mean. Given he s from NY he certainly shows his roots. Love comedy! Not a prude but mean people are not funny. Colins best jokes are at the expense of the audience, no imagination put in. Tempe improve, I won t hold this one against ya!!
We enjoyed going here when we live in Phoenix. The food and cocktails are good, even if a bit pricey. They recruit the best talent. We've seen too many comedians to even mention. It is fun night out with lots of parking and quality shows.
Good lighting and audio, food and drink prices are kinda high.
Jo Koy was awesome!! Staff did a great job as always...thank you T.I. for putting on a great show.
The comedians were top notch! The wait staff never let you get thirsty. Great atmosphere to relax and laugh.
Cool place. Went here 2 weekends in a row with some friends. They definitely cram you in there pretty tight. Not a bad seat in the house though. Like most comedy clubs, it is a 2 drink minimum which I have no complaints on. For dinner, I ordered the Cajun pasta. Wasn't the greatest and was drowning in sauce, but my expectations also weren't that high being at a comedy club.
Will definitely return, but will probably eat before coming next time.
Frickin great. Beautiful place. Delicious food. Great entertainment!
Organized and lots of seating. 2 drink minimum. Come early to get a good seat.
Was a decent comedy club. The mixed drinks are way over priced like 18 bucks each.
Great place! First show in Spanish! Very interesting good drinks and friendly staff
First time ever going to a comedy show and went to this location. It was bigger than I thought it would be. The staff and our waiter was curious throughout the evening. Only gripe was that I dont know if it was new bartender that night or its done on the regular but all but 3 out of 4 initial drinks had to be substituted with other drinks due to them not made correctly. The food was pretty good though so that made up for it. All in all had a good time there! Recommended!
"World Famous Tempe Improve" ? HUH!
Give me a f***ing break. 2 tickets, 2 dinners, and 2 waters for about $150. Had to sit on a VERY uncomfortable bar stool / chair for 2hrs watching the show and had to eat our food on our laps. Just go to Denny's and watch something on YouTube instead...
Amazing date night spot or to go with friends! If u love to laugh this is a great spot for u! Sign up for the notifications with them & get free tix all the time just know it's a 2 drink minimum
Super cool venue that provides laughs for days and a good strong pour on their drinks!
Lots of fun and laughs! Staff is super friendly! Two drink minimum is not bad.
Went last night for Pete Lee's showtime special. Not enough social distancing of you ask me.
The venue is great. Only thing that brought it to 4 stars maybe 3 stars is the elevator to get up to it was not working and no signs posted. Not the venus fault but the land lord needs to put up signs and get it fixed
Went to see Mitch Fatel, great time, funny as hell!
Would come again! It was my first time and everyone in my group including myself had a blast! The food was good but a bit on the pricey side. Over all i enjoyed my evening.
First time there and probably won't be back. The show was fine. I was in the VIP section but felt like stuffed sardines. The way the tables were set up wasn't ideal to watch the show. And having to buy 2 overpriced drinks was a turn off. If you have to do that at least let it be buy any 2 items.
Great comedy shows. This location has been here forever, could use a little updating. They do have a drink minimum so be prepared to purchase something. We have enjoyed the comedians here.
Great location, easy to see stage and friendly staff.
They don't social distance...more like maybe 3 feet distance if that ...unable to take pics..they didn't all cellphones in the comedy show room.
Great atmosphere to relax and enjoy a great time, while you laugh your butt off.
We had the best date night ever! We came in to see mitch fatel last minute and we had a great time. It was my first comedy show ever so I didnt know what to expect. It was a very cute intimate layout and the comedians were very funny! Good food and drinks to enjoy during the show as well.
Great show tonight. Staff was friendly and the comics were all funny.
Great place but the seating is a little sardine style like at stand up live. Foods good, drinks aren't too crazy but still like 2 dollars too much.
With the social distancing, you don't feel as cramped like you do at Stand-up Live. Staff us awesome, and food was great.
I come here all the time. Great atmosphere, they have great shows and the service is excellent as well.
Love coming here but just wish there was more room for seating as well as bathrooms.
The staff is trash and drinks are expensive. I won t ever be back. If there was a zero stars option that s what they would get.
The drinks and meal were overpriced. I had two non alcoholic beverages at $13 each? My husband had two beers for $8 each. That doesn't make sense at all. How is a nonalcoholc drink more expensive than alcohol. You are required to order 2 drinks per person which is fine but a soft drink cost more than a beer?
Almost $20 for nachos that was all chips under a single top layer of meat and cheese. They squeezed everyone in like sardines. Another party placed their walker right next to my seat crowding me in even more. There is no elbow room whatsoever.
The feeling was uncomfortable and unrelaxed.
Always an excellent show, and the service is First Rate.
Phenomenal employees..helpful and polite. And a GREAT show tonite.
Best venue for comedy ever. Delicious menu and awesome staff.
Love the acts that come through. But also the staff is quick and efficient. Always feel like I can breathe inside. Never feels like an aged and forgotten venue
Great show. Titus was awesome. Staff was awesome. Prices were high. Only drawback.
Saw Collin Kane recently. Great show and great place as always!
The comedians here are great!
However you can order a three-course meal and spent 40 bucks and they will still enforce the must buy two drinks policy. I would not have had the food had I known the food did not mean anything.
They also added a 15% gratuity "for my convenience." The even leave a little spot for you to write in an additional tip. Now why would I need to do that? Because you have already done it for me. Normally I tip the customary 20% but not going to bother doing that here because they've already added it for me.
And as soon as the lights on the stage are out and the house lights are up they kick open the back door and heard you out like a bunch of cattle. No time to finish my dessert or my drink here.
The comedy was great but i should have checked the prices on cocktails before ordering.
Comedians were hilarious, food and service were both excellent.
One of the best clubs in the Valley. Great national and local comics. Love performing here. Will be doing a benefit show on 12/14 at 10p. Come out and support us locals in this amazing place for laughs.
Went last night 8/10 to Mitch Fatal.
WORST SHOW I'VE BEEN TO IN MY LIFE.
HE WAS NOT EVEN REMOTELY FUNNY..
Pd $15 for a red sangria that tasted like juice only. Then a weak ice tea for $5.50.
If the comedian had not been HORRIBLE maybe I wouldn't have minded paying these outrageous prices.
The comedy was good but the service was nasty. Our server was rude, obnoxious and an overall liar. Also I talked to the manager about our services he would not help or offer any customer service support. I am truly disappointed in my experience and is reluctant to ever be a patreon there again.
They are so nice. They understand customer service. They always offer me free tickets. Love this place.
The place is actually really nice and drinks are great. My only gripes are the seating. Very uncomfortable and close to EVERYONE. Being a college area, I typically get stuck next to some drunken 20 year old. Super obnoxious!
I LOVE THE ATMOSPHERE. THE COMEDIAN I SAW WAS ALEX RAYMUNDO. THE DRINKS WERE TO DIE FOR, THE HAMBURGER SLIDERS FOR SO GOOD.
Fantastic show! Great place to laugh with friends or a date. Don't order the specialty drinks though! Ended up paying 80$ for 4 drinks. Order drinks from the regular menu.
We had a great time here. Saw one of my favorite comedians. The seating is a little tight looking at first, but turned out to be comfortable for the show. The overall atmosphere of the club is very nice. The server was great and the food was surprisingly good. I will definitely be going back.
Went for a work function and truly had a great time. The improv has a great environment
The seating is setup for social distancing. Great place to go for a few laughs.
Went for a date. Overall was a good time. Our server was decent. COVID precautions in place, but the plastic dividers were very low that I'm not sure it would protect against minimizing the spread of droplets if someone coughed. Food was good, drinks were good. It has been a while since I'd gone and I can say parking has improved. I'll be back for sure.
Saw CristinaP and she was funny and great. Not so great was the (standard) two drink min, which will set you back $20 a person on top of whatever the ticket price is. Not so bad for drinkers I guess but paying $16 for a mocktail or $9 for a diet Coke was just too dam pricey, why can't I get an appetizer or something? The sound system could also be better, I couldn't understand most of what the first comedian was saying.
The two "free tickets" is also a joke in that they don't work for anyone you would recognize.
I will never go there again. I was there for a trivia contest and had to spend money on the 2 deink minimum. And they wanted
$ 6.95 on 1 bottle of WATER
This was the first time my wife and I have been to the Improv and we couldn't have asked for a better experience! There was a bit of a line for the later show but it didn't take too long. Turns out we accidentally purchased tickets for the wrong day and were worried we wouldn't be able to get in! Gavin in the box office was very personable and quickly remedied our issue. We were seated near the back which was perfect! Full view of the beautiful theater. The show started on time and the comedian was hilarious. Our server Jacob was as knowledgeable as he was friendly. Even though it was a bit too late for dinner for us, all of the food looked amazing (as it was passing us by LOL). The drinks are mandatory and a tad expensive but worth it for the whole experience.
We signed up for their VIP program and have already been offered tickets to a show for basically nothing! We are definitely planning on coming back soon.
Waiters were very attentive and respectful, comedy lineup is always hilarious. Never any issues at tempe improv!
Love this place! Do not love the 2 drink minimum prices though. Those are brutal.
I always see such great comedians here. Seating seems to be on first come basis, so get in line a bit early. The later shows usually have a huge line before the doors open.
Thank you for yet again another amazing night filled with endless laughs!
Had a great time! The comedy was awesome tonight! Had the bruchetta & it was pretty bomb! Little shocked at the non-alcoholic beverage prices...i think i could have gotten a coke at the airport cheaper! But... Good time & good service!
Had a great time! Food and drinks pricey but service is great.
We have been to the Improv many times. December visit to see Darrell Hammond was not a good experience. Our server was slow, slow. He asked if we would like our drinks to be doubles. All in our party of 7 clearly said NO DOUBLES. We were charged for doubles and/or floaters. I made several calls and left several messages with no response at all. I spoke with Collin who could not help, but would give Chad Reina (GM) my message. No call back after four or five calls. I gave up. I can promise that I will always pass on my experience about this to potential customers. I don't mind paying, however I won't be cheated.
Although the line was long, they got us inside safely and quickly. The food was great and they always have hilarious headliners!
